Do you honestly think it wasn't intentional from the start?
His movies do not at all give the impression of someone deliberately trying to make a bad film. I think the opening of Twisted Pair is actually a great example; he was very clearly trying to make a beautiful sequence, he just didn't have the skills, resources, or ingenuity to make it happen the way he envisioned it.
If i tried to make a movie it would be just as shit but i would know it's shit and know if people liked it because it's shit. He has to be some sort of moronic.
The spookiest part is, maybe THAT is the way he envisioned...
Breen is aware that his films look bad from a technical perspective, but genuinely believes they are important works of art that have a strong message that needs to be told. This is abundantly clear if you watch videos and interviews of him.
Plus, he released a five hour "how to" guide for independent film making. That's not something you do if you're in on the joke.
Keep in mind he's working with what he can manage. The scripts require big budgets really, but he struck gold regardless and found a following. If things changed drastically, people would tune out.
Do you honestly think it wasn't intentional from the start?
I don't think it's intentional. I'm sure he's aware of what people really think of his movies, but unlike Tommy Wisseau (who cashed in on "I made the worst movie ever) or that guy who made birdemic, he seems sincerely convinced people will eventually come around to seeing his movies as masterpieces.
Just got back from it, and it feels like one of his worst ones. Don't get me wrong, the start and ending are prime Breen, but the middle just drags in a way the rest of his filmography doesn't. Still a fun watch, but it's a far cry from the peak that we're Double Down and Fateful Findings.
For what, exactly? His entire political shtick is spewing venom at the rich and powerful from some sort of libertarian perspective. No organization or group anywhere has any interest in pushing that message. It's pure Breen.
>it's another neil breen thread
it's breeno
No more threads,
No more threads,
No more threads,
What is this?
Cade unironically looks like it might be his best one yet.
a comment on the trailer said he should do a point and click adventure game and i agree
The future
Neil Breen is dead.
Isn't that immoral?
NO!

I watched Twisted Pair last night. There's no way he's not doing it on purpose now, right? He has to know why people buy his films.

Wait, actually, I'm thinking of Pass Thru. The one with the desert opening sequence. Point stands, though.

I hope so.

You have to be mental to look at this
and think the creator looked at this and thought it was unironically good.

Yeah, he doesn't give off that vile heidecker aura at all. Seems sincere.

Cryptic reference to Popeye. Now ask yourself how does Popeye relate? Well he's the hero right, and very strong like Neil Breen.
Did anyone attend the Alamo screenings of Cade? Can we get a confirmation on if it’s Breenio?

Is he an op?

Organic, accidental psyop. Not manufactured. Sort of like accidental astroturfing.
Gotta love auteur cinema. When it's good it's great and when it's bad it's hilarious.
