There is NOTHING to save this movie. Right winger hate Disney, Left wingers hate the CGI live action slop. The ones who will shill for it are already paid by Disney so they won't actually pay for tickets.

When you realize that the Photorealistic Beaver King is the highest grossing animated film of all time, its easy to understand why people want to pretend it doesn't actually count because of that photorealism and being a part of Disney's remake pipeline.

Sequels to Lion King were pretty mediocre. I think Simbas Pride flopped back in the days. The tv series about Pumba or "Lion Guard" cartoon are almost unknown to the wide public.

But either of them would gather more hype due to being animated in classic DIsney style. I have no idea what kind of moron would be hyped about watching this soulles garbage. I dont think even families of the producers would ever think about goint to see it.

Women, children, mentally disabled and the elderly to a lesser extent. Basically all the people with no taste, undeveloped minds or those who need babysitting. It's perfect for them.
A lot of people grew up with Disney and so they are forever doomed to always check in on what they're making no matter how stupid or moronic it may get. I'm sure you've seen the pure distilled cope coming out of the Star Wars threads. Growing up with something really is that potent.

Scar ostracised himself. Mufasa on multiple occasions tried to convince Scar to rule alongside him and Scar refused. He turned into a bitter loner blaming the world for all of his problems and rejected everyone who reached out to him. He named himself Scar because he was a fricking edgelord loser who never grew out of his chuuni phase.

Of course loser neets would see a kindred spirit in the poster child for a failed male. You're no different than the leftist queers trying to argue the bugs in Starship Troopers "dindu nuffin".

All that is from the cartoon but the CG movie added a bit of dialogue about Scar’s real name or something.

        Anonymous

Scar's name "Taka" came from a children's book tie-in from the 90s called "A Tale of Two Brothers" that Lion King autists have clutched onto for decades even though they threw out the Simba son from the framing device for Kiara when they made Lion King 2 and then completely redid Scar's backstory for The Lion Guard on Disney Junior.

is this still the original caesar with james franco? when are they going to become humanoid talking apes?

The Caesar trilogy takes place right at the fall of humanity. The original Planet of the Apes takes place thousands of years after that. I think this new movie is technically James Franco’s Apes 4 so it’s only been a couple decades since the world ended, the humanoid apes come way later.

I disliked the ending. It was Burton trying to be as memorable as the original movie but it fell flat. It was kinda goofy. He should have adapted the book ending, at least it would have been different.
