With the decline of supplementary revenue streams like DVDs, movies need to make the bulk of their profit upfront. Thus, Hollywood aims for the "widest possible release." It's easier to get a PG-13 rating if there's no nudity, and it's easier to sell to more conservative foreign markets.
Beyond that, there's been a cultural shift against sex generally in American media. Just look at how those loons on Film Twitter will debate "Did this classic movie REALLY need a sex scene?" every few months.
Although that's arguably downstream from the growing social trend toward singledom and celibacy. Like how pop songs used to be 90% about love and romance, but they aren't anymore, because the target audience for those songs doesn't view those as universal experiences anymore.
