    >daily reminder Foxcatcher was nominated for Director, Actor, Supporting Actor, and Screenplay but no Best Pic nom despite 5 director spots and 8 BP noms
    >instead Selma got nominated despite only getting 1 other nom for Best Song

I'm not saying Foxcatcher was great or not but its just such a weird outcome.

none of the Three Amigos have ever made a single good film, and neither have Takita Watiti, Darren Aaronovsky, Ari Aster or Robert Eggers.

I don’t entirely agree though I do think at least del Toro and Inarritu are vastly overrated.

It’s funny how Inarritu won his two directing Oscars by copying Cuaron’s one-take style. Hell he even used Lubezki as his DP.

Whiplash was unwatachable for me, mostly because I have a narscisscistic father I haven't spoken to in years and it unironically triggered me

Same. I had to stop watching at the first scene where JK Simmons starts screaming because it was almost exactly how my father moved and yelled at me. I never tell people why but it's a major part of why I despise that film

It's not. It's probably the most remembered one out of these. I've seen it on multiple best of the decade (best of 21st century) lists. I haven't seen the others.
