IRL the cartels are basically contractors for glowies in the first place. If they wanted to kill some crime family it would be absolutely trivial for them
The chink one was fascinating because I could barely follow who was who, the slopes all look the same! Great experience, the American nonsense comes off as a simple procedural in comparison.
The funniest thing about this movie is that Matt Damon manages to make his character the most loathesome hate sink. Not even Jack Nicholson and Ray Winstone's gotten that much jeering.
Having watched this movie many times, I root for Costigan. Costello is one the greatest movie villains of all time, a portrayal of evil as it truly manifests in humans, just a monstrous person
I honestly don't root for any of them. This might be partly why I find this movie so rewarchable, there is no tension at all for me because I don't want any of them to win, it's just amusing watching them interact
Was Marky marks character getting revenge for everyone when he killed Matt Damon or was it implying he was a rat too? It the rat angle doesn't quite make sense because he knew about Leo so why didnt he help frank?
Frank Costello
Ew didn’t he have a really young wife in that movie?
a young ebony wife
This until it's revealed he's a rat. Bummed me out cause I worship Nicholson characters
marky mark
Marky Mark
the rat
Leo risking his life to put away a crime lord, and basically getting caught up in everyone's bullshit
I'm curious from any possible weird history buffs here.
But has the government or any legal bottle ever have people go that deep before?
all the fricking time, there's a reason crime organizations are incredibly fricking paranoid about rats
No typically they're just going to have snitches like you see in the Sopranos. There's exceptions like Donnie Brasco, but that is extremely rare.

Every organization is basically run by them at this point.
Whitey Bulger literally was an FBI informant. Is running a gang deep enough for you?
Mark Wahlberg
>be american
>cant enjoy a story unless there's a clear cut good guy to root for
Costigan, TIM, and Marky
watch the chink ones and figure it out because this movie sucked
