Its actually just CGI slop that used recordings of documentaries about animals as reference. Even fricking Babe about talking pig had used actual real trained pig
Those were times where Disney was still gaslighting people that they are creative and before they went full woke with politics and against conservative families. There is NOTHING to save this movie. Right winger hate Disney, Left wingers hate the CGI live action slop. The ones who will shill for it are already paid by Disney so they won't actually pay for tickets.
A significant percentage of people go to moves to kill two hours, they do not even remotely care about the quality of the movie. They switch off mentally, gurn like chimps at the SFX, and then go home.
>arguing that animation is actually live action
If I could magically kill people after reading their posts online, there would be plenty of dead morons overnight.
>"It looks realistic so that means it's live action."
That is the highest level of rational thinking that these people are able to operate on. I wish I was making it up but now you understand why Disney fans are so moronic. Look through the comments section and it's full of big brain takes using some version of that line.
[...]
I don’t get it, what could their argument possibly be?
>youtube comments section is full of pixie dusters arguing that animation is actually live action
When you realize that the Photorealistic Beaver King is the highest grossing animated film of all time, its easy to understand why people want to pretend it doesn't actually count because of that photorealism and being a part of Disney's remake pipeline.
shitskin trying it's best, do understand
I will do everything possible to destroy the west and consume all of it's media because I live in a dystopian shithole that only exists to obsess about the west and not in anyway shape or form make my own country better
It just doesn't make sense. The Lion King 2 happened, just slop that up. There's nothing about Mufasa's past that could be remotely interesting or relevant to anything.
Sequels to Lion King were pretty mediocre. I think Simbas Pride flopped back in the days. The tv series about Pumba or "Lion Guard" cartoon are almost unknown to the wide public.
But either of them would gather more hype due to being animated in classic DIsney style. I have no idea what kind of moron would be hyped about watching this soulles garbage. I dont think even families of the producers would ever think about goint to see it.
Zoomers watched Lion Guard and you probably dont know it exist. You can't expect people to also know Timon and Pumpa existed in anything other than the main movie
>I have no idea what kind of moron would be hyped about watching this soulles garbage.
Women, children, mentally disabled and the elderly to a lesser extent. Basically all the people with no taste, undeveloped minds or those who need babysitting. It's perfect for them.
A lot of people grew up with Disney and so they are forever doomed to always check in on what they're making no matter how stupid or moronic it may get. I'm sure you've seen the pure distilled cope coming out of the Star Wars threads. Growing up with something really is that potent.
Nobody asked for Lion King 2 Simbas Pride, but now its even worse, because at least you could admire the 2D drawings of Lion King 2, while now you only have ugly slop with Lion King references
that's cool, but then scar let in the hyenas and forced the girl lions into the interracial breeding grounds, so instead of ruling over a conquered kingdom he just burned it all to the ground like a b***h
Scar ostracised himself. Mufasa on multiple occasions tried to convince Scar to rule alongside him and Scar refused. He turned into a bitter loner blaming the world for all of his problems and rejected everyone who reached out to him. He named himself Scar because he was a fricking edgelord loser who never grew out of his chuuni phase.
Of course loser neets would see a kindred spirit in the poster child for a failed male. You're no different than the leftist queers trying to argue the bugs in Starship Troopers "dindu nuffin".
Scar's name "Taka" came from a children's book tie-in from the 90s called "A Tale of Two Brothers" that Lion King autists have clutched onto for decades even though they threw out the Simba son from the framing device for Kiara when they made Lion King 2 and then completely redid Scar's backstory for The Lion Guard on Disney Junior.
Cameron is smart enough to know that if he pumped avatar movies out, people would rapidly get sick of them.
Their major selling point is spectacle, and letting years pass with absolute shit filling the gap is his secret to success
The Caesar trilogy takes place right at the fall of humanity. The original Planet of the Apes takes place thousands of years after that. I think this new movie is technically James Franco’s Apes 4 so it’s only been a couple decades since the world ended, the humanoid apes come way later.
there's just no fricking reason for them to tease the spaceship being lost in space in the first movie just so they can twiddle their thumbs for 3 more
I wanted the thing to come full circle by movie 3 and I am nothing but disappointed
I don’t get what you mean, what did you want to happen? A CG render of Charlton Heston mocapped by Andy Serkis to show up and box with Koba? Like it came pretty full circle after the end of NuApes 3.
idk how this became a planet of the apes thread but the Burton one was kino

It was fine. I really dislike Marky Mark, so... great makeup and effects, though. Monke HBC can get it.
I disliked the ending. It was Burton trying to be as memorable as the original movie but it fell flat. It was kinda goofy. He should have adapted the book ending, at least it would have been different.
Really, I’ve avoided trailers because I’m cautiously hype. I thought it was about Caesar’s children but blowing ahead a few centuries sounds kino. I saw human characters. How is that even possible.
could be rad.
i didn't ask for it because i hadn't thought about it.
but now it feels like i should've been asking for this all along.
anyway mufasa is da man. or da lion in this case. it's probably gonna be epic
Oh wow, cool. I look forward to our local dog-fricker spending another year of his life over analyzing another Lion King movie that ends up being 18 hours long.
Did Disney forget what their titular legacy was known for? It wasn't storytelling, cause all the damn stories are just straight adaptations of classic literature.
IT WAS ANIMATION, THE ANIMATION WAS THE POINT, THE DISNEY EYES, THE BODY LANGUAGE, THE VOICE ACTING, what the frick man. I didn't even grow up on Disneyshit and I'm offended. Straight up volunteer morons milking this company.
kek they don't give a frick. their "legacy" is having a bunch of intellectual properties they can keep trotting out for reliable cash. it's all about money, nobody would have signed off on the stark downgrade in style and sovl of the remake otherwise
>Disney
OK, random idea: Why don't they rename the company?
This company or media empire or whatever is so grossly developed and removed since the years following Y2K, it's hard to recognize the current entity as anything that resembles the ingrained ideas or beliefs associated with "old Disney." This "new Disney" or whatever in the blue frick you want to call it really should consider recognizing these formative changes and release itself from the hold of the past with a company-wide rebranding.
So this is basically the equivalent?
Is there anyone excited to learn a backstory of fricking Mufasa? And on top of that in a soulless realistic CGI where you follow the plot as if you were watching Animal Planet???
OH BOY CANT WAIT TO CLAP WHEN I SEE SCAR GETTING HIS SCAR!!
All said and done there was nothing wrong with the CG lion king remake (in a vaccum). It wasn’t pozzed, it told a story that’s been established to be decent, if the other LK didn’t exist and I wasn’t looking at this movie through the lens of “holy soulless CG remakes gas israelites” I’d probably think it was good.
No one, just more corporate slop because theyre out of ideas
Frick it, at least it’s not a 1:1 CG remake of Lion Ling 1 1/2 and is an original idea. Not that I’ll be watching it, but.
it prints money
Normalgays and Foreigners.
See
First movie made two billion because of them.
>Live Action
Fricking gross
>live action
>no live lion was ever filmed
Worse: hyper realistic CGI that looks souless, sterile and dead
Its actually just CGI slop that used recordings of documentaries about animals as reference. Even fricking Babe about talking pig had used actual real trained pig
Live action with this and the 1st one is the biggest fricking lie.
The people who made the first one a billion breaker.
the audience of the first film
Those were times where Disney was still gaslighting people that they are creative and before they went full woke with politics and against conservative families. There is NOTHING to save this movie. The time of instant returns for slapping a known IP onto some nepotism/diversity hire's script has gone.
WHO are these people? Who?
A significant percentage of people go to moves to kill two hours, they do not even remotely care about the quality of the movie. They switch off mentally, gurn like chimps at the SFX, and then go home.
Browns.
You guys this was like a decade ago. Disney hasn’t made money on a movie since Endgame.
It came out in 2019.
Pretty sure people have gotten wise to these live action remakes and/or villain origin stories to make them sympathetic since then
I’m convinced Covid was a biblical reckoning to punish us for rewarding Disney for slop like this.
Disney made use nearly every voice actor in their talking animal movie set in Africa was black.
They couldn't even be bothered to get a pale white girl to play Snow White.
Not all of them. There were 2 israelites iirc
>youtube comments section is full of pixie dusters arguing that animation is actually live action
Its live action style of animation but not actual live action
There's no argument, it's a CGI animation. No live footage was shot for it.
>arguing that animation is actually live action
If I could magically kill people after reading their posts online, there would be plenty of dead morons overnight.
I don’t get it, what could their argument possibly be?

Pixie Dusters mald whenever they see Lion King Remake on lists of animated movies.
all these movie sucks
why ar normalgays so moronic
its ukraine now, and ukraine after joining nato
shitskin trying it's best, do understand
I will do everything possible to destroy the west and consume all of it's media because I live in a dystopian shithole that only exists to obsess about the west and not in anyway shape or form make my own country better
God posts like these I wish we never gave the third world access to the www. But also based
It just doesn't make sense. The Lion King 2 happened, just slop that up. There's nothing about Mufasa's past that could be remotely interesting or relevant to anything.

Boy I grew up with the timon and pumba tv show so you better watch your mouth around these parts
Zoomers watched Lion Guard and you probably dont know it exist. You can't expect people to also know Timon and Pumpa existed in anything other than the main movie

at least everyone knew what those direct to VHS "sequels" were; just quick cashgrabs. even the kids didn't really wanna see them.
Hey, man. That Aladdin one with his dad was kino.
i watched aladdin tv show religiously and timon n pumba
I bet you had a TV in your room, too. lucky.
yeah but it was that tiny vhs combo
I liked Lion King 2
Lion King 2 is wayyyy better than it has any right to be. Lion King 1&1/2 was pretty fun too, granted I haven't watched that since I was young.
The second movie has a better soundtrack than the first film
No Nala no buy
das rite cracka
Me. I'm the one who asked for it.
I did. Only movie I'm watching in theatre this year.
that's cool, but then scar let in the hyenas and forced the girl lions into the interracial breeding grounds, so instead of ruling over a conquered kingdom he just burned it all to the ground like a b***h
Those who are not embraced by their village will burn it to the ground to feel it's warmth.

wtf...where did all that scar backstory come from? from the original cartoon he was just the uncle of simba.
All that is from the cartoon but the CG movie added a bit of dialogue about Scar’s real name or something.
>Another shitty Disney film about realistic CGI animals that can't display any emotion
Just makes me long for more apekino
Why do they keep pumping out this garbage while THERE ARE ONLY TWO AVATAR MOVIES?????
Cameron is smart enough to know that if he pumped avatar movies out, people would rapidly get sick of them.
Their major selling point is spectacle, and letting years pass with absolute shit filling the gap is his secret to success
is this still the original caesar with james franco? when are they going to become humanoid talking apes?
The Caesar trilogy takes place right at the fall of humanity. The original Planet of the Apes takes place thousands of years after that. I think this new movie is technically James Franco’s Apes 4 so it’s only been a couple decades since the world ended, the humanoid apes come way later.

NuNuApes, acktualy.

The new movie is 300 years later so it's much closer to the originals
Really, I’ve avoided trailers because I’m cautiously hype. I thought it was about Caesar’s children but blowing ahead a few centuries sounds kino. I saw human characters. How is that even possible.

Black Rock.
Oh wow, cool. I look forward to our local dog-fricker spending another year of his life over analyzing another Lion King movie that ends up being 18 hours long.
How much till he releases the second part? I hope the autism is strong enough to push him over the edge with this Mufasa movie.
Does it explain the monkey puzzle?
Did Disney forget what their titular legacy was known for? It wasn't storytelling, cause all the damn stories are just straight adaptations of classic literature.

>More 50% dislikes on the trailer
Why? I refuse to watch.
You can't see dislikes on youtube though
You can.
Those aren't even real
Then the likes aren't real either. Probably done by bots. Just like the comments.
You'd think Disney could afford a better bot farm.
I hope it will explore anal penetration of Mufasa.
>mufasa isnt royal
Are they retconning The Lion Guard?
the remake is the best selling animated movie of all time
the world asked for this
>Disney
OK, random idea: Why don't they rename the company?

>Mufasa__The Lion King
Is that his gamertag? “Mufasa” was a fine title, did ESG demand the brand name be added on or what.
not me!
I thought this was a fake fan made trailer for a movie that doesn’t exist
I did, disneyslop must fricking die
So this is basically the equivalent?
Is there anyone excited to learn a backstory of fricking Mufasa? And on top of that in a soulless realistic CGI where you follow the plot as if you were watching Animal Planet???
OH BOY CANT WAIT TO CLAP WHEN I SEE SCAR GETTING HIS SCAR!!
>OH BOY CANT WAIT TO CLAP WHEN I SEE SCAR GETTING HIS SCAR
I might have to see this now.
Evil can't really create, not anything new or original, it can only corrupt and distort what the forces of good have already created.
This is gonna make a billion and this board is gonna seethe, even though it's just a completely harmless and inoffensive children's movie.
People like me who are suckers for baby animals. That's a cute cub.
I hope the villains are based off the Mapogo's.
