In the grand scheme there's probably more Marvel movie fanart in general than comic fanart now, but who cares about that really?
DC's asian fanart community since the 2000's has been considerable and they actually know the comics, not just the adaptations, which is endearing
I've got Superbuddies fanart from a JP fan from the 2000's, you rarely get as deep a cut from Marvel fanart
Thanks to video games and the Spider-man toku Marvel has had a foothold in Japan for longer than DC.
...Plus I don't think Marvel had the "Slap a Jap" ww2 phase.
Pixiv is loaded with Marvel works. DC not so much.
There were a lot of JP artists with their own fansites for DC art back in the day.I think there's more Marvel fanart in general thanks to the movies and games, but a more dedicated DC fandom for comics.
This is a doujin series that does little gag strips based off specific DC comic issues, for example.
I agree with all the anons that say DC. Marvel art is mostly MCU art, but DC is comic art from multiple eras. I honestly think more people read DC comics in general though. It feels like Marvel has a lot of collectorgays and speculators who only exist to buy "milestone" issues they don't read, or people that follow one or two flavor of the month books. DC sales tend to be rather consistent and I feel like it's easier to find people that can actually hold a relevant conversation about DC comics.
DC but only because they have more animated media which tends to attract more fan artists and thus better art by sheer volume
That’s pretty lackluster work. Also a moronic group of characters.
JLI you stupid newbie
It's late 80s Justice League.
It's painfully obvious you're a zoomer.
Seething samegay is seething

it's kinda moronic to think that fan artists are gonna be limited to only draw characters from one and just one company
yeah, there's that westaboo who draws a bunch of different characters all tiny, super cute
depends on the decade
60-70s DC
80s-90s Marvel
2000s back to DC
Is Batman really "violet" though?
Blue was taken
You can flex it with color theory.
DC has more comic related fanart nowadays, but they are usually Batfamily or Superfamily related
DC fan artist draw the gayest shit imaginable. Marvel fan artist just draw Spider-Man and Spider-Man oc's. I think I got to give it to DC on this one.
Is that supposed to be maxwell lord?
Judging by the cigar, yeah.
I'm gonna say Marvel by virtue of the fact that I think Marvel has more Japanese fan artists than DC does
