Can you really call someone a fan of a character when they lust over off model images? The fact that there's so much off model images goes to show that people don't respect the characters or their designs enough to actually stay true to the designs, instead they create what they see the characters as, designs warped by lust.
Also when it comes to "people's right" there actually good evidence that sexual content isn't protected by such freedom laws in the USA as according to the law, obscene speech is not free speech so any and all obscene imagery will most likely not be protected under any freedom laws.

It's not really disrespect when a creator wants the entire world to cave to their unrealistic whims. People are horny, and that's not going to change just because an animator made a tweet asking otherwise. I could shit out an animation on YouTube and then make a tweet demanding Ukraine surrender to the Ruskies by the end of the day. Would it be disrespectful to me as a creator if Ukraine unsurprisingly still existed the next day despite my unrealistic whims as a bumfrick animator? You can ask for anything but you are owed nothing.
You're comparing creators wanting respect to a war.
And yes, creators are owed respect. To do otherwise then you simply are not a fan of them or their work.

You're trying to make these things sound bad, yet just 15 years ago sex appeal for men was considered completely normal and nobody minded, not even the women. Cinemaphile is not the one that should be blamed, the rest of the world is for changing for the worse.
Roman and Byzantine history fricking bores me and medieval European history is a bunch of inbred kings fighting over scraps of land that sound like locations in a Dr. Seuss book. European history doesn't get interesting until the 1600's. The exceptions are the plague and Charlemagne
It's funny how they dismiss 900 year old cathedrals that reach to the heavens, yet ooh and ahh at third world mud huts. Do they realise how racist they're being? Bigotry of low expectations
History is requires a lot of patience to endure cause you have to trudge though a lot of tedious stuff to get to anything exciting, I don't blame the average person for falling asleep to it. Ironically the best and most iconic moments from fictional stories are just repackaging of actually Historical events.
This was a graduation film for students at, I think, SCAD? Those films tend to be pretty short.
People seem to think this was going to be a series or full film for some reason. It's just a student project.
I'm your average Spaniard gay, so I'll crap on this a little.
> See Spain's flag. > Oh shit, is this made by fellow Spaniards!!? > See it takes place in Barcelona (Cataluña) > Don't see the Catalan flag despite being an official building. > Don't see anybody burning the Spanish flag despite this taking place in Barcelona, where they do that for sport. > I start to suspect this isn't made by fellow Spaniards. > The very American yellow school bus supports that, as we don't have those here. > The building shown in the introduction looks nothing like the real counterpart (pic attached). > End credits show not a single Spanish name.
How weird to set it in a real location in Spain then, no? Let's watch it anyway.
> Two girls get bored during a museum visit. >Understandable. > One accidentally punches through the most religious painting around. > Feels a bit on the nose but let's go on. Maybe it's a parody on that moronic woman that ruined that Christ painting while restoring it and started the Monkey Christ meme. > Nope, they restore it with anime doodles. > They get busted. > Some moronic woman shows up, thinking this was an art exhibit instead of a museum, and buys the painting for the price of 2 mansions. > The girls are immediately left off the hook. No consequences to their actions.
Wow, that was bad. I guess not much can be expected from someone that thinks a museum and an art exhibit are the same thing.
Nope, seeing the yellow bus there doesn't annoy me. Unsure where you read that. I'm just using the bus as evidence that the work only takes place in Spain and isn't written by Spaniards, which is later confirmed in the end credits.
My point, which flew over your head entirely, is that I found it weird they picked such a specific real world location for this when they weren't going to look up anything about it.
Allegedly the girls were somewhat based on one or more of the creator's grandparents who were spanish or something, hence that setting. But I assume despite that heritage the creators themselves grew up outside of Spain.
>Allegedly the girls were somewhat based on one or more of the creator's grandparents who were spanish or something
It's based on the creators mom and her friend.
>Why tf is this set in Spain
The creator, a second generation inmigrant, said that the show is inspired by her mother's childhood in Spain. The odd part is that he made Carmen, the character inspired by her mom, a latina, brown skin and slanty eyes. I dunno why.

To be fair you don't usually see "coming soon" for a 3 minute college short. I had an easier time getting hyped for this than Hailey's on It, for example.
The short? Most probably. The fanart? I fricking hope not.
>you don't usually see "coming soon" for a 3 minute college short
Those sorts of posters/announcements/trailers are made all the time. To see them, you typically have to be plugged into the indie animation/student scenes on social media. Those announcements just don't typically get posted to Cinemaphile.
I suspect that the creators were trying to establish some online buzz to help the film go viral and they purposefully asked people not to lewd the characters, then posted about that request themselves here on Cinemaphile because they know anons are easy to manipulate. The fact that people are still talking about this random-ass student film just shows that they were right.
>Is it just me or is the audio mixing bad?
Bad audio mixing in student films is SUPER common. They either try to do it themselves, or they get a friend who plays guitar and dicks around in garage band to do it. Turns out art school students have no fricking clue how audio works.
That was an alright time. For how long I've heard about it and how long it was in development hell I thought it was a movie. Then I saw 3 minutes and thought it was a trailer or a teaser. But that's it. Extremely underwhelming but cute girls are in it and cute girls always save whatever they are in. Sex with the main characters
>development hell
What the frick are you talking about? This was a final project for some college students. There was no “development hell”; it was made and turned in, and then the students graduated. That’s it.
fun fact, she's from another pitch that didn't get animated

I would assume a series would be about whatever hijinks the girls get up to since that's essentially the plot of the film
Yeah, they already have the visual style, design and some blank slates to work off it. That's most of the way there already. Just make it whatever SoL shenanigans. I'd watch it.
If this is the final draft, then it's kinda underwhelming for the bit of hype there was before and after the stated release time. Still looks half finished too.
Damn, the poster gave me the impression that this was gonna be a professional short film but this is painfully amateur. Also that fake "cel animation" look with those shadows bother me more than it should since everything else looks obviously digital, if you're gonna imitate a traditional medium go big or go home because this half-assed shit isn't appealing.
it's a student project. They made it as a final project to graduate. It's on the festival circuit right now to try to get some accolades for the creators (which will help with their careers), but then it will probably be dumped unceremoniously on youtube.

Africa is the way it is because of how fruitful the continent is. There's no need to develop agriculture because so many edible fruits and vegetables grow in abundance in the wild, and no need to domesticate animals because so many medium-sized herbivores exist in giant herds ripe for hunting. It's like how in the precolonial america we had herds of bison that stretched from sunrise to sunset in the Great Plains.

Oh don't get me wrong, i don't want anything from them, i know they're just as bad, it's just that they aren't really the focus here, you know?
You're comparing creators wanting respect to a war.
And yes, creators are owed respect. To do otherwise then you simply are not a fan of them or their work.
This is not a hill to die on... people are going to do what they want. You're wasting time here.
Just because people will do whatever they want doesn't make what they want to do any less disrespectful.
>the desire to control humanity at a fundamentally deep level
Which is exactly what porn does while destroying beauty
okay and? we are paying customers so our word goes
if we want hot girls in media you better give that shit to us
The customer isn't always right, especially when it goes against creator vision.
Anita Sarkeesian makes my dick become prominent in my pants
Thanks for reminding me. I need to do some commissions featuring these wienerbawds
WAHHH WOMEN HAVE TO BE UGLY WAHHHH
I'm not saying they have to be, i'm saying it's people like you who prove the practice right.
I agree with you but you're moronic if you think anyone here is smart enough / has any chance at going to heaven
You can ask for anything but you are owed nothing.
>spongebob poster
>dogshit take
some things never change
Is it really hard for people to say the word "opinion" these days?
And besides, it's an observation.
I'm being serious though.
You mean disrespectful drawings?
>this many replies to bait
Cinemaphile is utterly hopeless
I agree
You're trying to make these things sound bad, yet just 15 years ago sex appeal for men was considered completely normal and nobody minded, not even the women. Cinemaphile is not the one that should be blamed, the rest of the world is for changing for the worse.
Oh i agree that the world is changing for the worst, although i think we might agree for different, yet some overlapping, reasons.
how the frick is fan art porn a bad thing? fans should be able to do anything with it
it's like music. it's people's right
yet another victim of film festivals not allowing you to have the work published online
Just saw it; doesn’t feel like a film festival short, more like a TV pilot.
don't tell the creator I posted this Cinemaphile
>five seconds in
>white people history is le SO BORING
off to a bad start.
what are you talking about? that literally did not happen.
anyways the art lady is hot.
im joking, it was decent. wasnt expecting it to have profanity tho
white people history is boring
Roman and Byzantine history fricking bores me and medieval European history is a bunch of inbred kings fighting over scraps of land that sound like locations in a Dr. Seuss book. European history doesn't get interesting until the 1600's. The exceptions are the plague and Charlemagne
>Roman and Byzantine
>white
They're responsible for nearly all European societies so yes.
Out if curiosity what do you think of non European history?
It's funny how they dismiss 900 year old cathedrals that reach to the heavens, yet ooh and ahh at third world mud huts. Do they realise how racist they're being? Bigotry of low expectations
All history is boring, white people history is the least boring because it's the most developed but it's still boring as shit.
History is requires a lot of patience to endure cause you have to trudge though a lot of tedious stuff to get to anything exciting, I don't blame the average person for falling asleep to it. Ironically the best and most iconic moments from fictional stories are just repackaging of actually Historical events.
Oh, I thought it would be longer. Is this the finished version or just whatever they have currently?
This was a graduation film for students at, I think, SCAD? Those films tend to be pretty short.
People seem to think this was going to be a series or full film for some reason. It's just a student project.
Well, that was cliché and predictable.
A little short. Hope there's actually more to it.
That's what she said!
it's a student film for graduation. This is it.
Cute. This will make a fine addition to my collection.
they blew their entire budget on cool shots but crapped the bed on the movements, sexy girls though
This still doesnt look finished.
Like im convinced the reason why they needed the extra time to work on this was because the framerate is out of sync
yeah. It felt more like a high end animatic rather than a finished product.
>they blew their entire budget
their budget of $0?
This is a student project. There's no budget. They just do this to graduate.
Would’ve been better without the dialogue.
This looks like a mediocre youtube animation from 2011 that would only be popular due to drama involving the creator years later.
I'm your average Spaniard gay, so I'll crap on this a little.
> See Spain's flag.
> Oh shit, is this made by fellow Spaniards!!?
> See it takes place in Barcelona (Cataluña)
> Don't see the Catalan flag despite being an official building.
If american partialism annoys you, I'd hate to see your reaction to 20th century cartoons that were made before globalisation was pushed.
¿Qué dices, shur?
>Why tf is this set in Spain
The creator, a second generation inmigrant, said that the show is inspired by her mother's childhood in Spain. The odd part is that he made Carmen, the character inspired by her mom, a latina, brown skin and slanty eyes. I dunno why.
Does the creator's mom know about this let alone the fan art?
I'm sure they don't.
I think she would be flattered.
The short? Most probably. The fanart? I fricking hope not.
if i were here i would pretend i despise it but secretly love it
>Please, Mr. Fourchan. Stop potraying me getting molested by my best friend! She's not a lesbian nor a bully, and I would not want her pin me to a wall and finger me in front of our classmates, completely under her control. You are deeply disturbed!
Post the whole thing?
This is why you don't base it off anyone so they don't get freaked out later or family jack off to it by accident.
>> Don't see anybody burning the Spanish flag despite this taking place in Barcelona, where they do that for sport.
kek
wow this is amateurish as frick, it looks like a college animation film. granted one of the better ones, but still.
>it looks like a college animation film
that's what this is, ya dingus.
To be fair you don't usually see "coming soon" for a 3 minute college short. I had an easier time getting hyped for this than Hailey's on It, for example.
Oh yeah, what's she gonna do about it?
>you don't usually see "coming soon" for a 3 minute college short
Those sorts of posters/announcements/trailers are made all the time. To see them, you typically have to be plugged into the indie animation/student scenes on social media. Those announcements just don't typically get posted to Cinemaphile.
I suspect that the creators were trying to establish some online buzz to help the film go viral and they purposefully asked people not to lewd the characters, then posted about that request themselves here on Cinemaphile because they know anons are easy to manipulate. The fact that people are still talking about this random-ass student film just shows that they were right.
Eh. Making a “coming” soon is good practice/experience for what happens with real projects. Honestly should happen more
Is it just me or is the audio mixing bad? The voices fluctuate in volume and I had to raise and lower the volume all the time.
I now understand why most indie shorts don't have voice acting
the audio mixing is bad, this shit is hot garbage ngl.
>Is it just me or is the audio mixing bad?
Bad audio mixing in student films is SUPER common. They either try to do it themselves, or they get a friend who plays guitar and dicks around in garage band to do it. Turns out art school students have no fricking clue how audio works.
Mid kino
Why does it look sketchy half of the time but cleanly lined the other half? It's like it's 3/4 done
That’s it.
homies got like no object permanence when it comes to developing media.
>no moar content its dead!!!
That attempt at perspective panning was REAL off. And the humor is just whatever.
ToT
>expected dicky
>just cheaply drawn anime girls
meh
Sweet, dude, thanks.
Nice to know that Maria has more a caboose then Carmen.
It looks like just a one off animation to get into the industry, what can a series of this be about?
Yeah, they already have the visual style, design and some blank slates to work off it. That's most of the way there already. Just make it whatever SoL shenanigans. I'd watch it.
This movie sucks. When are the two little girls going to kiss?
well, that was boring
I thought it was going to turn into porn several times throughout.
Would have been better without any dialog.
anyone has the clear template again?
worst plot I've seen in years, only the character design is worth saving
the best fanart so far
>the best fanart so far
naw, there was a guy who actually drew them on-model, but lewd.
there are definitely better-drawn ones, but for me, the context / pose / dialogue is a big part of how much I enjoy it
If this is the final draft, then it's kinda underwhelming for the bit of hype there was before and after the stated release time.
In hell!
Guise
I love Maria. Look at this little goober
fun fact, she's from another pitch that didn't get animated
I would assume a series would be about whatever hijinks the girls get up to since that's essentially the plot of the film
Is that real equation also dose Catholic school sucks.
Which character would you plow?
Madam Fru Fru because I’m not a homosexual or a pedophile, you sick frick.
>Old, dusty, and busted pussy
Well at least your morality will stay safe, just like your virginity.
y = -7
Shut up nerd!
Does that really happened?
Also rape.
I want to sniff her hair so bad
They think it's weird but let you most times. It always smells nice and the hair is always more fluffy or bouncy or something.
Or so I'm told
Where was this supposed to come out on?
it's a student project. They made it as a final project to graduate. It's on the festival circuit right now to try to get some accolades for the creators (which will help with their careers), but then it will probably be dumped unceremoniously on youtube.
>Cinemaphile pedophiles obsesses over this
>It's an average short with childish shenanigans
God you people need help
Goes to shows how important visuals are to a show success and why the western animation industry is eating shit now because of ideas like
Visuals and sexualizing/objectifying characters (Especially little kid characters, ones based on real girls in fact) are not the same.
imagine
I never shouldn't of made that original thread.
oops double negative
too late you have already marked yourself as an ESL now everyone point at him and laugh AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Context?
Hmm I wonder if the creator liked Cats Don't Dance
There's alot of talk about how Cinemaphile supposedly wants to do nasty things to this little girls but I'm not seeing a lot of fanart being posted
Despite multiple threads when it was initially announced there wasn't actually a whole lot of lewd content created. I guess maybe them telling people not to make porn actually worked to an extent.
I think it has more to do with the fact that it’s a relatively obscure student animation and not an actual pilot or show.
I mean, most of it can't be posted here.
Im shocked that Cinemaphile doesnt like the girl with the little poof bun
I've always been more of a short gremlin fan.
I want to sex all of them. Especially the short one, followed by the one with that face thing, then the tallest one
girls are pretty plain tbh
but despite everything, the character design is the only salvageable thing from this short
they're making a cartoon of my favourite lesbian romcom?
Reminds me a lot visually of Bad Machinery
I guess that’s just how Euro school uniforms look, but it’s certainly there. This could be Lottie and Mildred and it’d work just the same.
Africa is the way it is because of how fruitful the continent is. There's no need to develop agriculture because so many edible fruits and vegetables grow in abundance in the wild, and no need to domesticate animals because so many medium-sized herbivores exist in giant herds ripe for hunting. It's like how in the precolonial america we had herds of bison that stretched from sunrise to sunset in the Great Plains.
>no domesticate animals
that's B.S
You know the two biggest tribes in africa is based around horse and cow worship
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fula_people

>north Africans of Arab/moorish descent
Lol
>north Africans of Arab/moorish descent
Nope
>Nok terracotta figurine of a man on horseback
age: 1,400 to 2,000 years old
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nok_culture#cite_note-AMV-22
>Nok culture have been excavated. Since 1945, similar figurines and pottery have been found in many other locations in the area, often uncovered accidentally by modern tin miners, and dating from before 500 BC to 200 AD.
homie that's just a broken buck
>My history comment got pruned
Sex with Maria and Carmen
