Turns out when you don't feel like you need to see it to get context for one of the biggest movies of all time, Rotten tomatoes already altered the scores the first go round so nobody trusts them, and you need to have seen two different shows one of which was the least viewed on the platform just to know who two of them are, and it's been four fricking years since that movie you didn't even really like all that much in the first place, people just feel like they can skip it and pirate it.
>, and you need to have seen two different shows one of which was the least viewed on the platform just to know who two of them are,
All the Disney plus MCU so was doing worse and worse in the ratings and kamales was the second last one and she-hawk has legal drama Factor and is a B level hero who's been around since before I was born and practically as well known as her cousin not to mention I never seen those two shows you say you need to see in order to in order to know what's going on and I had no problem following the movie.
Off year for superheroes in general; Marvels out-performed Blue Beetle and Shazam and was in the general neighborhood of The Flash when you consider the larger budget for the latter film. Aquaman seems to be doing well in China so it'll probably pass The Marvels as well though it might not beat Quantumania.

Weird how people keep accusing Disney of that while never bringing up the actual fact that Sound of Freedom had a website to get church groups to buy tickets to showings they didn't go to.
>was in the general neighborhood of The Flash when you consider the larger budget for the latter film
Actually, The Marvels has a larger reported budget than The Flash.
Think anon is just talking about RT changing the "user reviews" to not actually being user reviews, idr them doing any shady shit for this movie in particular
- General Marvel fatigue
- staring a character that most people don't like, and two characters that most people don't know anything about
- sequel to a movie that was a big fat nothing, plot-wise
After so many bad movies, bad Disney+ series, and other assorted failures, people generally expect anything MCU to suck now. If no one is saying it's fricking amazing, they will assume it is shit
it didnt have a spare billion laying around to buy theatre seats with like the last one did
but bad movies get made all the time, anon
it really shouldnt come as a shock considering todays political climate but I used to go to a movie to shut my brain off and escape..
and not keep up with shows and other movies before I do it

>Disney didn't pump up the box office numbers this time around because they literally couldn't afford to
lmao
Weird how people keep accusing Disney of that while never bringing up the actual fact that Sound of Freedom had a website to get church groups to buy tickets to showings they didn't go to.
If a shitty indie film can boost the box office numbers, then Disney definitely can (and does!) I don't know why you think that's some sort of "gotcha!", movie studios totally pull bullshit like this.
What do you think his kind is?And he's actually providing an example of people who were known to do that and is accusation against Disney has flimsy evidences fast by people who want that evidence to be as powerful as possible.
Because there is a difference between a production company alleged to buy tickets for its own film and a production company asking a third party to voluntarily buy tickets to gift to a fourth party.
Disney needs to fricking stop this making new media that is a direct sequel to something else. Captain Marvel is a direct sequel to two different Disney+ shows not titled Captain Marvel. Like Dr Strange is a direct sequel to a Disney+ series not titled Dr Strange. Ahsoka is a direct sequel to another show that ended a decade ago.
The fact that this bombed while slop like Godzilla Minus One makes more than every Western movie this year should be deeply embarrassing for everyone in Hollywood
Because after the leaked plot for "Multiverse of Madness" that sounded too stupid to be true turned out to be real, Wanda put a curse on the franchise that will not be lifted until they admit they fricked up.
Slightly more seriously, they fricked Carol over by expecting her to already be popular enough to carry a team-up with two characters who were new to movies. Instead of giving her the Hulk or Wolverine or some other existing popular character to bolster her movie, they gave her essentially nothing.
It would never have been a huge hit but it might not have been an outright bomb if it hadn't been for the problem that you've got two literally-who characters teaming up with a main character who hasn't really done anything yet.
>Instead of giving her the Hulk or Wolverine or some other existing popular character to bolster her movie, they gave her essentially nothing.
If it weren't for Love and Thunder, I would have picked Thor. Just so the two of them could go on a quest and be cosmic scale warriors without the baggage of the puny mortals. And let's face it, Carol needs someone more high energy to keep some enthusiasm in the movie.

Hey here's an idea, how about actually making a good fricking movie so you don't have to rely entirely on brand recognition to get people to watch it?
>Hey here's an idea, how about actually making a good fricking movie so you don't have to rely entirely on brand recognition to get people to watch it?
In the post-2019 MCU? Dreamer.
But yeah, if the movie had been good then it would not have been a blockbuster but it wouldn't have been an outright flop.
I'm just saying there are other recent MCU movies that aren't good but managed to avoid outright bombing because they had characters with pre-existing goodwill.
>Because after the leaked plot for "Multiverse of Madness" that sounded too stupid to be true turned out to be real, Wanda put a curse on the franchise that will not be lifted until they admit they fricked up.
I want this to be true. Their failures since are the future they chose, the future they deserve.
I can't even tell what movie this image is talking about because "dude lmao epic universe!" bullshit where all the movies just blend together with no singular identity
Seriously though, all the marvel movies blend together the same way all the disney star wars movies blend together.
I couldn't even tell you how many movies are in their extended universes in the last few year let alone the spin off series on streaming platforms. Did that han solo movie ever come out or did it just flop so hard everyone already forgets it exists?
It all just gets mixed into a grey ooze indistinguishable from each other
My personal opinion as someone who likes the MCU and eats up most of their content still... the movie itself was disjointed and bad. The tone was never consistent, the characters never actually had a real reason to be connected to each other, and as another anon mentioned, those characters outside of Carol debuted in shows most people didn't see.
It wasn't even a fun action romp, either.
The pre-movie issues with the MCU surely didn't help, with this being the shortest MCU movie with three characters to deal with. The advertising for the film was lackluster, likely because Disney already didn't have faith in it.
Anyways too serious of a response and I assume someone will say I'm reddit spacing.

Bet you were thinking it was gonna come from a site you could just dismiss, eh?
Feel free, the sites obviously shit.
- General Marvel fatigue

is it out on d+ yet
everything except the race thing, don't mention the race thing
you can see in on any pirate site, it's a TV-movie you are not missing much
the copy i have has shitty audio
>shitty sequel to a shitty movie set in a universe that should've ended 4 years ago does terribly
unprecedented
Capeshit fatigue
First one only succeeded because it was sandwiched between infinity war and endgame

Who asked for examples. Answer the accusation instead of pointing fingers like a Black person.

women
The fact that this bombed while slop like Godzilla Minus One makes more than every Western movie this year should be deeply embarrassing for everyone in Hollywood
Barbie made close to ten times its budget while Minus One has made around six so far.

I liked her short hair cut in Endgame, real cute, shame they went with the basic DMV Karen look for this shite.
>basic DMV Karen
which DMV?
