If its too old for you, part 2, from beginning to end. Dont listen to nigs who tell you to skip to their favorite episodes of it. The show is one of the most varied and interesting pieces of episodic television ever made.

I’m sorry, but Lupin is the Part 2 Pioneer dub for me. It’s what I grew up with, and I know they changed a ton of stuff to make it more contemporary, but the cast is good.
I don't hate it too much on it's own. It's just not that accurate to the original dialogue, wish they'd redub it to be closer to the OG and have the former dub be a fun oddity.
My biggest issue with it though is that it is missing the entire second half of the series. A big issue as some of the best episodes are in the second half and haven't been dubbed period (Except the two Miyazaki episodes, but by a entirely different company years earlier for a VHS release to cash in on Cagliostro)

Then no one would buy it. Lupin needed more than a hardcore following to buy it to keep the franchise alive. Pioneer made a deal with CN, CN asked if it could be updated for the Adult Swim audience a little, and this was the result of the adaptation: a Lupin most remember outside of Cagliostro at the rental store. Dated references in the dub to the 70s weren't going to sell Lupin

Tony Oliver is on par with Yasou Yamada for me. Same with Dan Lorge as Zenigata. They give it their all and it's entertaining as frick.
Part 1 is higher quality generally than part 2 even though part 1 is almost a decade older
However Part 1 is also only like 25 episodes compared to part 2s near 200 eps so it makes sense that the part 1 eps are a little more quality
Part 1 isn't really higher quality than part 2 at all. Part 2 came off to a rocky start with low budget and choppy animation in the first 2 seasons of it, but Season 3 and onward has pretty great animation generally. And it's extremely varied in what each episode does, the crazy cartoony LSD trips that are the New York episodes are a personal favorite of mine, and they far outclass most of Part 1 in terms of creativity.
Original Italian dub is the only way I watch lupin

I don't particularly like the inconsistencies with Fujiko's character..Sometimes she's weak/damsel in distress type girl and gets btfo by not particularly strong men, and other times they do that webm with her
I like the Red Jacket interpretation of her just being a constant treacherous b***h that nobody but Lupin likes and fricks up the gang constantly in every episode. Most realistic fictional portrayal of a woman I've seen.

Miyazaki made one Lupin movie, that's the only Lupin media worth watching. The writing and style is extremely dated and juvenile even in the Miyazaki film, but atleast the animation and drawing is top tier (because Miyazaki)
