Why are cartoon fans so desperate to see a dumb CG/live action hybrid flick that looks like an embarrassment to the Looney Tunes brand?

Why are cartoon fans so desperate to see a dumb CG/live action hybrid flick that looks like an embarrassment to the Looney Tunes brand? You should be pining for the fully 2D theatrical Looney Tunes coming out sometime this year.

gays and Gen Z/A just don't like being told they can't see something, especially something that was finished.
Regardless this 2d LT film will be far better then whatever CVA would ever be and if you don't see it you deserve theatrical animation being shit

      >Why are people upset by art being thrown away and countless careers being ruined for no actual reason?
Consider suicide if you're this moronic.

It's less it being thrown away they don't care about the film itself, it's that the TikTok generation is not allowed to see it and being told they can't see it. That bothers the shit out of them. That's why lost media is such a big topic now.

Not really. Way back in the day you saw Wizard of Oz once/twice a year on tv and had to wait again if you didn't record, some films you saw once every several years if (and a big if) they had a reissue in theaters. The ability to see media was way less concise and you had to hope you recorded it if you wanted to see it again.
Now? All those films are available with a few clicks on streaming or pirating. We have online archives of every LT short when you'd never be able to see them all back in the day. We have Youtube uploads of insanely obscure television broadcasts that happened once, music that had only 10 demo tapes pressed, content that never sold and would cost you hundreds.
An that's the thing. It sucks for all the CVA staff but no one cares they are getting fricked over, they care that it's now lost media and Zaslav is telling them they won't be allowed to see it. If it came out normally they might not even care, but now they are told they can't see it when they have easy access to almost every media ever made. And that makes them mad.

        >Careers being ruined
Who gives a shit? People lose jobs all the time. It shows how childish the industry people you're speaking for are that they find it completely unthinkable that they might have to get another job and indeed another field. The world isn't going to cater to your personal desires. and anybody with Christian faith has no reason to believe that artwork is going to suddenly disappear, hell, the Bible pictures the end times as a time when things like being a fisherman is still relevant.

You're not speaking out of reason, you are speaking out of your irrational feelings as a childish person

        >that looks like an embarrassment to the Looney Tunes brand

It had good reviews, and was based off of an acclaimed article from the New Yorker

Are you serious with this one

Fricking hell, why is it that every time someone brings up this movie that hasn't been released yet it is compared to something else?

In real life there are always comparisons made, you're not alone in your private adventure

The last Looney Tunes movie was Space Jam 2. Not a fair comparison because Space Jam has always sucked. Coyote at least had an interesting concept.

Coyote's concept is the same eye-rolling executive-quality idea that non-cartoonists come up with in Hollywood since they don't understand the core appeal of cartoons

Chuck Jones himself would have probably come up with a "Coyote sues Acme" short if Warners stayed opened through the 50s since he loved meta deconstruction shit in cartoons.

Christians destroyed 95% of Roman and Greek art, so that's not surprising to me.

That anon is a homosexual but his first statement isn't wrong. Young people are really interested in "lost media" nowadays, so it would make sense that some kids that don't care about the product itself just want to see it being released because it would mean that they could make, or watch, videos about it.

It """failed""" because it came out during covid and the geniuses at Warner decided to dump it on HBO Max instead of waiting 2 years

It is unironically the Principle of the matter. I can't even say I'd have gone to see the movie in theatres. But the concept of FINISHING a movie. A fully complete movie made with hundreds of man hours of work to make, and then just throwing it away so you can skim some money off the top is scumbag behavior and I'll always be against it. Even a shitty movie deserves to be released. If you don't think it'll make you any money then just release it for free on youtube or on HBO max or some shit.

I wish a true 2D Looney Tunes meant for the big screen would actually be produced but this is probably the closest we'll ever get and I definitely will be seeing it.

It's equally infuriating how much slacktivism is behind the coyote CG slop.

It looked like shit, but it's messes up that studios can snuff a film's release because they'll make more in tax write-offs. It's a sign of a sick system, and people are getting tired of it.

I don't give a shit about the movie, but why should they be rewarded for dumping a complete product in the trash? Why should they be able to say "oh we couldn't sell it for the amount we wanted, give us money Mr. Gubmint". They should be required to take an offer for it or sit on it and get nothing.

What's there to even talk about, there's barely any info on this movie asides from the fact that there's aliens, gum, Petunia Pig and the stuck up lady with the big hooters who want Daffy and Porky out of the neighborhood. At least with Acme vs. Coyote you can discuss the behind the scenes controversies going on since there's always news of that, but we know next to nothing about this movie.
