DIY attitude
They're not. Passive aggressive hipster gay.
This.
>hurr during I'll pretend to be a moron and ask intentionally aggravating questions to me it look like I'm getting bullied by shit head rock stars
you sound mad
it's mainly his questions but they wouldnt work if asked by anyone else because his personality really tests the subjects patience. it makes you as a viewer see how your favorite artist would treat you if you met them as a slightly weird person
I only like the ones were the interviews don't react to his bullshit whatsoever. The Nirvana one was funny because the only one that engaged him was Courtney Love and thats only because sh sees him as a gay. Lmaod when she tells Kurt that hes into music gossiping and reads all the same magazines as her and Kurt doesnt give a shit.
How old is this guy that he was around when Kurt Cobain was alive and is still around to this day? He doesn't look like he's aged at all.
>doesn't look he's aged
yes he does. hair has lost a lot of colour, doesn't stand as upright/getting the old man hump, skin sags a lot more. he likely doesn't live a lifestyle with lots of booze and drugs that is hard on his body, and that is something you just aren't as used to observing. his character also has a very consistent sense of fashion, one that aged him up when he was young, so he almost seems timeless. he was in his 20s for most of the 90s, now he's mid 50s. the next 5+ years will catch up and you will really start to see it, don't worry.
imagine getting to know kurt cobain and he burps on your face
there is just no possible way to respond to that without sounding mad or like a b***h
rumor has it that this caused nardwuar to slip courtney a 20 under the table and the rest is history
see? he still sounds mad
>What's that Kurt? You want to mysteriously die like how you die in April 1994?
Well he took it as a threat and stood out of his chair but banged his thigh on the table pretty hard, which made many people look over in our direction so he rightly sat back down. He then whispered whilst keeping stern eye contact with me "Leave now, you've done enough, you dim-witted fool."
dude comes prepared
He does his research and his questions are generally interesting instead of inoffensive buzzfeed questions. Then the gifts he gives usually makes it wholesome unless the artist is a gay.
>you VILL accept the gift or I VILL cry on reddit…
puts in the work
Old Cinemaphiletant here
he's the ultimate filter to see if a musician is a douchebag obsessed with image or is down to earth
Reddit the person
He keeps on rockin' in the free world.
the thing you'll notice about autism in particular is that they love consistency. this guy decided really fricking young that he was gonna be all about music and he was gonna interview people who make music, and despite being bullied several times for being a fricking weirdo autist, he just kept doing it anyway because that's just how autists work.
it's the same logic behind why autism gravitates toward shit like sonic. it never fricking ends, it's always consistently putting out new shit.
>autism
He's just israeli
He is LITERALLY ME
the cope i always fricking see if that he does his research, which is the midwit reddit answer. he asks the most basic b***h, 2 seconds on wikipedia questions and all these morons parroting his pr teams memes are the reasons this product of israeli nepotism continues to find work
>implying he even reads the wikipedia page himself and doesnt just have his team do it for him
Sean Evans also does his research, but Cinemaphile can't make any excuses to dislike him since he isn't israeli.
no one on Cinemaphile likes sean evans
Bullshit, I see Hot Ones threads all the time.
>2 seconds on wikipedia questions
Yeah, that's why they're always mindblown and slightly concerned that he knows the information, right? Because it's so freely available on Wikipedia? Fricking morons on this board, I swear to god
WOO HOO
He's a terrible interviewer. Look, his research team is in depth. There's no doubt about that and it is what carries his interviews. Showing items very niche or rare allows the musician to talk about something close to them that no one has asked before and it's a great way to get them to open up. The problem is that Narduar's interviewing skills are so surface level that he never digs past the answers he gets. He ignores it and shoves the next item in the musician's face. The artists walk away happy because they got a little freaked out with the research and some free records for their trouble but what does the audience really gain?
Imagine the in-depth research actually leads to follow up questions and subject matter that you don't usually get to see. That would be a good interviewer. You watch someone like Larry King or on the comedic side Craig Ferguson and those guys are interested in the conversation. Narduar wants to hit you with the spectacle.

Because he puts effort and care into them while revealing the deep humanity in his interviewee. It's not just "So, David Harbour, who would win in a fight, Hellboy or Hopper?"
