Here's what the children of Cinemaphile just don't understand. There are some actors that just pop up in your life, not just in movies, but things like interviews, guest appearances, etc. Mark Hamill would pop up in things like Just Shoot Me, Saturday Night Live, or Big Bang Theory and poke fun at Luke, or he's show up in character on The Muppet Show. Once they're gone, they're gone. I've grown to love actors like Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, etc, but they were dead before I was born, everything I see is archival material. Shatner's always been a laugh on talk shows, etc. There's just those people you grew up around, and when they're gone, they're gone.
