this. back then it was all about vapires, everyone wanted to be one. larped as one online, wore hot topic clothes, and of course the movies. every movie had vamps in it. even the matrix movies lol. and black leather clothes. it was a magical time to be alive.
The original rode on the Matrix and Buffy`s hype and was solid enough. Beckinsale is actually one of the few "new" strong female characters that can actually sell the part. After seeing her on the total recall remake i`m a 100% convinced that if she had played the Terminator on T3 the movie would have been saved.
Haven't seen the 4th one but the first 3 were kino. Even Rise, despite not having Beckinsale's glorious body in a skin tight suit, was a legit enjoyable film. In a lot of ways it overshadows the first 2.
If you like vampires and werwolves and is able to enjoy edge cheese atmosphere and writing and just have fun with it instead of taking it seriously then yeah it's an enjoyable ride. It helps if you're not a zoomer/were alive early enough to be concious during the late 90s/early 2000s and the culture of that time, like matrix and stuff. They're not perfect by any means but they're fun. Only the first 3 are worth watching though, and arguably just 1 and 3
I feel sad for Marcus, William and Amelia. William couldn't help himself and Marcus got betrayed by Victor. Amelia seemed to be the only good one out of the three.
>Amelia seemed to be the only good one out of the three.
I was intrigued by her every since the first movie came out. What a total waste of a seemingly important character, lore wise.
never understood how these movies and resident evil never crossed over. especially during the era of freddy/jason and alien/predator. both were r-rated, both had hot female leads and both were borne out of post-Matrix 2000s aesthetics. even the og directors of each franchise fricked the leading ladies. woulda been kino.
Vampires are such a versatile topic. They can be gay, they can be twinks, they can be hypersexualized hearthrobs, they can be menaces, they can be adveserial; anything you can think of. We had seen vampires corrupt youth in 'The Lost Boys', we had seen a dhampir take on his own kind in a war of extermination in 'Blade', we had seen 'Dracula' come back, we had seen 'Buffy' tear them a new one. Underworld was a movie that showed their side of the story that is caught up in ancient bloodfeuds and interspecies war in a modern setting. Selene was hot and so was practically everyone else. It was held together by great performances not just from the main cast but the supplemantry cast of British actors that held their own like Bill Nighy, Derek Jacobi and Charles Dance who would go on to play another vampire in 'Dracula Untold'.
These movies were hot, sexy, badass, had killer action scenes, sweet kills, didn't skimp on the violence in the world it was creating and didn't take itself so seriously other than what it was which was a vehicle to have vampires and werewolves duke it out with humans on the sidelines.
Underworld was based before the word existed in its current usage.
>These are right down there with those resident evil movies.
I'd say on production and writing and for sure acting they're an upgrade on them by at least one degree.
>Nu-Metal soundtrack >hot protagonist >fun fight scenes >fun gunplay featuring a wide array of the finest wonder nines Europe had to offer at the time >vampires vs werewolves
We all did, Zoomer. I guess you just had to be there.
Me, I couldn't remember if I like Underworld or Ultraviolet. Or Resident Evil.
Look it's a broad in TIGHT latex shooting things, what more do you want?
> Underworld - Blood Wars
Decent
Gets points for bringing back the intrigue, backstabbing of the 1st but it's way too darkly lit (pic related shots are brightend by 40+%), Kate is clearly going through the motions, doesn't get that much screentime and the reveal of what happens to Michael is messed up.
Beckinsale hated being in the fifth one, hated the director (many sources claim that Kate generally doesn’t play nice with other women), and most of all she has a ridiculous amount of filler in her face in it lmao
Me. I did it for her.
Heterosexual men in the early 2000’s

Yup. Basically twilight for guys.
>Prime Kate Beckinsale in a skintight catsuit
And you're complaining, zoom zoom?
>Kate Beckinsale fricked Pete Davidson
INSTANT boner killer
coomer
>but don't you young people understand there was a hecking FEMALE that was FULLY CLOTHED and it made me COOM my PANTALOONS
unironically yes
the original and Rise of the Lycans are legitimately good films
3rd one is great. Bill Nighy's so good at taking something that would be over the top for anyone else and making the cartoon into something real.
Me.
what happened there, hot fired case down her boot?
seems tightly laced
what the frick
Foreskin moisturizer treatment isn't exactly vampire immortality
Yes.
Those full body foreskin facials must really work
Still extremely sexy
>Average 49-year old who takes care of herself vs average zoomer at 19 years old
she brought down the wall

The third movie is a great place to stop. The other movies are not worth watching.
I totally forgot there was a 5th. So bad it made me revert back to 4.
That’s what I asked about Fast and furious series.
I thought it was cool when I was a teenager. I tried watching it again last year and it was boring.
Rise of the Lycans is genuinely a good movie. The others are maybe worth it as long as Bill Nighty is on screen.
patricians
pure unadulterated stacy
God damn
it was always the legs. But she was super cute in 2003. Len Wiseman is a lucky dog, probably even got to eat her coochie in that tight spandex outfit.
HOOOTTTTT
Me.
3>1>2>4>5
I didn't know there was 5. 4 was pretty fricking bad. Wasn't there a giant robot werewolf or some shit?
Kate Beckinsale in skin tight black suit.
I tried watching the first film and couldn’t get past the first 5 minutes as it was the single most cringe Matrix copy I’ve ever seen
Me.
I was a kid who played adventurequest and hot girl + werepyre was cool as hell
00s weebs
I've never seen any of these movies. Are they good? They seemed popular on release. They look like if the Matrix was an urban fantasy setting.

me, homie. there's nothing quite like it, but Daybreakers is pretty close.
I prefer the jp poster.

the two novelizations give her a bit more in terms of development, even if just a few moments where you can hear her thoughts.
Tragic. All three were cool but only V and M got to show off.
My mom
men with taste. i have the uhd box set and the flicks look glorious on my 77" G3. get rekt zoombitch.
Spent years avoiding Rise of the Lycans because I generally hate prequels. Turns out it's the best one in the whole series.
Pretty based taste right here. And completely understandable to be wary of prequels, but good thing you gave it a try anyway

The first three (1, 2, and RotL) are legit kino. The sequels after that are unnecessary garbage.
zoomer detected, frick off
Asians, I think it’s like the resident evil movies, they’re all garbage but chinkoids just keep watching

great summary even if it is by ChatGPT
I'm human, homie.
the soundtrack for these movies is just full evanescence albums
Goths and nerdy homosexuals. These are right down there with those resident evil movies.

Frick you also Kate is great

I like the first 3
me but all the movies have merged together in my head and idk what even happens in it
still kino
KEK yeah i thought the 4th one was the 5th one and the villain of the second one was the 3rd one
why didnt anyone tell me they made two more?
My brother. He's taken at least two of his girlfriends to see these.
He's a mild wigger, so this is pretty out of his usual wheelhouse. I'm about 100% sure it's because he finds Beckinsale hot.
if Someone doesn't find Beckinsale hot they are likely gay
I think I've watched all of them. Honestly they're not "good" but whatever its entertaining enough to watch once.
OP is a homosexual, as usual

What's the scene on the right?

Wut?
Need an AI to make a cross over film with these 2.
