Omni man, if he raised mark without lying to him about his planet, where he was socialized to be human, he would've been more accepting of taking over earth with his dad

Fricking idiot expected him to just throw the planet he grew up on and believed to be a part of out the window

Mark should have taken up on his offer to rule the galaxy as father and son instead of fighting to save sassy black chick who will respond to him saving the world with disdain and ridicule.

I like how we see it from Mark's perspective and know that he's an awesome dude. He is so altruistic and moral that he's constantly trying to save the world while fighting and inkling of power tripping or hubris he might be from being the strongest guy on the planet. He's hot, and decently intelligent too. He genuinely likes Amber and wants what's best for her and them.

We know this because we've seen it. And then write her as a destructive b***h anyway and expect the audience to forget the entire series they just saw to side with her.

Amber is absolute dogshit in the show even more than the comic. I don't understand what was the point of her being black and them making William full on gay instead of implying it like the comic.

He was a homosexual in the comics too, dumbo. It just took some time for the character to come out.

I don't understand the logistics of Le Heckin' Ebig Empire. Why would they want to rule over lesser beings? I get they're supposed to be like ebil nazi supremacists or whatever, but it'd be like sending Guderian to infiltrate and take over Liberia

The really weird thing is why they’d want to do anything but be very nice to humans due to how sexually compatible they are with them. Viltrumite DNA eventually overrides the human DNA so reproducing with humans makes an eventual full Viltrumite, so they are sitting on a vassal planet they could use to massively boost their numbers and the human condition would mean most of them would agree to a peaceful transition of power if they got the perks of getting uplifted and not being horrifically murdered and subjugated. A peaceful “invasion” would be much better for both parties.

        Anonymous

To be fair, maybe Omni Man is just too much of a sperg to consider that possibility. I mean, his attempt to get mark to join his side included using his face as a bludgeon to kill like 40 people. Only a true autist would be so naiive to their own child's mentality.
Really, he could have played it as a peaceful assimilation but instead chimped out on national television

Yeah he definitely seems like a callous moron, it wouldn’t take much brain power to figure hey I’ve been fricking this Asian one successfully for years, why not just tell the empire these guys are actually totally fine with me and they don’t have to kill anybody? Just show up and offer uplifting and enlightening and better technology and you can interbreed and humanity will die out within 2, 3 generations anyway. 100 years or so is nothing to them but lifetimes for us, so we’d all be spread out and fricking them until there weren’t any of us really left.

Yeah even more reason not to do what he did? Humans in their universe don’t have much contact with aliens, they could easily sequester and tell the public whatever they wanted and even keep earth a secret basically and just use us as the equivalent of a truck stop prostitute. Send a few dozen or hundred or thousand of their kind to reproduce and then take them off planet. There’s no reason to kill humans, in fact every dead human is bad for them too. It makes more sense to consider humans as valuable than expendable given how easily they can bear Viltrumite kids.

At that point in the story, there are only like less than 50 Viltrumites left.

so it would be fricking IMPERATIVE that all of them go to earth and frick humans then
really, in discovering earth and humans, they have found the one in a trillion jackpot, the ONLY way to save their own species

Virmulites don't want to live in peace, they want to oppressively rule. They didn't have to genocide their own species nearly out of existence but they did anyway.

Unironcally this, imagine giving viltrumite semen demons to all young adults between 20/30 and you MUST get them pregnant at least 5 times, she WILL be loyal to you and never leave you.
Nolan was a fricking braindead moron.
        >come to Earth, explain it to the JL knockoff that both Viltrumites and Humans are compatible.
        >Viltrumites get their precious empire, humans get children with the powers of superman and 10/10 viltrumite semen demons who NEED to be impregnated by human seed and 10/10 jacked supermen physically gods ready to frick human women ASAP, the entire planet would be begging for them to come the first day after being revealed.

They made Omni-Man a fricking crazy psychopath in the show, deliberately slaughtering people for shock effect, whereas in the comic the civilian deaths were just collateral damage. Not sure how the redemption arc is meant to work now.

It didn't work in the comics either.
Special agent guy is basically saying "We know you killed a whole team of superheros and a couple of civilians since you wanted to enslave everyone on earth, but welcome back".
      It's moronic beyond belief.

How the frick did Machine Head get Battle Beast to fight for him? I hope the show does it like the comic where they just flash to them in random moments of Thragg fighting with Battle Beast so plebs get filtered.

        >How the frick did Machine Head get Battle Beast to fight for him?
He'd just need to tell Battle Beast there was someone strong to fight, probably Omni-Man. Battle Beast was probably just waiting to be called in.

Alternatively, Battle Beast wasn't supposed to come back.

In that moment and that speech Nolan is more right, and Mark is in the wrong. He's lived like 2000 years and knows life comes and goes in the big picture. Mark is a fricking teenager that can't imagine an existence outside of his high school crushes, friends, and 2000s American culture.

Nolan really is all powerful - compared to earth. He has a mission. Refusing to play ball will only risk pointless death not only for them, but the entire planet earth because the Viltrum Empire is coming and does genocide for breakfast.

But he came on too strong too fast. He fricked up and had to ease mark into the shocking reality over the course of decades.

    >BUT
Mark is right considering the reveal of how moronic the Viltrumites really are They are a critically dying species killing the last of themselves. They clearly need earth's help, and its sexy asian earth wombs, more than the other way around. Nolan is delusional like the rest of them. His ways are mega-moronic and needed to change millennia ago.
