Lucasfilm changed their mind with recreating legacy characters with CGI, that's why C3PO was used as a stand in for Leia in Ahsoka's recent episode. I'd expect a recast soon, there's no way Luke and company aren't included in the Filoni movie

The problem with most of these is they're made to be inconsequential side stories to a bigger narrative we saw concluded years ago. They're afraid of letting these shows and characters have their own /important/ place in their world so it ends up making the galaxy feel incredibly small and the timeline extremely cramped because nobody can ever outshine Luke Skywalker. This is part of why I like the Old Republic, High Republic and Legacy Eras. The Rebellion Era has be wrung out to hell and back. Shit give me a show about Jedi Explorers on the outer rim finding people and factions that can mess up a Jedi like it was nothing. Bring back the adventure and dangers to these stories.
