2 is great, though a bit fanservicey here and there. 3 had trickier constraints and deserves credit for being as good as it was despite that, but I'm inclined to put it below 2 because Buzz's role is a disservice to the original importance of his character. 4 made it clear that there's NOTHING to do with him as a main character but dumb hyperbole aside it's not a bad movie by any means though clearly inferior.
Ironically, in an earlier rejected draft 3 Buzz got more interesting character stuff to do (he would get disillusioned and angry about Woody getting chosen by Andy to go to college and willfully decide to set off for the daycare because of that). That story point gets brushed off after literally two shots in the final movie because the brain trust thought he was "acting like a jerk".
>nostalgiahomosexuals
Unirinically writes that when 4 barely has its own original music compositions and decides to constantly and lazily reuse scores from 3 previous movies for the sake of nostalgia pandering instead.
4 was better though. Woody finds himself in a similar situation as in the original, the arrival of a new toy challenges his and Bonnie's relationship (just like Buzz did in the first movie). But instead of treating Forky as the enemy, like he did with Buzz, Woody tries to instill into the reluctant Forky the value he possesses in being Bonnie’s new favorite toy.
And, after reuniting with Bo, Woody learns that his biggest fear - being an independent, ownerless toy - isn't that bad, and its just what he might needs.
4 > 3
Sorry nostalgiahomosexuals

Honestly: 2. I like 3 but IMO, 2 is just better in many respects.
2. 3 was pretentious and overrated
anyone who uses the term "overrated" in any capacity should be shot
2. 3 is just cheap redundant emotional manipulation.
All mainstream filmmaking is essentially about emotional manipulation, so yeah I agree.
How is it redundant though? The theme is letting go and moving on, which makes 4 redundant in relation to 3, but not 3 in relation to either 1 or 2.
>sequels used to be good
what happened?

forky is a shit character
It wasn't. It was a fricking cash grab from the very fricking beginning when that fat bastard lasseter OK'd it in 2014.
I'm still anticipating when they're going to frick up Wall-e with an unnecessary sequel.
3 has it's moments but ultimately it marks the start of Pixar's downfall, better question is 1 vs 2 tbh
