Only thing I remember is seeing ads for it back then, thinking it looked really stupid. Then I actually watched it when it premiered to give it a fair chance, and ended up loving it.
I remember being sick of cartoons at the time despite still being very much into them because CN and others had already gone to shit around then. It took me a good while to grow into Adventure Time, Regular Show and Gumball out of nu-CN's big hitters.
I remember that one promo kept playing repeatedly with the stiched together video clips and alligators on a train, but probably watching regular show or adventure time. Maybe the clone wars. I don't think flicksmas was going on around that time but that was more memorable.
An odd part is I remember the 07-10 period better than that, what with mad, thumb wars, johnny test, level up, and shows like that during the networks transition. The 11-13's seem sort of empty.
I do remember the promos though and making weird assumptions about the characters for instance in initially though Richard was a girl for some reason (I mean the only clip I had to go off of was a second or two of him crying over dropping food or some shit) also it was one of the first shows I saw the ads for and immediately thought it was gonna suck (I think the only other shows I thought that with around that time or before hand were victorious and planet sheen
I was 12 years old and already in my "I'm a big grown up that doesn't watch cartoons just anime. Because it got blood and boobies" phase. So I kinda missed a whole generation of cartoons and never watched a single episode of gumball. But Steven Universe brought me back to western animation thankfully. I fapped to alot of Gumball porn tho

Their house is a lot cleaner than the real one
I vividly remember this day. I was away from home on a holiday, I was around 7 at the time. I’d seen the ads for this show, but for some reason I found it really weird and thought to myself that I would never watch it.
My aunt had cable, and I was trying to access one of the other channels to watch some old sonic show I liked, but she didn’t have access to that channel, I think she only had access to CN.
Anyways, that fateful evening, I was forced to watch CN, and that very same night Gumball was premiering. I remember they showed a few episodes that night, if I recall it was the one about the forest, Carrie possessing Gumball and ‘the spoon’.
I ended up watching it on and off afterwards before finally binging it from start to finish last year.
jerk off
Failing at college. Being honest, i didn't put too much effort and in the end I graduated to another one.
Gumball doesn't feel like a 2011 show to me, the first time I remember seeing it online or on TV is 2013 at the earliest
Maybe it's because it was made in Europe, it kind of had a distinct feel compared to AT and RS

Oh yeah the ads made the show look awful
I remember one of the early promos included an image of Darwin with a green hat, kinda weird that they gave him that only for that one advert
I remember seeing the first two episodes in Mexico, and then waiting like a year for the show to air proper

Watching rick and morty
Well i was probably in bed asleep when the first episode aired ,since I was at the time a first grader

At home. Watching Nickelodeon.

lmao holy shit, no wonder they wanted it blurred out
watching it, in the bedroom with my brother.
Before I got to watch it I thought these 5 were a group of friends, not a family
I was like 6 and not allowed to watch TV on my own yet.
I was there. AdventureTime had fortunately gotten me back to watching CN as a teen and I loved the shit out of Gumball S1.
Probably doing the same thing I had been doing the previous 9 years and the 12 years that followed. Not watching Cartoon Network.
So where the hell is that movie or new season? Is that still happening?
Why did Looney Tunes Show fail while Gumball became a huge hit? Both shows premirered the same day.
Gumball costs practically nothing to make.
because Gumball was actually funny
I watched the premiere with my siblings
