Why do they hate the Rogues so much?

They fell for the power level meme, not realizing that fujos would attach themselves to the Rogues so fast.

      >Waaaah why don’t you use this character, why do you hate them?!

It’s not about hate, it’s about what kind of story you can tell, how costly it would be to hire half a dozen dudes, can you do it well enough in live action format, etc.

And like it or not Flash’ speed makes it so that no matter how much you explain it, it is a bit ridiculous in live action that he doesn’t just knock out dudes with gimmick guns in a second without feeling like an asspull. And what are the Rogues gonna do that would make for a movie that people would be interested in seeing? Rob a bank? Come on. At best they’re disposable thugs for a bigger bad guy.

Flash gains mastery of his powers having to overcome all the Rogues tricks. Centre the film around father/son relationships with Flash still loving his father while Cold hates his and how it drives their characters. Flash is desperately trying to hold onto his family but is alsoe while Cold want's to create the family he never really had and acts like a father to the other Rogues. You can even have Barry and Cold already know each other from visiting their fathers in prison. Or have them talk out iof costume that way.
There's lots that could have been done

Because an Eskimo with a snowball gun is actually a terrible fricking villain for the goddamn Flash

That's pretty offensive to my culture, making snowball guns is all we have.

A lot of times these are just the directors answering hypothetical questions when they know it's not going to happen.

The director was just selected as leading director along Gunn's and Safran.

Clearly Erza has them by the balls.

That doesn't even make sense in the context of the movie.

He's just trying to save face among the criticism that he added so much non-Flash shit and non-Flash characters into a Flash movie by saying "see our movie and I promise we'll put a Flash character into the sequel".

      Heh. So basically,
      >I did it super bad but I promise to do it better in the sequel!!

      Yeah no.

I think by talking this way he is trying to bring in people who are staying home since they assume rightly it's a dead one and done franchise.

The movie was so bad at showing that there was an actual killer that there were people who actually thought Barry Allen himself killed Barry's mom

Why does RF give up ruining Barry's life over a can of tomatoes?

Barry tossed a burrito at one of his ancestors when they were a baby.

How do you make a Flashpoint movie that revolves around Barry going back in time to save his dead mom but never reveal who the real killer was in that same film?

Broad contempt for the material and the audience for it.

He doesn’t care to know obviously. It’s not like he could recognize the guy in the future and do something to bring him to justice. Once you get away with a crime you’re golden.
