Turning Red has 9/11 memes attached to it. Pinocchio? The only thing I know about this one is that Del Toro was it's director.
Pinocchio was made to be artistic which didn't get into the societal mold as much as the 9.11 meme did alone. The Pinocchio film was very good and I liked the Mussolini imagery with it.

No one remembers the left one, despite it winning awards. More people on average might even remember the other Pinocchio movie that came out that year than this one.

Pinocchio was never given a fair chance due to every thread being derailed by screaming autists. Anybody who enjoyed the movie would be like "frick this I'm out" before making a post. Outside of this board I remember it a hell of a lot more than Turning Red, which I'm sure infuriates OP. Good.
