None of them is really good, but probably Horton, altough The Lorax is visually nice and I didn't hate it at the time of it's release, although I didn't particularly like it either. Both seen in theaters btw.
Horton. Lorax blows because it converts the original book's plot into a 20 minute flashback and the rest of the movie we're stuck with random characters we don't give a shit about.
I do wonder what the "rough draft" of Lorax was like given all the demo music on the CD that's a lot darker in tone.
Not to mention they straight up try to make the Once-ler into a completely sympathetic villain. While he was very regretful in the original book, he WILLINGLY ignored the Lorax's warnings, and wasn't swayed or influenced by clearly evil family members. The whole point was that Seuss wanted the faceless corporation man to be considered as a human who might be able to see the folly of his ways instead of a complete monster or victim.
Horton was weird to me. I associate characters to their actors, but I couldnt mentally see how they were a good fit. It's like they were voiced by them just because
Horton was the okay but left the least of a legacy. Lorax sucked, but it lives on through disgusting Onceler porn, memes and cut content that was infinitely better than the final product. Neither one really has the same spirit of the books they were based on like the old animated specials did.
Pretty much this. Horton was better at maintaining Seuss' themes and overall vision while still adding enough creative touches to feel more cinematic, but Lorax is the one that left a greater impression.
It did at least look accurate to the book and cartoon version, though they did make him a bit too lanky. Original Grinch had thin limbs, but a stocky body, and yet it seems like they made this one almost kind of twinky
Easily Horton. The Lorax basically had a tumblr sexyman, and that's what most people remember it for.
I havent seen horton in forver i was thinking recently i should rewatch it

Horton, easily.
The original Grinch
The only correct answer.

Sadly it's a common problem with mainstream Amerifat animation, and I'm not sure that'll go away anytime soon...
Horton,
Lorax was freaky and soulless
>HMMMMMM?!!
>I will make monkeys of these monkeys. It is their destiny
>HUHHHH?!!
At least the Lorax has the ironic and meme-y factor, so...
Horton had way more heart, yes even in spite of that fricking anime scene everyone shits on it for. Remember when the Lorax advertised a car?
The anime scene was funny
The anime scene was shit
The anime scene was THE Shit

The Lorax is one of the most memorable films from Illumination for sure

Never saw it. How did it manage to screw up the plot even more than the Ron Howard movie as an example of what not to do with the Grinch?
does this homosexual look like he have termites in his smile? he look vile or act in the way he was visionated? nope
he live in a huge (nice looking) cave, got max as friend.
