H20 unfortunately.
Sequel timeline tbh. Halloween 1-4 are kino, 5 and 6 are so bad it's good
H20
Anthology timeline.
New trilogy had 2018 and Ends, which I liked. Never was a fan of the movies after 4 though.
I thought Halloween > Halloween 2018 was good but kills and ends were worse than resurrection so I’m back on team anthology

New Trilogy wins
Honestly, yeah. I didn't like Kills, but I liked Ends. I'd pick H20 if it weren't for Resurrection, though.
All of them are enjoyable besides resurrection and the awful new trilogy. Frick the new trilogy, it lost the charm and soul of the old ones.
What a fricking mess.
Rob
I like the two Rob Zombie films, and I'm a big Carpenter fan but imho his best horror film is Prince of Darkness.
Prince of Darkness rocks. I wouldn't call it his best movie, but, yeah, it probably is his best horror film in terms of actual horror. The thing is legitimately unnerving at times.
I think it gets under my skin more because i've never been on a frozen arctic base, but I have been in churches in run down urban areas. He also does that "isolated claustrophobia yet millions of people are around" thing well (viz. Assault on Precinct 13).

Where's my Halloween 3 sequel.
No sequels please, let´s not ruin it.
I'll take the Thorn timeline over others every single day. It's still inconsistent, it has its lows and the censorship sucks, but at least it's comfy.
Also, I want to choke on my own vomits each time I see that prostitute JLC. homosexuals loving the new pozzed trilogy must be insane.
Holy fricking based. Thorn trilogy is kino and free of that ugly b***h JLC
>Halloween has a split timeline
Wait, really? I thought (except fo the Rob Zombie ones) they were all connected? Is there something established in the split movies that they aren't linked to the others?
Halloween 1-6 (besides 3) are all connected.
H20 and resurrection ignore all the sequels besides 1 and 2.
3 is it's own thing (It has a TV ad for Halloween in it, meaning it takes place in another universe)
2018/kills/ends take place after 1 and ignore everything else.
But is there anything official in H20 and 2018 that points to the fact none of the other movies took place? I've only seen H20, and I don't see how 2 through 6 need to be negated, nor do I recall anything specific mentioning that the events of only the first movie happened.
NTA but this thing has been infuriating me for years.
No, there is nothing in H20 that would make 4-6 not canon. If anything, the revelation of Lorie Strode faking her death after H2 validates them.
Maybe the producers didn't want her to look like a c**t who abandoned her newborn daughter and that's why they pushed the reboot meme.
Around the time 2018 was announced and in development the rumor was that it took place after 1 and 2. I forgot who it was, maybe Blum who said that it took place after 1. One of the characters says that Michael and Laurie arent brother and sister, dismissing 2 from being canon.
H20 ignores all the sequels besides 2, her daughter those films focused on does not exist in that timeline. The 2018 trilogy ignores all the sequels, Michael isn't even her brother in those ones because that wasn't established until 2.
Is there a chart like this for Planet of the Apes?
H20. Ignore Resurrection.
They should be classified by studio, rather than timeline.
