they did end it properly you pleb

The blink to the audience implies they're on a dream just like the other ending where Freddy posesses the protagonist BF.
and Jason needed help to get Kruegger killed in the real world either way.

Obviously a straight up fight between them comes down to whether or not they're in the real world, in which case Jason stomps Frederick. But I prefer to look at it as who got the most kills, in which case Jason also stomps. Freddy got what, 1 or 2 kills in the whole movie?

      >Freddy got what, 1 or 2 kills in the whole movie?
I always thought it was weird to make Jason some kind-off anti hero in this film yet have him do most of the killing

        Anonymous

no the wink just implied he was down but not out, just like the end of most horror movies where there's a hint the monster might return.
But Jason won the fight, he's literally walking around carrying his foes head. Even the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comics read it that way.

          >no the wink just implied he was down but not out
Both DVD and theatrical endings imply Freddy is in control
          >Even the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comics read it that way.
No one fricking reads horror comics lol I bet 90% of the audience from this film isnt aware of them.

Wait you mean the DVD ending they didn't use because they admitted it made no sense.
and the proper ending doesn't imply that.

              >Wait you mean the DVD ending they didn't use because they admitted it made no sense.
The whole fight, at least in the real world, doesnt make sense. You're putting a burnt, 50 year old man against a Michael Myers Zombie with enough strength to punch someone's head off, there's no fricking way Freddy would be able to go toe to toe with him.
Yet Jason needed to be bailed out by the kids both in the Dream world and real world.
              >and the proper ending doesn't imply that.
It's the feeling I've got from both endings, did the director say anything about this?

                Anonymous

You're talking about the DVD ending where Will turns into Freddy? That's no official in any capacity. It was one the many endings they were considering but they said nobody knew what it meant at all.
As for the official ending. It's Jason walking, intact. what is so vague about this?

                Anonymous

                >That's no official in any capacity
The director's cut is usually the "canon" ending in a lot of franchises.
Take Halloween 6 for example where in the cinemas it was left in a quite vague way with Myers mask lying on the floor while Loomis shouts in the background.
In the director's cut you see the actual scene from this shot where Dr Loomis is infected with Michael's curse as he escapes disguised as one of the minor villains in the film.
                >It was one the many endings they were considering
                such as?
                >As for the official ending. It's Jason walking, intact. what is so vague about this?
Freddy winking at the audience and laughing implies that.
Plus, Jason never really recover from limb loss in the previous films.

                >You're putting a burnt, 50 year old man against a Michael Myers Zombie
You do know Freddy has strength in the real world too? Didn't you watch the other movies where he's running around in the real world?

                >You do know Freddy has strength in the real world too?
Yes and he never posessed that type of strength nor resistance.
It really isnt the only retcon on this film,
                >Freddy being weak because no one remembers him despite that on the OG film the literal plot is the protagonists discovering who HE was
                >Jason being totally terrified about water when he emerges from Crystal Lake in previous films

what directors cut? are you talking about the Will/Freddy ending because that's not ANY cut.
Freddy winking is just Freddy winking, it doesn't imply anything unless you want to read into it

                >what directors cut? are you talking about the Will/Freddy ending because that's not ANY cut.
It's the original ending and it wasnt the one released in the cinemas so technically it is.
                >Freddy winking is just Freddy winking
He laughs while doing so, I dont think he'd be sadistic enough to express joy about being decapitated IF he wasnt in control of the situation.

                >doesn't remember him smashing though the concrete at a pool party in part two and walking on the ceiling in part 6

                >doesn't remember him smashing though the concrete at a pool party in part two
He's technically using some other guy's body if I remember correctly.
                >walking on the ceiling in part 6
Fair enough but I think that Freddy is supossed to be "stronger" because he killed most of the teenagers in Springwood.
It's also the same film where he gets beaten by a homie with a bat so, those qualities are nowhere near consistent.

It's a unused ending. It's never official. Movies have tons of footage shot that they never use. You DO know how films are made right?

I've mentioned both endings. And there's not really a sequel to confirmt the statement of both either way, so it's kind-off a pointless debate.

He's always getting beaten the frick out of him and usually left for dead, so Freddy doing the same with him in the real world might not be THAT crazy.
