It was part of Disney's aggressive marketing campaign for the parks. It went along with the whole Super Bowl "I'm going to Disney World" campaign, which Disney completely designed and paid for.
Saying it after the Super Bowl started organically, the first one was being said ironically/jokingly. I think it was Joe Montana after they won in 83 but my memory sucks. Then yea Disney jumped on it and made it a sponsored thing when they saw how much normies loved the joke.
It actually wasn't organic. Disney approached both teams and both quarterbacks and offered the same deal to both of them to say it if they won.
>Following Super Bowl XXI on January 25, 1987, a Disney commercial starred New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, in which he was asked "Now that you've won the Super Bowl, Phil Simms, what are you going to do?" Simms, who replied "I'm going to Disney World", was paid $75,000; John Elway was paid the same amount, in case the Denver Broncos won.
People will say stuff about them buying ABC but they were doing it with all the networks for 10 years before that. It was really a push to get middle class people to take trips to Disney. It started in the 80's during the "dark ages" when they were desperate for money. I believe the first show to do it was "The Cosby Show", an NBC show.
Disney paid them for advertising. The shows liked it because it was a chance to show the characters outside of their normal generic house/school setpieces.
I remember going to Disney world as a kid and being immensely disappointed. For some reason the fantasy of going to Disney world was much better than actually going to Disney world.
Hard to say. I do know that all of the booths in Epcot are run by native people from their respective countries, who are there as official ambassadors from their country. So I'd imagine it's pretty authentic.
Boy Meets World because Topanga looked cute.
Step by Step? Or Sabrina?
The only one I saw as a kid was the Family Matters one
Why did all the family sitcoms do this?

ABC was purchased by Disney in the 90s. After that there was an obligatory Disney vacation episode.
The Roseanne one was the best.
It was just ok. The only thing they did right was acknowledging Epcot and why you go there, which is to drink a shitload of beer.
John Goodman was better when he was fat.
Roseanne torturing the Disney wagies was pretty funny.
The Full House episode was filmed two years prior to the ABC acquisition.

Most were owned by or had connections to Disney...
Only Boy Meets World was the only ABC sitcom actually produced by Touchstone television.
What about Dinosaurs?
I'm sorry, I meant in the context of ABC sitcoms that had a "Go to Disney World" episode.
Did Home Improvement ever do one?
the simpsons
Didn't Sabrina have an episode pretty much advertising for one of the Disney parks before it actually opened?
They only featured Animal Kingdom in her episode. It was filmed prior to the park's actual opening, but aired the same week.
Any shows that show the underground child trafficking tunnels?
Surprisingly yes, episode 4 of "Take Your Meds" on the Schizo Channel covered it. You should know, it's been playing on repeat in your head.
Family Guy has a whole episode about it.

Amerimutts are so obsessed with Disney World it's truly a fascinating phenomenon
>would deny his seething obsession with Americans
ESL hoes mad that we have the best World Showcase pavilion
Spending a whole day just eating around the World Showcase is fantastic.
SPANAKOPITA!
We did exactly that when we ordered it, and when we walked past the booth later.
I wonder how it is compared to the spanikpoita I get at local Greek places and ones my Greek family makes. I love that stuff.

Efteling blows every park in the US out of the water but most Americans don't even know it exists.
Efteling is trash
I don't think it was an episode but the special with the Golden Girls was always my favorite.
as far as FH goes Hawaii trip > Disney trip
