Yes they're still conscious, in some ways parkinson's that progresses to that stage is similar to catatonic depression, but usually worse since parkinson's at that stage it typically also involves parkinson's dementia which does affect their cognition more and consciousness too which catatonic depression doesn't, but they are still mostly in there which sucks.
