I don't read bad comics so I can't answer your question.
Cool. You can still list your top 5 best current writers.
There are no good current writers.
Tom Taylor is the worst current writer and probably the worst writer of all time. Then pick 4 more at random and you have the current 5 worst.
I think the issue is that people don’t want to put in the work (minor as it is) of putting together a list.
This would imply anyone on Cinemaphile actually reads comics.
Worst (in descending order)
Tom Taylor
Tom King
Jason Aaron
Brian Michael Bendis
Kelly Sue Deconnick
Josie Campbell
Best (and particular order)
Pete Tomasi
Jeff Parker
Jeff Lemire
Rory Mcconville
I did 6 worst and 4 best cause I can’t think of a fifth best. I’m buying more than 4 but I wouldn’t say the writers are “the best” I just like the particular series.
Honorable mention for the worst
Mark russell
Tini Howard
Leah Williams
Tim Sheridan
Vita Ayala
Dennis culver
Ryan north
Ram V
Si Spurrier
John Hickman
Al Ewing
Scott Snyder
James Tynion
Cullen Bunn
Gail Simone
Pretty much everyone who has ever so much as thought of let alone lived in Portland really.
No particular order* for the best.
What’s the hot goss about Portland writers? I’ve heard it many times but never expanded upon. It is just because Portland is left-wing AF or is there a less boring reason why Portland writers are grouped together?
>Brian Michael Bendis
>current
Has he even written anything ever since he left DC?
What did happen to Bendis? I’m sure he has some entertainment industry job somewhere.
he still does comic books for dark horse, he just finished a sequel to his united states of murder inc and doing another book with one of his old flames that i don't care to remember the name but maybe its maleev.
>Jeff Parker
Does he even still work in comics?
He just did a Batman Santa Claus mini.
You don't read comics.

How?
>Who are your top 5 best and worst CURRENT comic writers?
I don't even know which good writers are still in the business. Most have quit.
I really like Joe Kelly and Adam Warren but I genuinely don't know if they do anything anymore.
I guess Garth Ennis just wrote some 007 comic and Ennis is mostly good so him for sure. Warren Ellis was canceled but you can un-cancel him and hire him if you want I'm sure.
Can't think of a fifth name.
As for worst, I can't answer because I don't like to dwell on things I hate enough to put them in order. To me, once you're below a certain minimum quality level you get rejected and that's that. I don't care how bad you are, you're just all equally shit to me.
Aren’t most of the writers people liked from the last twenty years doing non-comic work now?
Either that or they're no longer as good.
I will admit, I haven't been reading too much lately.
>best
Olivier Schrauwen (Haven't read Sunday yet)
Linnea Sterte
Garth Ennis
uh
Jackie Chan
>worst (I usually avoid bad writers, so this is also difficult)
Tom King
Tom Taylor
Alex Graham
Jed MacKay
Mark Russell
