It's a cartoon from the time animation cells were a thing, that's the gold mine for remastering. Only the worse final seasons were digital.
There is, in fact, already an HD remaster (ACTUAL remaster, without any upscaling bullshit
), as the show was originally shot on film, and even when CN switched to digital in general (after the PPG movie in this case) the quality they worked with was beyond the basic broadcast/DVD res. It is (or was) available in HBO MAX; a Blu-Ray release would be perfectly viable, like it was for Samurai Jack.
And the show 100% deserves it, of course.

Digital Video Disc. There's a box with a little slit in it, and you touch the edge of the disk to the slit and then the slit sucks it in all the way. Then it reads what is on the disc and it gives you a menu where you can like select the show or bonus features, stuff like that.
I have the original set, might buy this only if the discs aren't double sided
