The only people who buy those comics are the same people who watched the awful 2003 cartoon.
There's at least 1000x more people who watched the cartoon than those who buy floppies so yeah that's why those OGNs sell.

Also the kids who grew up on TTG reruns. So the demographic you just described is not only younger but also much larger than the old man gen x boomer demographic who still buy floppy DC shit from the main line.
If its the most popular version of the character, that makes it pretty stupid not to invest in it. Comics really, really needs to take its head out of its ass and grow up when it comes to 'muh run, I'm the writer I can do whatever I want! I deserve to LEAVE MY MARK on this character and their continuity!'. That bullshit leads to the character changing everything but their name every 6 months, their outfits and personality and cast of side characters all amorphously shlorping from whim to whim and ensuring that you can never keep a consistent audience beyond beyond with absolutely no taste or standards who will buy almost anything.
Find a version of the character that people enjoy and want more of, then stick with it. Give people what they want, and they will buy your comic. Its not complicated, you just need to tard-wrangle your staff a bit.
I was surprised to learn her book didn’t flop with the rest of DCYou and instead was on par with Red Hood and Batman Beyond. And those only flopped when they announced rebirth.

Interesting that those YA books have been continuing. I wonder why Primer's sequel hasn't come out yet since that also did well in sales.
The creator mentioned on twitter it's set for either February or July this year.
Teen Titans ones are consistent because the writer is a YA writer and the artist was some guy off deviantart and these were his big break. Primer was written by a couple of people in the TV business and the artist has been around for ages working. Primer is more like a side project for them.
I think they were originally only contracted to 6 books (with the last one probably being Teen Titans Together or something) but I’m curious if the later books also being successful will have DC wanting to expand on that
