Putting energy into an actually useful power generation plant is definitely more useful than wasting it on some dumb 'modern' infrastructure project that tries to recreate the locomotive and just makes an inferior product.
We always ask, who was Mr. Snrub, and I always figured he was from the same place as Guy Incognito. But you know who showed up one episode and never showed up again? Mrs Cumberdale. She looks and sounds exactly like Marge, but only appears in a single scene in the episode "Bart of Darkness" where's she's making sandwiches in the kitchen and a teen says hello to her by name.
No mention of her, why she looks so much like Marge or what she was doing in the Simpson household in that episode or any episode afterwards. It's truly one of the most Simpsons mystery.
