I've heard some of that stuff about Viv, she might be the only one of the new characters from fairly odder that is actually good. They also took the sharing concept from season 10, and instead of having two (at least somewhat) likeable characters, you have a one that is likeable and one that is probably one of the worst in the series. Animated fairly odder probably would've been very good actually

Same for me, but would swap Hazel with Chloe.

All of them have their strengths and weaknesses. Though I have not seen a lot from Fairly Odder, I'd say Roy is worse than Vivian (I liked the teenager thing) who is at the very least likeable.
Hazel is too early to determine, but from the first episode she has a lot of potential IMO, despite not being miserable. Still, they get away with that because Cosmo & Wanda got self-assigned (because *they* need Hazel rather than the other way around) to her so the whole "miserable kid" thing isn't an issue.
Chloe is an interesting case; most people dislike her "because she's a mary sue and isn't miserable. But, I'm not most people and she *is* miserable, so I'll attempt to make things clear. She's a people pleaser perfectionist with a tendancy to not know her or others' limits to the point of her help causing more harm than good. Said help is also fueled by her desire to be "perfect" and meet the expectations of her parents and people around her.
Naturally, this type of behaviour doesn't land her many friends (or at least long-term ones) or any close relationships (her parents are neglectful and are focused on "the big picture"). Even her initial popularity doesn't cause a problem: she gifted them stuff and did good deeds, who wouldn't be nice to her? So she's a case where she has more internal than external (i.e. physical) problems that make her miserable, a direct contrast to Timmy.
Speaking of him, he's a classic, the average kid that no-one understands. He's lonely as his parents leave him at home with his babysitter to (at least initially) rekindle their relationship. Of course, the fact that the babysitter is Vicky is a deciding factor on his misery. He's an all-time favourite due to his relatability and also because, at least early on, he had the most complex character of all main ones. They actually managed to make him act exactly how I'd expect a 10-year-old with two omnipotent beings would which is something that you can easily mess up.
