Shame the schizo stuff got dropped after only 2 episodes. Adding an unreliable narrator gimmick made the cliche conspiracy formula feel fresh.
You guys got more series like this to recommend? Anyone saw the 3 Days of Condor show, is it worthwhile? Shooter TV adaptation looks pretty lame. Finished Jack Ryan and Reacher and I have Old Man and Strike Back on the backlog.
I actually agree with you a little bit on this and I still loved this show.
What was your favorite kill off the list? Mine is a tie between the CEO frogman LARPer and the guy he blackmailed into being a suicide bomber.
Bomber.
"Haha u no get this!"

Frickin great.
Watching the forst ep.

Ye sorry bruh.
Gets so much better later in the ep.
Still opening action scene sucks
Condor is great. S01 is solid, S02 is better imo. Was hoping they'd renew it for a S03 but it doesn't seem likely. But it ends okay enough for it to feel relatively complete.

Amazing scene. Great series. Some of the best pacing I've seen in an action/spy/thriller show in ages.
If you're a liberal, you probably have low t you probably won't get it and won't like it, stick to Stranger Trannies 4

>Some of the best pacing
Come on anon, that's just disingenuous. Pacing is all over the place and the fricking "bird hits window but now Reece is outside, now it's five thousand birds etc" schizoid scenes take up about a full episode's worth of runtime.
It's a pretty good show but they should've given it quite a bit of polish because it comes off as if they didn't have 8 episodes' worth of material so they had to pad it with all the flashbacks/hallucinations.

Nah, not that poster and you are just a sperg. The scenes were supposed to be unsettling and jarring because it connects with the character because that's what the character was going through. No shit. There are scenes where they are doing a great job - ep4 opening with Luce is amazing, or when he submerges into the water in the finale - but there are more than enough occasions where it's fricking jarring with the show only Ep6 being the worst offender.
Besides the three or so flashbacks that episode was just an overall mess where everything gets resolved by Reece teleporting away.
Ugh yeah it’s called the terminal list because he has a terminal disease and has to kill everyone who wronged him before he dies. Revenge and vigilantism is the whole plot since the very first episode.
The reviews on rotten tomatoes are pathetic, homosexuals got triggered by the overt right wing themes and christian imagery and ideas and shat on the show

Pretty cool how they picked out his head sig from any rocks or animals and narrowed it down to one dot, right? Amazing how those things just happen like that.
Season 1 is always the peak of these Prime Originals before they go to shit in Season 2.
Jack Ryan. Sneaky Pete. Patriot. Reacher S1 wasn't even close to any of those.
Suicide bomber. The core theme of fighting as a counter-insurgent, then becoming one is really nailed by using the same tactics on home soil. It's also a little heartbreaking watching a guy, some JAG who's never seen combat, who covered for his superior's murder of his own men, seriously consider letting his family die, then harden himself to do whatever it takes to ensure they live.

Black person your TV being dogshit is not a problem with the show
Idk. Even beyond from being dark they have these head gear that covers their faces.
Not that I know these characters or who they are to begin with anyway
I agree a dark tunnel scene with everyone wearing the same uniform and helmets covering facs is kind of shitty to set the tone; Dark and low contrast/muddled cinematography is a bit an issue throughout imo, really hate digital. But most of the other action scenes are daytime/outdoors, DPs did a good job overall, despite the low contrast I was often pleased with the look of the show, it feels like a 8 hours movie. Action direction is a bit underwhelming, it's just serviceable, generic staging and editing, never elevated by directors. I think even generic direction could have been elevated by more details on tactics/operator stuff but even that aspect feels lacking outside of the final raid. It's mostly carried by the atmosphere and the conspiracy stuff.
Idk why that one dude said it was too dark, I was watching on my monitor so that is probably why it seemed clearer to me, I never had an issue seeing their faces and such. Maybe they should just not watch on a shitty Walmart TV.
It wasn't bright that's for sure. And it didn't help everyone was wearing black clothes with head gear covering their faces. I guess it doesn't matter because they all die anyway, but I don't really feel anything if faceless dudes I met a second ago start dropping like flies.
The editing also didn't help. It's disorienting. Just cut randomly between people shooting. Viewer can't really grasp where the characters or enemies are situated in the scene.
Like if the point was to be confusing then I guess it works but it's just not a very good/fun action scene to watch
The problem isn't his TV or that it's dark, it's that it's dark and low contrast, which is an issue with digital, how current DPs light for digital, how they under process it so it'll get color graded in post, except in post they do it in perfect pitch black environments without normal daily light bouncing off the screen, and then it doesn't help that it's distributed via streaming which ruins some of the picture quality.
Same reason people complained about that final season battle episode of GoT.
>hahahahaha this fictional show is supporting my delusional beliefs take that Other side!
Is fricking funny how similar the left trannies and the right chuds are. LMAO.
Navy seals are c**ts, it’s just the OC of a deranged sociopath that probably mulched women and kids, and then wrote a book about how awesome he is for doing it, hard pass sounds gay as frick
I hate Seals as much as any lolbertarian but I enjoyed the show. It focused more on the revenge story than "muh murica" like American Sniper, also Chris Kyle was a douche.
I’m good, I’ll just rewatch action movies from the 80s back when I was able to believe any such person would have any compunctions at all about killing his own people and wouldn’t just get a hard on from it before trying to guilt trip you into giving him money about it
That is literally just one propoganda piece. You should have expected that from a US centered film. That is like watching a Tom Clancy film and getting mad because they talk shit about Russians.
Impacts from mortars were geolocated to come from FSA/Jihadi sides. There is bunch of info out on it. USA denied this ofc saying the FSA doesnt to this etc. But its very believeable that jihadis did this right/when UN were some shit close to them
>Conservative white family man kills glowies, politicians, zogbots, mexicans, oil ceos, and big pharma over a conspiracy involving an experimental vaccine pushed through via emergency powers
No wonder critics are kvetching so hard
If you remember Man on Fire they also seethed about that movie because it wasn't PC and they were killing corrupt traffickers in Mexico. Similar concept. There's a few things going on in the show: 1. Revenge stories don't get good reviews 2. "Overthrowing" the government after Jan 6. anything even remotely close to this has them seething 3. Anything involving the military generally gets bad reviews except for something like Zero Dark Thirty because it praised the Obama administration for finding Bin Laden and muh women analysts.
The guy that wrote the book and executive produced the show is a reitred navy seal that went on Joe Rogan.
Reddit hated on this show before it even came out.
Man, Amazon prime is fricking dogshit for subtitles. Netflix understands window sizes and at least puts the subs over the fricking video, instead of at the bottom of the screen.
Anyone in here making the webms of this? I have a suggestion:
Make on of Chris yelling over his family's bodies. No other cuts, just him yelling where he rocks back. It would probably work better as a gif so either gif or webm.
I don't understand how he got out of the first episode. He should've been arrested for the murder of his wife and child and his schizo story of killing a hitman at the hospital would've been ignored. The fact nobody even thinks the PTSD guy would snap and kill his family is preposterous.
I'm left wing and I'm not seeing the right wingerness here at all. It just looks like some fun revenge kino. Why do absolute morons turn absolutely fricking everything into Fisher Price politics?
>Why do absolute morons turn absolutely fricking everything into Fisher Price politics?
Look in a mirror you dumb Black person, you just did it in this Cinemaphile post. go hang.
Sounds like he just commented on the general tone of this thread without specifying right/left leaning politics specifically. I think you're a poor reader.
>I'm left wing and I'm not seeing the right wingerness here at all.
The show references Christianity several times, but more specifically it references having FAITH in Christianity. It displays the strength of familial bonds and a strong father figure. There are no female characters that subvert the authority or prerogative of the male protagonist. Brotherhood is a theme that is prevelant throughout the whole series. More importantly, brotherhood WITHOUT the implication or notion that "maybe these dudes are gay????" Finally, it represents the idea of the soldier as a hero and a patriot, rather than a dog or chess piece on a game board. All of these elements are inherently right wing, despite what you think about the context of what "right wing" is. These are concepts that are most certainly NOT left wing, that's for sure.
China's about as left wing as it gets and having lived there I can tell you for certain the extreme "commies" that live there exhibit every virtue you talked about. These things are only right wing to braindead Ameiricans (which is a huge fricking oxymoron)

So basically what I'm telling you is that you just outright stated that you are in fact a Chinaman. The honesty was appreciated.
I don't know what Chink commies are like so I'll take your word for it. I'm speaking from experience as an American. Leftwing and rightwing work differently here.
Well you'd be shocked to find that commies in general are huge on family values, respecting your elders, working hard and sticking to traditions. That shit is fricking MASSIVE in China. They don't have the same creepy dog worship/fricking thing that Americans have but their human to human values are weirdly consistent.

>killing faceless mercs is fine >killing cops is... le bad???
Would've been better if he killed them all on that mountain, honestly. Or at least let the dumb b***h die.
>The cops are just doing a job. The mercs signed up for that shit.
They're both just doing a job, and they both signed up for that shit. In a series about a guy who is objectively a terrorist killing a bunch of people doing stuff that was all perfectly legal, it seems like quite a big cop-out. I'd prefer a little more moral ambiguity, they couldn't even have him execute that b***h at the end.
>I'd prefer a little more moral ambiguity
He blackmailed a desk jockey into being a suicide bomber.
His friends clearly have reservations about him using terror tactics on US soil.
And he straight up executes a bodyguard who couldn't fight back right before meeting the Sec Def and it isn't played as badass.
There's plenty of moral ambiguity. The show "sides" with Reece because he's the protagonist. If he died or got detained, the revenge plot couldn't continue. He isn't escaping the authorities because he's right, he's escaping because they wouldn't have a show otherwise.
>And he straight up executes a bodyguard who couldn't fight back right before meeting the Sec Def and it isn't played as badass.
This was even dumber than the mountain, because literally the only guy in the whole show who surrenders happens to be the one next to a door he can't get into without that guy's code.
And then he still can't kill the b***h on sight. There's some moral ambiguity, but it's almost all justifiable. It'd be nice if there were some civ casualties from the bombing, and he killed a cop or two. Instead, it's all "nah, we all know this guy is right and he hasn't been forced to kill anyone "good" yet so we're fine with his rampage".
Entire ending is different. He kills her in the book and she's a completely different character. None of this "I want to help operators" shit. Pure greed.

I thought they were going to pull the whole "she goes for the gun so he's forced to shoot her" thing, suicide was fricking moronic as shit. A guy with a gun on some chick watches her pick up a gun and doesn't fire first?
It's obvious she didn't want to "help operators" even in the show. I initially thought that her plan was crippling America's defense system with moronic reforms to facilitate an invasion by foreign powers who are paying her for it, that seems like a more sensible reason for her to be all "muh operators muh PTSD please fire everyone with any experience".

He's hesitating because he's now reaching with his list. The assassins and those who hired them were all already dead.
It's almost like Amazon thought, "Hurm, maybe we need some content that's not aimed at 30 year old dog-walkers who live with their parents" I'll have to check out the author behind it (Jack Carr).
I'm on ep3. Does his friend betray him? This seems more and more like friend betrayed me story. Cause you know his CIA fren got the fingerprints for the gun safe. That just seemed obvious.
There are four other books in the series so far, probably even more by the time season 2 gets produced because their those airport military thriller novels that are 100k words at most.
How does Reece survive the brain tumor in the books?
Also gave him pills that don't help. I mean, these are clues am I wrong?
You're right. NCIS pulled his prints two days before the murder. CIA gave him the pills to help with the tremors so he could complete his list and they did work.
CIA knew about the tumors and fed the bad intel to get them all killed in the tunnels. He had nothing to do with the cover-up afterwards to have Boozer, Reece, or his family killed. That was all Horn.
There are four other books in the series so far, probably even more by the time season 2 gets produced because their those airport military thriller novels that are 100k words at most.
Ok so can anyone explain what Hartley thought she was doing when she invited Katie and told her "her side" of the story? I mean besides the human shield part. Was she banking on the off chance that Katie would be moronic enough to miss that her moronic stories don't add up?
K, but what if Katie buys it/pretends to buy it, the article gets published but then Katie or someone else pieces things together and releases the full thing that incriminates her? How does the whole thing play out in the book?
Both were the same kind of milquetoast Tom Clancy garbage, only this one didn't have a sheboon taking down a fully grown man for being mean to a stripper.
They're both like 6/10, but this is a slightly higher 6/10.
Better cast - Kitsch was great but his character took a backseat and Liz just nope'd out from the story -, better plot and much better pacing. This one was pretty solid up until ep5 but then we got that moronic show only wilderness episode and from then on it's cop out after cop out and Reece starts magically teleporting all over the place.
He's full of it. Everything takes place in San Diego/Coronado, Baja California, San Francisco, then Sacramento area for the finale. Closest thing to "teleporting" might be him floating down to Riley's plane after the manhunt but it's all mapped out well.

ok so in ep 6 >Reece is shot and leaves his pills in the car >gets the whole search team dropped on top of his head, ambushes them with some flashbang IEDs, takes one of the dudes' pack >then he's suddenly a click away from them while he's being chased and tracked from the sky where they can see his heat signature >thermal trackers etc magically stop being a thing, so Reece climbs down, then gets another headache and falls from what seems to be at least 15-20 feet, crashes onto a rock, can barely walk at this point and drops most of his equipment >landslide goes off, he saves Mac, stares at the river, then cut and he's walking in on Liz at the airport, implication being he dragged himself to the river after he took a landslide to his face when he could barely even walk and while dozens of people looking for him are all over the place, and then floated down a couple of miles like a piece of driftwood and nobody gave a shit
then in ep 8 >Reece is shot, bleeding out, can barely stand, then just kinda walks into the water with all of his scuba gear - including a fricking draeger rebreather - in his hands >Ben's last scene at the island is him being on the top of a lighttower while FBI is closing in on him >they somehow got out >although less egregious, Reece somehow teleports onto Ben's boat in the middle of bumfrick nowhere somewhere near Peru

I DIDN'T DOUBLE CHECK THE FORMAT SO DON'T LOOK AT THIS TO AVOID SPOILERS
>ok so in ep 6 >suddenly a click away? You need to rewatch it. He's running his ass off, an armed target, they aren't just going to run up to him. This isn't an action movie where the hero cop is going to blindly run after the hero. There's procedure and protocol >magically stop being a thing? I'm trying really hard not to be mean because you did put in this amount of effort to be honest but he's throwing linked batteries together. They generate heat. This creates multiple signatures. Keep in mind he's still armed and dangerous they aren't just going to run up to him especially after his ambush. >He did use the river. Even if units in the area closed in on the river he wasn't going that far and would have been out. He's a Frogman, apparently a legend as depicted by the other Frogs in HRT, as the main character we're also supposed to believe in his drive since his families were murdered. The search team was just in a landslide and would be looking to recover and head count in the immediate, not focus on Reese.
Don't forget they're telling a story here, we don't need to watch every little thing. I mean, it's so unrealistic because it spans several weeks yet we only see Reese eat or drink a couple of times and we never, not once, see him use the bathroom.
ep 8
He's shot, not dead with scuba gear. They're fricking experts at infil/exfil yet you're confused how they can slip 1 boat? A short drop is going to stop a guy that beat BUDS? gtfo
Ben mentioned Peru, dummy. All Reese would need to do is look around some. How did he get on the boat? I guess Ben should have pulled up all the ladders.
They're skipping erroneous stuff to stay on pace. We don't need to see them swim away and evade a boat because we, the smart audience, know they possess the skillset to easily do so and it has already been established visually numerous times.

on the heat tracking thing >yes, he uses the batteries to try and mislead them, then the scenes on the cliff happen with Reece schizoing out and not taking the shot, Layun and co finding the bullet etc, and after that there is no more heat tracking, they're just kinda scratching their heads
ep 8 last scene >I know he mentioned Peru and that's how he tracked down Ben, that was perfectly explained and again I mentioned it's not really egregious, just the part on how he got on board but ok, let's handwave this one away
My issue was that up until the very end of ep5 it was tight and they really kept paying attention to detail and showing how Reece outoperators people, but then ep6 felt jarring for me.

>cliff, bullet, disappear
After that there was another storm or did you miss the waterfall coming off the lean-to? >tracking
The heat tracking only works if he is hiding. It also apparently wasn't tracking in 60fps HD. For something like this the background is various degrees in the sunlight so the heatmap, algo filtered, would adjust to pick up anomalies, otherwise you're chasing down 92 degree rocks that have been in the sun since 7pm when the shade changed. That's why batteries make sense.

The next rain/storm was after the chase and cliff sequence. They were 80 meters from him, Layun yells at him, team shoots at him, Reece doesn't take the shot, team reaches the cliff, Layun finds the bullet and then they're just standing on the cliff wondering where the frick Reece escaped to. Then they show Reece climbing/falling down. And after all that they cut off to another storm.

Anonymous
I'm not following. They weren't that far and they knew, with certain probability, he was down the cliff. I don't see your point. At those angles the tracking wouldn't work so good without several minutes realignment to get a better angle (on an area of assumption, there was no way to know even if their new angle would be good).
There's not much point to track him when they have eyes on. He was only on the peak for a few minutes and they moved in. It's confusing me how you are being confused.
Anonymous
Reece was dicking around on the peak where the trackers could see him, one would assume they saw his heat signature moving towards A or B or C direction before "disappearing" and starting his slow as frick descent. Reece somehow managed to climb and fall down then wobble away while eyes were on him and then managed to fast forward until the sun went down and it started raining.
Anonymous
He was on the peak. Stand up, pick an angle and look at a beverage. From the wrong angle you can't see shit. There were no eyes on him after he started climbing down. Overwatch has a very specific angle which they can utilize and then you have to wait until they come around again because they aren't up there sitting still. As a side: it was about to storm therefore the thick cloud cover worked to his advantage. Pretty sure Ben mentioned this on the day before. So, overwatch is battling bad angles from the height difference Reese just made and thick cloud cover. We can assume the storm began immediately after he fell, furthering his cover, because they can't move in on him, an armed target, in pitch dark and slippery mud and rocks, with hundred foot drops around you and 0 overwatch.
His disappearing act... They don't want to get jumped again. It was embarrassing enough the first time. Without eyes on they have to assume that he's still capable while also armed and dangerous. HRT aren't jihadi without a care of their own lives.

>from the wrong angle you can't... I meant from the other side. He goes down one side and overwatch is blind for minutes and that isn't even taking into account the cloud cover.

There was no cloud cover, there were zero clouds during the whole peak chase/climb down scene and it happened during peak hours. Still, that one was less annoying than his post landslide teleportation.

I guess storms just come out of nowhere. Like boat ladders. Nevermind overwatch not being able to track moving target in real time as demonstrated. They aren't using their Jason Bourne shit because it's fricking stateside. stfu, there isn't even any belief to suspend here you just want a problem.

No anon, my point is that that the whole ep6 was made up for the show and didn't happen in the book and it's pretty fricking jarring.

No, I didn't read the book and it all makes sense to me. I've explained it all reasonably, because I had to intfp kek, and you're still typing at me from inside your own butthole because you want to be there.

Already explained all this was pacing. They're telling a story not showing a nature documentary about seals. Why didn't they die from never shitting? Why didn't they show him coming out of the river and evading thin patrols, probably not even seeing any, before he reached the hangar? OH MY GOD MY BRAIN JUST BROKE!

Wasnt he the CIA source for the intel they used to try and ambush Al Mohammed or whatever the bad guys name was? He knew it would be an ambush and said he wanted them to "die in their boots rather than in a hospital bed."

He was a spook and had access to make fake accounts and transfer money and such. He made an unknown listed account in which it was part of the research to test experimental drugs from that pharma company, he knew they were already being tested so he wanted to just let them all die in a mission instead of in a hospital bed or whatever reasoning, he also wanted the money.

Ben is a former SEAL turned CIA, best buds with Reece who also knew about Reece's hunt for the chemical Syrian dude, and also knew his source of Syrian intel. He was roped in by the admiral with a 20mil payout to provide and elevate fake intel to the source in order to bait Reece's squad into the trap so they can get killed off during the botched mission in the first episode. Brother sold out his brother and kept on coping by assisting Reece during his crusade.
8/10 show.
Pratt was good, Kitsch was good. I loved all the operator shit. I liked all the different settings: tunnels, Iraq, city streets, innawoods. I liked Cowboy Cerrone.
I didnt like the asian reporter. The worst scenes were the ones with her and the secdef. I also didnt care for all the flashbacks. They got tiresome.
Couldnt remember where I recognized the actor that played Steve until just now cause someone posted a clip form Reacher in a pol thread and I remembered he was the sniper that framed that soldier.
It's OK. Some good operator kino, but should have been kitsch as the main guy. Chris Pratt could maybe have pulled off the "friendly spook bestir who's kind of a mess" role, but he's so fricking bad at anything outside of the action, and my boy timmy riggins would have been much better.
The dialogue and acting is mostly pretty poor, so I guess Pratt wasn't alone in that, but I thought that most of the scenes that were supposed to be serous or emotional fell completely flat. Also, despite all the operator stuff getting more and more (entertainingly) over the top, I couldn't suspend my disbelief when he fell from that cliff, smashed hip first into a rock then just walked it off.
I think CP is more of an image of a dad type "commander" figure whereas Kitsch is more of an American Eagle model type figure, so being a spook fit him more. He's also younger than CP.
>OK Chris, your entire family has just been murdered, so we suggest you play it like you're doing a really tough crossword while trying to squeeze out 5 days worth of backed up turd
All the people involved in making the show must have missed that too, because they played it like he was supposed to be upset, he just has the dramatic range of a brick
>I couldn't suspend my disbelief when he fell from that cliff, smashed hip first into a rock then just walked it off.
Yeah it looked like his pelvis would have been shattered.

True. It would never happen. So unrealistic. Let's go back to the Star Wars thread.
>The dialogue and acting is mostly pretty poor, so I guess Pratt wasn't alone in that, but I thought that most of the scenes that were supposed to be serous or emotional fell completely flat.
Honestly, I don't know why morons always blame the actors for what is clearly a lack of execution on the part of the writers. If it didn't grip you emotionally, that's 99% the fault of the writers.
>Reese: I'm going to build a bomb and bomb the bad guy in plain daylight in a busy street full of people. >Token woman: No you can't just build a bomb, think about all the innocent civilians nearby! >Reese: I don't care, I'm doing it. > Token woman: ok, I'll help you.

> All these heat signatures on the infrared... He is trying to trick us! There are two completely static dots on the camera and one that moves the way a person would... Which one is he... He is outsmarting us!
>Hello Ben you are my brother... I need you to find me the exact amount of information to take me to the next scene... No I don't care how you do it... Just... Get it done.
As a bookgay who has read them all, the show actually undersells the "rightwing" stuff.
I hope they make season 2 because it's my favorite out of the series, for those that have seen the last bits of him on the boat you have a clue about where he goes. Rhodesia, and mostly by that name too.
Also a few things were changed from the book(s), Katie Buranek's backstory, she's of polak descent in the books and already had a link to Reece. I think it actually panned out well to have her not be connected to him that way and yeah they hit a diversity quota but honestly the Katie stuff is the schlockiest shit in the books.
The gutting was done to another character, the Florida location was scrapped from the series entirely. But he still forced a guy to walk with his guts attached to something.
Hartley was way more of a c**t in the book, toning her down a bit and giving her a motivation that could almost be misconstrued was a good change, Katie busting her on it elevated her character.
Ben's ending is very different in the book. He holds Katie hostage at Hartley's place, thinking Reece won't pull the trigger if he holds her at gunpoint and can score a kill on him. He's wrong. He was also way more involved with the conspiracy.
For anyone considering, the books are pretty short. Jack Carr knows his guns and gear and tactics, his writing about family and romance is saccharine to say the least, but he's trying to get a lot in without going on for pages. His plots never really twist, Reece meets someone, he likes them, they're the good guy, and vice versa.
It's kind of Reddit tier, like the Punisher. The Terminal List is better if you don't drink onions. It's just extremely predictable what Reddit likes and doesn't like.

>conspiracy theory turns out to be true and he's not a schizo
No wonder libtards are shitting on this show, they probably think he's Drumpf supporter or something, dumb frick liberals KEK
We know the conspiracies are real
Shame the schizo stuff got dropped after only 2 episodes. Adding an unreliable narrator gimmick made the cliche conspiracy formula feel fresh.
You guys got more series like this to recommend? Anyone saw the 3 Days of Condor show, is it worthwhile? Shooter TV adaptation looks pretty lame. Finished Jack Ryan and Reacher and I have Old Man and Strike Back on the backlog.
I actually agree with you a little bit on this and I still loved this show.
Bomber.

then
"Wait! Please, u no have to get this!"
Frickin great.
Not if you're going to be a babby about it, no.
They're moronic if they think these people are watching CNN in their bar. Note that the Constance Wu, the reporter, is watching CNN. They're just being accurate. This show is fricking kino as frick.
>Not if you're going to be a babby about it, no.
Nowhere in the fricking world but some vague twitter thread with <400 likes is somebody butthurt about The Terminal List. Stop politicizing a fricking tv show, and a good one at that.
Amazing scene. Great series. Some of the best pacing I've seen in an action/spy/thriller show in ages.
Brainrot: The Posts
He's got all this shit to do but his head is fricked.
>oh we should cut all that out so we don't ever think about what the character is dealing with
You aren't very good at this.
>He's got all this shit to do but his head is fricked.
Nah, it's just you.
Reminds me of what Frank did to the Slav human trafficker in Punisher Max.
I was thinking the same thing, possibly an homage
Its a The Punisher-tier story but the ones from old comics not the pozzed tv-show.
Ugh yeah it’s called the terminal list because he has a terminal disease and has to kill everyone who wronged him before he dies. Revenge and vigilantism is the whole plot since the very first episode.
The reviews on rotten tomatoes are pathetic, homosexuals got triggered by the overt right wing themes and christian imagery and ideas and shat on the show
For the most part they didn't even have the balls to say why they didn't like it, they just came up with some shitty generic critique
Liberals are such low t beta homosexuals it's unreal
>No you can't kill corrupt military officials and billionaires that use their money and power to murder people and little kids that's le heckin...WRONG!!

Wrong chud the series promotes patriotism and patriotism is bad therefore the show is bad
What was your favorite kill off the list? Mine is a tie between the CEO frogman LARPer and the guy he blackmailed into being a suicide bomber.
Definitely the CEO getting domed, wasn't expecting him to go so quick, great show
Same. The CEO wanna be getting headshotted and also the toolbag taking selfies who got sniped in his Porsche.
The Dan Bilzerian stand-in.
>CEO frogman LARPer
after learning he wasn't a proper SEAL and got all their tattoos as "dedications" to them like every other stolen valour frickheads i couldn't wait for him to get clapped
Black person in the sea with the log to drown
that was pretty based and satisfying kill, but it would have been better if they made the character an even bigger butthole like Pillar.
>CEO frogman LARPER
Kek you know that hit close to home for some of those c**ts on /k/. I liked the suicide vest kill myself.
I liked the intestine pull myself
As a centrist Democrat I think any of the reviewers and all the chuds here are way OVERTHINKING this. It's a fun revenge and conspiracy show, with pretty cool special ops shit.

Geee anon I wonder why people aren't treating Jan 6. like a big deal after the "Summer of Love" of 2020-2021.
No "election" means freedom isn't real.
Watching the forst ep.
First shootout scene seems kinda shit.
Everything's just dark with lots of cuts. Don't really know who's who. Can't really see anything.
Idk, does it get better?
>Everything's just dark with lots of cuts. Don't really know who's who. Can't really see anything.
I mean it was dark, but that was the point and it created a sense of confusion in the viewer.
Yeah ur right. Finishing the ep and the schizo stuff is way more entertaining
what's this from?

It is supposed to be confusing.

I’m good, I’ll just rewatch action movies from the 80s back when I was able to believe any such person would have any compunctions at all about killing his own people and wouldn’t just get a hard on from it before trying to guilt trip you into giving him money about it

tried to watch the first episode but turned it off when they went on about muh assad gas attacks. just more NATO bullshit propagando
That’s disappointing to hear I was kind of interested in this.
Which then it's revealed that it's not and that corporations and companies in the US are working with the US government to frick over their own people
That is literally just one propoganda piece. You should have expected that from a US centered film. That is like watching a Tom Clancy film and getting mad because they talk shit about Russians.
>muh assad gas attacks
Are you pretending those didn't happen?
Yes he is
Yeah, but Assad didnt do it. jihadis gassed their civilians and their own jihadis
I'm sure there is credible evidence for this right?
Impacts from mortars were geolocated to come from FSA/Jihadi sides. There is bunch of info out on it. USA denied this ofc saying the FSA doesnt to this etc. But its very believeable that jihadis did this right/when UN were some shit close to them
They literally didn't moron. It was as real as WMDs in Iraq. Fricking moron.

No wonder critics are kvetching so hard
The Guardian gave it a 1/5
These motherfrickers are not reviewers, they are propagandists
Wow. The seethe on these "professional" critics is hilarious.
why are they shitting on it so hard?
Reddit hated on this show before it even came out.

wtf is that. are you watching on tablet or some shit? why not get tv
I'm watching it on half my 4k monitor, because it's 1080p junk.

You people were saying the same shit about Reacher but it was pretty mediocre
Anyone in here making the webms of this? I have a suggestion:
Make on of Chris yelling over his family's bodies. No other cuts, just him yelling where he rocks back. It would probably work better as a gif so either gif or webm.
Why is this amazon shit being shilled so hard on here?
thats nice that your handlers at the moron asylum allow you internet access
Pajeet I really hope you're getting paid for this shilling because doing it for free would be pathetic
I think you're a poor reader.
i don't get it either, it's obnoxious and the show is pretty good
>I'm left wing and I'm not seeing the right wingerness here at all.
>They don't have the same creepy dog worship/fricking thing that Americans have
>but their human to human values are weirdly consistent.
Have you not seen the hundreds of video of those things running people over; three cars hitting the same pedestrian and continuing on their journey?
And considering their population is fricking gigantic compared to the paltry US population the fact that there's still comparitively less of that shit compared to "knockout games" or just the whole mass/school shooting videos we see from the US everyday, well it's a miracle.
>knockout games
Yes, Black folk are a plague on everyone, I agree with you there
>mass/school shootings videos everyday
No. The proverbial needle in the haystack outside of Black person areas. That’s why the media shoves your face in it when they actually get ahold of one.
Yet the number of insect behaviour videos we see from China with it's 1.2 billion population and intensive surveilance is absolutely dwarved by the shootings we see and hear about from the yanks on the fricking daily.
Weird that.
Yeah, because in China the shootings are committed by the government, not civilians, and are covered up and denied like Tiananmen Square.
Yet we see all these horrendous accident videos that should be covered up, literal fricking footage of Tiananmen Square, basically everything leaking out of China all the time...but they can hide that? Hmmmmm. Honestly just sounds like cope my friend.
Road accidents don't make the CCP look bad. Internment camps, mass executions, and burn pits to get rid of covid-infected corpses do.
Everything possibly bad that the CCP does leaks out all the fricking time. And it's still not even a patch on the embarrassing shit coming out of the US every single fricking day.
Didn't the US literally lose a world war 2 battle to an empty island? kek

do asianbros really?
China is communist in name only. The government does not appear to actually have any ideological commitment. As far as one on the outside can look in, they appear focused on pragmatic governance. They at least understand America's ailments and seem to be working to prevent them there.
>visit a Muslim country (why I don’t know)
>come home to China
>disappear and go into Chinese secret prison forever
Yeah no thanks chinaman
That's literally what the Americans have been doing for two fricking decades only they include bombing those people's families into the bargain.
How the frick are people so dense these days?
Lol imagine getting this defensive from shilling the Chinese government.
I didn’t even mention USA
If I was shilling the Chinese government I'd be arguing that they don't do that shit and that Taiwan isn't a real country (which it is and makes the ccp seethe lmao)
But the only people who genuinely seethe about China and pull this shit are the Ameircans who are fricking worse by a country mile.
So basically what I'm telling you is that you just outright stated that you are in fact a Chinaman. The honesty was appreciated.
I really liked this. No bullshit. No filler. Just a dude killing the people who wronged him.
This is what I imagined The Punisher was going to be. I'm still butthurt The Punisher turned out so damn bad.
>use threema
no thanks. I will stay with signal
I assume this is CIA propaganda.
Sort of because one of his friends who helps him is a CIA agent and former seal.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/chris-pratts-the-terminal-list-is-a-deranged-right-wing-revenge-fantasy
People are seething over it. Along with Rotten Tomatoes. I don't know why people use that awful site. IMDB is better.
>NOOOOOOOO YOU CANT DO CONTENT THAT 95% OF STRAIGHT MALES ENJOY, YOU NEED TO PANDER ONLY TO US 5% OF SOIS AND LGBT gayGAROOS!
First time I've actually liked Chris Pratt in a role, probably because it's no nonsense and not the usual unfunny "humor" shit.
>killing faceless mercs is fine
>killing cops is... le bad???
Would've been better if he killed them all on that mountain, honestly. Or at least let the dumb b***h die.
He's not a complete psycho. The cops are just doing a job. The mercs signed up for that shit. They're fair game.
Also gave him pills that don't help. I mean, these are clues am I wrong?
his friend is the guy who fed the bad intel, but the fingerprints were from the biometrics database which the ncis guy had access to
His glowBlack person buddy was in on the initial plan, but didn't think his wife and kid would get wrapped up in it if it failed.
What can you even do from here? Should've ended with him blowing his own brains out, honestly.
Only rat role I've liked, honestly. He's not amazing, but it's at least a tolerable performance.
There are five books. If they don't do more seasons I'll just get the audios but I'd love more seasons.
How does Reece survive the brain tumor in the books?
He gets surgery in book 2 or 3, can't remember which. He also becomes a hitman for the government in exchange for a pardon.
Done. Favorite new show of the year so far. I have no idea where they go from here tho. Is there going to be a second season?
There are four other books in the series so far, probably even more by the time season 2 gets produced because their those airport military thriller novels that are 100k words at most.
I think they fricked up calling the show The Terminal List because at some point it will stop being applicable to the character.
The tumors were always treatable though.
It's the people on his list who have a death sentence.
I suppose that makes sense.
>crisp rat
>kino
LMAO
Ok so can anyone explain what Hartley thought she was doing when she invited Katie and told her "her side" of the story? I mean besides the human shield part. Was she banking on the off chance that Katie would be moronic enough to miss that her moronic stories don't add up?
If she bought it Hartley looks like a hero. If she didn't she'd kill Katie and the story.
K, but what if Katie buys it/pretends to buy it, the article gets published but then Katie or someone else pieces things together and releases the full thing that incriminates her? How does the whole thing play out in the book?
People will just ignore any story that comes out later, that's how the real world works. It'd just become a conspiracy theory.
So, is this a satisfying show? I'm right winged btw
It's... tolerable. About the same as Reacher, maybe slightly better because that had the totally out of place sheboon.
Reacher is the better show in every aspect.
This one was pretty solid up until ep5 but then we got that moronic show only wilderness episode and from then on it's cop out after cop out and Reece starts magically teleporting all over the place.
>show only wilderness episode
Who doesn't like Rambo?
>magically teleporting
Oh? Elaborate?
He's full of it. Everything takes place in San Diego/Coronado, Baja California, San Francisco, then Sacramento area for the finale. Closest thing to "teleporting" might be him floating down to Riley's plane after the manhunt but it's all mapped out well.
ok so in ep 6
>Reece is shot and leaves his pills in the car
>gets the whole search team dropped on top of his head, ambushes them with some flashbang IEDs, takes one of the dudes' pack
>then he's suddenly a click away from them while he's being chased and tracked from the sky where they can see his heat signature
>thermal trackers etc magically stop being a thing, so Reece climbs down, then gets another headache and falls from what seems to be at least 15-20 feet, crashes onto a rock, can barely walk at this point and drops most of his equipment
>landslide goes off, he saves Mac, stares at the river, then cut and he's walking in on Liz at the airport, implication being he dragged himself to the river after he took a landslide to his face when he could barely even walk and while dozens of people looking for him are all over the place, and then floated down a couple of miles like a piece of driftwood and nobody gave a shit
then in ep 8
>Reece is shot, bleeding out, can barely stand, then just kinda walks into the water with all of his scuba gear - including a fricking draeger rebreather - in his hands
>Ben's last scene at the island is him being on the top of a lighttower while FBI is closing in on him
>they somehow got out
>although less egregious, Reece somehow teleports onto Ben's boat in the middle of bumfrick nowhere somewhere near Peru
I DIDN'T DOUBLE CHECK THE FORMAT SO DON'T LOOK AT THIS TO AVOID SPOILERS
>ok so in ep 6
>suddenly a click away? You need to rewatch it. He's running his ass off, an armed target, they aren't just going to run up to him. This isn't an action movie where the hero cop is going to blindly run after the hero. There's procedure and protocol
>magically stop being a thing?
We don't need to see them swim away and evade a boat because we, the smart audience, know they possess the skillset to easily do so and it has already been established visually numerous times.
on the heat tracking thing
>yes, he uses the batteries to try and mislead them, then the scenes on the cliff happen with Reece schizoing out and not taking the shot, Layun and co finding the bullet etc, and after that there is no more heat tracking, they're just kinda scratching their heads
ep 8 last scene
>I know he mentioned Peru and that's how he tracked down Ben, that was perfectly explained and again I mentioned it's not really egregious, just the part on how he got on board but ok, let's handwave this one away
That's why batteries make sense.
>ep 8
Handwave? Brother... no.
Still, that one was less annoying than his post landslide teleportation.
>shot on a clear day
>doesn't understand scheduling and cost doesn't allow for holding crews for days until you get the fricking clouds you want
>won't listen to reason anyway
I guess storms just come out of nowhere. Like boat ladders. Nevermind overwatch not being able to track moving target in real time as demonstrated. They aren't using their Jason Bourne shit because it's fricking stateside. stfu, there isn't even any belief to suspend here you just want a problem.
>you just want a problem
No anon, my point is that that the whole ep6 was made up for the show and didn't happen in the book and it's pretty fricking jarring.
>jarring
No, I didn't read the book and it all makes sense to me. I've explained it all reasonably, because I had to intfp kek, and you're still typing at me from inside your own butthole because you want to be there.
>I've explained it all reasonably
>ep5, Reece and Riley meticulously plan stakeouts, map patrol routes, notice irregularities leading to major events, then McGyver up the whole thing with exit plans
>ep6, lmao imma slowly drag my finger across the map to show where I'll eventually teleport away
Already explained all this was pacing. They're telling a story not showing a nature documentary about seals. Why didn't they die from never shitting? Why didn't they show him coming out of the river and evading thin patrols, probably not even seeing any, before he reached the hangar? OH MY GOD MY BRAIN JUST BROKE!
>ep5
What?
Spare me, anon.
Reece went from buying methadone from a fricking stripper and hammering out an EFP to "imma fall down this cliff, teleport away because of magic river and then parajump back to my home address".
>who changes the Batmobile's tires?
Can you explain how Ben was involved or why? His participation seemed completely without reason.
Brother sold out his brother and kept on coping by assisting Reece during his crusade.
>this moron didn't like the best episode in the entire season
have a nice day
Reacher is trash and feels way cheaper
can someone recommend me basically this show but better
moronic officer gets his entire squad obliterated through his own inaction. He should have been court martialed immediately.
I was going to watch this but just like Top Gun 2 I'll avoid it because Cinemaphile pretends to like it
I'm going to watch both because they are making everyone seethe
is this American Sniper tier cringe?
Did they frick?
i'd roll her tide
if you understand the implication that i am conveying
what is this guy trying to put forth?
that he would penetrate her fort knox with his captain standish, i believe
Brother, I believe the implication is that he would infiltrate her so his kid would have a brother from another mother. Brother.
She was super cute
>This Summer
>Chris Pratt is....
>...family soldier man, once again!
They got tiresome.
>mfw see mr eko thread recommending it
>mock him
>gf wants me to watch it yesterday
>fiorst 3 episodes are absolute operator kino
I hate it when tripgays are right
is it kino?
it looks shit
SNEED.
Couldnt remember where I recognized the actor that played Steve until just now cause someone posted a clip form Reacher in a pol thread and I remembered he was the sniper that framed that soldier.
I liked it
While that is true, CPman looks constipated every time he tried to look serious.
Then again it probably only got made because of his name being attatched to it
>t. never heard of Fuqua
Bad bait, tourist.
>OK Chris, your entire family has just been murdered, so we suggest you play it like you're doing a really tough crossword while trying to squeeze out 5 days worth of backed up turd
Looks like an anonymous poster with Asperger maybe missed the part where he got anti-trauma brain drugs.
All the people involved in making the show must have missed that too, because they played it like he was supposed to be upset, he just has the dramatic range of a brick
Like I said, you're just an aspie.
>I couldn't suspend my disbelief when he fell from that cliff, smashed hip first into a rock then just walked it off.
Yeah it looked like his pelvis would have been shattered.
True. It would never happen. So unrealistic. Let's go back to the Star Wars thread.
>Noooooooooooooooooooo you can't just have a different opinion to me
Correct. moronic opinions are moronic. Stop being a moron.
Chris Pratt did fine, wtf are you talking about?
>The dialogue and acting is mostly pretty poor, so I guess Pratt wasn't alone in that, but I thought that most of the scenes that were supposed to be serous or emotional fell completely flat.
Honestly, I don't know why morons always blame the actors for what is clearly a lack of execution on the part of the writers. If it didn't grip you emotionally, that's 99% the fault of the writers.
he is not very good at playing the strong, silent type.
Chris Pratt is one of the nicest actors I've met
Why do the guns look so fake? When they shoot there's 0 recoil and the gun just goes pew pew
I liked it but I wished there was more operator kino.
>war hard man should cry like he stepped on a lego
>WALK
wtf I love sausage links now
>Reese: I'm going to build a bomb and bomb the bad guy in plain daylight in a busy street full of people.
>Token woman: No you can't just build a bomb, think about all the innocent civilians nearby!
>Reese: I don't care, I'm doing it.
> Token woman: ok, I'll help you.
who writes this crap?
>What is trust?
I'm learning a lot about you today, Anon.
Also, shaped charge projectile is not "a bomb."
They call us... the frog men. Downrange... its just you and the teams, brother. N.E.E.T. teams. The brother on your left and your brother on your right. We are on the battlefield, brother. Downrange.
KINO
episode 6 is one of the shittiests pieces of tv I've ever seen
This thread reeks of /misc/, you are all cancer
Kys tourist
>American flag on my hat!
Just watched the first episode and it's confirmed KINO. Of course the critics aka dilators trashed it while the audience rate it highly.
it's pretty damn good so far, feels a lot like shooter. they even got fuqua to direct at least one episode.
is reacher soi-tier?
It's kind of Reddit tier, like the Punisher. The Terminal List is better if you don't drink onions. It's just extremely predictable what Reddit likes and doesn't like.
Zoomies favorite new buzzword is gaslighting for shit theybread online that they don't like. This show is what real gaslighting is.
Is it operating-kino?
It's a rightwing anti-establishment revenge power fantasy for rednecks and uneducated scum
Sounds based I'll watch
Yeah, glowies die.
Perfection. I watched Mosul yesterday, it was great, shitting on the US, Isis and Iran outright.
Mosul is based
So emotional..
At least israelites and troons are admitting that they are the establishment now and all of their cries for victim points no longer matter.
It's pro-war israel propaganda.
