    >BLENDED FRICKING FRAMES
Did they convert it from 24fps to 30 or some shit?

      Anonymous

Nope, they're unbelievably moronic and somehow created blended frames for a 24fps transfer from a 24fps source. I can't even

The pan-and-scan I can understand, people expect 16:9 not 15:9, people don't like black bars. Then again it's fricking DIGITAL, they could have scanned the original 15:9 at 4K and then crop it for the 16:9 plebes.

Been there for decades and never noticed any political slant. It's mostly old people uploading old VHS rips and TV recordings.

Then why not share via torrents? people genuinely think the whole ''protecting ourselves from copyright nazis'' was just a slippery slope to jutify hoarding and not sharing.

Personally speaking, I upload stuff there because I know people will continue to seed it for years. There's a curated audience there that craves the very specific type of content that I upload. If I uploaded it to PirateBay or whatever, 3 people would download it and that would be the end of it.

Crazy how different the rocks look between that and the bluray version. There's also the signature destruction of details from the de-graining. Is that 35mm rip not on any of the normie sites?

I see what you mean where there's a significant loss of texture with the background details.

          Anonymous

I am not sure if it's available on any tracker, the group that ripped it are adamant about people not re-uploading it anywhere because they only want people who helped fund the transfer to have it. I personally don't give a shit about what they want and would be willing to share the rip. I tried to register a MEGA account but couldn't get them to send me a registration email.

That's actually small compared to a lot of 35MM rips as it's only 1080p, some of them can be as big as 60-80 gigs, depending on how HD they are. I have a whole hard drive filled up with 35MM rips and it only has about 100 movies on it.

      >Private Trinny Tracker

Unless someone there stops taking $0¥latte and gets his soul cleaned and leaks it to "you know where", then forget it man, never in a million years, almost like if it never really existed.

This is why i HATE "members only" community of hoarders, because thats what they are, subversives.

And yes, its mostly progs n trinnies

some infiltrate those shitty groups to leak over "you know where" but then the usual suspects go after these leaks and take them down, so if you want something or stumble across something, be kind and share but be smart and download it

          It always was

I downloaded some japanese disney laserdisc rips, they are not Domesday captures but they are pretty good, only dowside is that each is a frickhuge 15-20gb avi rips, but if you use the proper handbrake setting you can get em aroun 6-8gb and keep quality and even proper de-interleacing, there's even a Daicon IV laserdisc rip, the only issue is the alternate audios, cause i cannot get Handbrake to keep all audios at once.

            Anonymous

How do they laserdiscs compare in terms of quality.

              Anonymous

They are uncompressed AVI's, sadly my bluray player is a sony one and its a b***h to play direct mkv rips or avis because Codec b***h fits, so i had to convert with handbrake, but i use 16-15 CRF to keep near similar quality at proper 60fps deinterleace, and since my bluray actually has composite output, it looks great on my CRT.
