Ah yes, oversized bullshit hit boxes and the only way to defeat it is with pure cheese so you can go on Cinemaphile and pretend you're a hardcore gamer
No, you're just bad at the game. I could 100% get behind complaining about the hitboxes on DS1 or DS2, but Bloodborne has the most consistent hitboxes in the series.
If you're gonna generalize the categories so much that a hulking quadrupedal deer creature is a "lanky monster man", then nothing escapes the three categories.
That was a good concept for a movie, but it dwelled a bit too long on the "muh feelings" aspect. I'd argue the Ritual is the prototypical Netflix movie.
I watched that movie while on a bunch of DXM.
I wrote a lot about how it pissed me off.
I remember that their map showed a valley trail while they were on a crest trail, it didn't even show the friend getting hit with a pipe (I watched that in slow motion), they were such stupid whiny b***hes, talking about destroying someone's property (that effigy), the shadows were all wrong for their directions and the time of day, and of course they changed their heading without even knowing where they were (how you get not just lost but really lost).
And they're Englishmen but they couldn't keep their emotions buttoned up long enough to get through this without bringing up old shit? They behaved like women on their period. I've met SoCalifornian valleygay queens less hormonal and b***hy than them.
It reminded me a bit of the Descent on super-easy mode (not an absolutely dangerous moronic plan like the Descent).
I found my notes from watching that movie:
-
This movie strains one's ability to suspend disbelief-
Only one man consulting the map and compass?
No evaluation of the man's knee?
The map, which clearly shows the trail being along a valley, and not scenic ridgelines, and they're not even using a terrain map?
No evaluation when it looks like he took a .410 shell to the chest?
Them deciding to abandon their baring to go on some path without any reference to it? (pointed N by NE)
Then they say it's towards the light, and one of them says it's SW, when it's still morning.
"5 more minutes on this path, and I'm pulling rank." Why doesn't he pull it now?
strike noises coming before strikes land (because they don't land)
risking friend's glasses by hitting right under-orbital, then cries about his nose?
nah it looks like they tried too hard to not be generic and it results into this moronic shit where you cant even tell what the frick it is
is his head supposed to be a turned down human or is it eating him ? it just looks dumb
>you cant even tell what the frick it is >is his head supposed to be a turned down human or is it eating him ?
That's the point you literal smoothbrain.
Damn, I never got to that part because I was too exasperated and in disbelief over

God, stop being obsessed with IP, it's one of the worst things to have ever happened to art
Art is about the sharing of concepts and ideas and the evolution of imagination, not the financial accumulation of IP for 100 years
I also like to draw monsters and that's pretty good but aren't you scared someone will steal your design?
nah
karma is on my side
and karma tend to frick those who steal my shit
It's too late. I'm a concept artist with a deadline and I'm taking this design, you'll see it in an upcoming film and I'll get all the glory, chud. Get fricked.
This has some elements reminiscent of Prophecy (the mutant bear movie) but everything in Alex Garland's past several movies have the tell of AI generated forms all over them. No idea why they chose him of all people to hand it over to first.
what the frick is that ending tho
bro literally saved her and she goes >frick you because youre ugly im a girlboss btw
entire movie was moronic but the ending was extra giga moronic
There was no wypypo hate in Us or NOPE and Get Out is a comedy about liberals being annoying they seem like they're hiding creepy shit in their closets.
Everyone hates it but I thought it an entertaining schizo thriller and I liked the overall direction. Get Out was visually bland but in Us Peele found a sorta distinctive style for himself that continued in NOPE.

Fair enough. The horrible rasping voice was unforgivable though. Stevie-sounding ass.
>Every white person in Nope is evil, a moron, or a lunatic >opposite of common woke agenda with a spread deversity, here's segragated "the black ranch, the asian ranch, the white filmcrew" fostering them vs us Black person behavior
Whatever you say bro
Only the cameran was white in Nope. He was a bit crazy but I think the implication was that he is dying of an illness. I think there were cut scenes with him (this is the only big issue i had with the film, it was clear they cut around some scenes and the editing was clunky at points).
Asian character was an imbecile responsible for the events of the film.
This is plain false. Every main character wants to profit from the ufo. White guy is a tough guy (not evil, not moron nor lunatic), black guy is lazy and slightly dumb but kind, latino guy is a nerd and the asian guy is a greedy business man. Actually there isn't even any evil, crazy or moronic characters in the whole movie. It might have actors from all races, but doesn't turn them into a woke caricatyres and doesn't preach the usual woke agenda (sure it's about the exploitation of animals in show business but that's not the usual woke shit). I don't usually enjoy woke movies, but I did enjoy Nope.

Frick off Peele, Nope sucked
So, ORIGINAL monster designs? Like, Godzilla looks cool but he’s just a dinosaur. The dragons from Reign of Fire look cool but they’re just dragons. >xenomorph >deer from the ritual as other said (but that still isn’t that great)
I can’t think of anything else. The kaiju from pacific rim were interesting.
>just a dinosaur
Godzilla was originally an amalgamated Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, and Iguanodon based on how scientists in the 1950s believed they looked and behaved. Obviously over the years he's sort of become his own thing with many different iterations all adhering to certain design concepts. Japs are just good as designing monsters since they typically base them on things that are actually familiar to people rather than making them outlandish or grotesque like a lot of American movie monsters try to be. A good movie monster is something you can easily make into a toy and that a child can reasonably draw from memory. It should be scary, but also have an element of cuteness or even a bit of a human soul at the same time.
Disagree about Godzilla. Most versions of Godzilla, especially Heisei Godzilla really demonstrate that idea that he's a combo of a whale and a gorilla. Meanwhile he has a feline, tiger like face. I think that's a very original design for what is meant to be a mutated dino.
That cg model looks like shit no idea where it’s from.
Peak xenos are the ones from Alien Ressurection and the first AVP.
Can’t find a good pic of those but look at the alien from covenant. Looks like fricking shit. I hate how they removed the cheeks so now it has a perpetual >awww he’s smiling 🙂
face
pinsir and those fricking eggs are complete trash, the rest range from passable to good
turns out you cant go wrong by just having a literal pigeon as your unit sprite
I really liked the crooked mans design in the scene where he would stutter, looked cringe in the scenes where he moved normally tho.
Also the other mother from coraline put trauma into me when I was a kid
Just wanna ask - I think these lil guys are really cute, but I've been wondering - are they at all related to pit bulls? Do they have the same temperament and viciousness?
Clover gets a bunch of shit because it blends in with the copycats, but it was good enough to make the lanky monster man a trend in the first place. And while derivative of Clover, I really love the MUTOs. They technically fall into that lanky monster man category, but I think they give it enough of a spin to feel distinct. I really like the sleek aesthetic, as if they're a machine that's just made of organic matter.
The amount of monster concept artists in the business is small, and most of them are getting taught by the same few teachers, and stealing from the same few trendsetters.
I actually really like the goliath. It's general shape and proportions make it look generic, but I think the textures and the smaller details of the mouth give it a lot of life. Plus the whole point of it was to fall into a certain category of trope monster. The Wraith is genuinely amazing design though. One of the best in recent times.
Just look up apostles from Berserk. Idc what people think about the plot, characters, etc... the author created amazing monsters, his designs are superb
most concept artist only understand one thing: it has to look cool
they often never think about internal organs, skeletal structure and even weight distribution
a good concept artist takes what works in the real world and modify it slightly enough to be different but still retain certain attributes to have it be recognizable
>they often never think about internal organs, skeletal structure and even weight distribution
Its a fricking monster, they're fake. The reality of the monster being fact means applying any sense of realism to them is idiotic. If you spend your time trying to understand the internal anatomy of a wendigo then you're a frickin autistic moron missing the entire point
In fact, id go so far as to say that the more abstract and illogical of a design the monster has the more interesting it is. Things like unnatural movements/ anatomy only adds to the horror.
I agree with you but it also depends on the setting. In Dragon’s Dogma I think the chimera for example looks fricking sick but ultimately it’s just a lion with a snake for a tail and a vestigial goat buddy growing from its shoulders. Depends what you’re going for since a chimera is SUPPOSED to be a lion fused with some other crap this design makes perfect sense but I honesty hate modern numovie monsters that just take parts from real life animals and put them together in an uncanny way and call it a day if you know what I mean.
dragon's dogma chimaera also gets massive bonus points for actually utilizing all the parts of the monster properly
each head is distinct in it's actions
too many movie monsters just stitch things together then have it act like generic monster anyways
Bakshi's LotR had a few unsettling moments like this. The dark riders with that high-contrast printing, a psychedelic backgrounds sort of got right to the heart of that old-school pagan phantasmagoria.
>In fact, id go so far as to say that the more abstract and illogical of a design the monster has the more interesting it is. Things like unnatural movements/ anatomy only adds to the horror.
I don't wholey disagree with this but isn't youe gif just a rotoscoped human doing those movements?
That depends on the monster. An alien
should have anatomy that kind of makes sense, a supernatural creature shouldn't necessarily.
I agree with you but it also depends on the setting. DD's chimera is indeed amazing but it's not just a bunch of animals fused together. The face and proportions of the lion aren't realistic, they are more exaggerated, brutish and menacing. The snake is fricking massive and the goat is constantly covered in magic swirls as it casts magic. Those unnatural elements contribute massively to the effectiveness of the design.
You ever seen a bear walk irl? On all fours or on two legs? A camera doesn't always capture how weird their movements are. When you see one irl the way their limbs rotate and their weird gait will genuinely unnerve you irl if you're alone in the woods. It sends shivers down your spine.
I've lived around bears my entire life and I've never been scared of them moving around. Nothing about the way they move is unnerving if you've seen it before a thousand times. That's like being scared of cats being able to fit themselves anywhere because >Nooooo it's unnatural I'm literally losing my mind >save me Black personman
I mean yeah it would just be another dangerous part of nature that you avoid. Same reason you don't sprint at that moose you see in the river staring at you.
kek, funny enough I was gonna post Charizard, there’s lots of stuff about it I like like how the horns come right off the eyebrows and how the horns are just part of the head instead of a cusp and a different textured horn, and being a fire type and having blue in the color scheme was absolutely kino
Thats not his original concept art, and yeah he fricked up the Dragonite design, since when did Dragonite become a Axolotl?
All he did he was botch an original design.
Picrel did it better but also kept the spirit of the actual Pokemon.
Agian, its not a original design of his.
IIRC that homosexual who drew those meme designs got to make the designs for the farting pikachu movie with Ryan Reynolds’s and justice smith

Eh, the reason why globohomosexual design (aka alegria) is so common nowadays is because of vector graphics workflow, so having an identical workflow taught to many 3D designers can lead to samey results.
Easier sure. More kino? No. Great example of some cool and original monsters are all the things from this animated Riddick movie. They’re just weird beasts, not >deer, but a human body for a face >crab, but it’s 7 feet tall and has a pitbulls mouth and SQUEEAAAALS really loud >squids squids squids squids and more squids
^99.9999% of all monster designs
on the contrary mammal monsters suck, big furry beasts look silly imo
giant gorilla works
werewolves work
that’s about it
reptiles and bugs make the best monsters
Chickens can flutter-jump super high, that’s why you trim one wing down a bit. If the feathers on one side are shorter, the chicken just spins around in the air instead of being able to go over the fence.
Fine, I’ll bite if dinosaurs are fake then that means our entire existence is a fabrication right down to the geology of the planet. I’m open to that idea perhaps but it’s either dinosaurs are real or we live in the matrix.
Aliens are real AND are just Satan's demons , also the Antarctica doesn't exist it's just the ice wall that keeps us from discovering Atlantis and Asgard
It's not the same, Terryl Whitlatch was hired to work on Star Wars because of her knowledge of animal anatomy, she designed various creatures, podracers, and Jar Jar.
if your creature has an exo skeleton, that pretty much means that you can go about designing the creature how ever you like since their skeleton exist on the out side of their body
these bees literally do 0 dmg instead they just melt the african hornet with bodyheat
i love how you can absolutely tell the first japanese bee that got hit was hollering "get fuuuucked get fuuuucked get fuuuuucked"
As generic as cloverfield beast looks that’s viewing it through a modern lens where every monster since Cloverfield has copied the spindly legs/weird sacs everywhere design. It was fresh at the time.
It was a superpowerful Godzilla-esuqe monster that couldn’t be killed by conventional means. Those sacs are probably a thousand times more durable than the strongest carbon fiber.
That movie sucked and nobody wants a giant movie monster that looks like an aborted alien fetus. It's the same reason why the MUTOs from Godzilla 2014 also sucked.
I don't understand this, is a monster supposed to look like a realistic animal? or something unseen before and scary? seems like a catch-22, if it's too realistic and grounded in earth based evolution, then it's not a monster, but if it deviates from that ,artists don't know or understand anatomy?
I feel like some monsters that are basically animals (dragon) benefit from having believable anatomy but other monsters (amorphous necro-energy exophantom—I’ll let you imagine whatever that would look like) realistic anatomy doesn’t matter whatsoever. The troony from the OP screencap is just some pseud redditor making a non-point.
He’s not wrong that Hollywood is creatively bankrupt but for none of the right reasons.
Nothing to do with the thread but weird thing happened I typed out my whole post it was all green texted I had to add the arrows and it said my post was spam which sometimes happens when you mention reddit so I put a star in reddit but the post was altered somehow on upload.
They are. They're just not willing to hire the white and asian men who know how to animate them so you get whatever three hundred and fifty indians can cobble together instead.
a big reason why monsters suck now is because they are shrouded in darkness to save money on cgi, because when cgi monsters are covered in shadow its harder to notice flaws but its also harder to appreciate the design of the monster.
older monsters were done with practical affects so they would want to show off as much as possible.
Also the stylistic move is away from looking cool and toward looking "realistic" and yea alot of artists don't neccessarily know animal anatomy becuase they leveled up their art by doing porn commissions so what they make just looks like a vague shape with muscles or tendons, or it looks like a mostly human anatomy with a bland angry head.
concept artists deserve to be wiped out by AI. theyre so uncreative. the ones seething on twitter won't tell you this but most of them are photobashers (working over collaged images)
Give examples of good ones.

The Deer Monster from THE RITUAL
Lanky monster man
If you're gonna generalize the categories so much that a hulking quadrupedal deer creature is a "lanky monster man", then nothing escapes the three categories.

strike noises coming before strikes land (because they don't land)
risking friend's glasses by hitting right under-orbital, then cries about his nose?
The monster design was probably the only good part of the movie, but damn it's a good monster.
More movies should base their designs on actual freaky descriptions of mythology.
nah it looks like they tried too hard to not be generic and it results into this moronic shit where you cant even tell what the frick it is
is his head supposed to be a turned down human or is it eating him ? it just looks dumb

Damn, that looks cool. I'll read it as soon it is finished.
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long, the team behind the manga seems to be b-lining right for the endgame now.
Zodd is so fricking cool
Reusing the same shapes cuts down a lot on design and animation costs. Not justifying but it's the most likely reason imo.
So what does the Cloverfield monster look like?
You know how animals fart in their mouth to make their cheeks look bigger?
No?
Yeah, like that.

I mean, Hollywood has always been pretty lazy with monster designs. Just go look at old 50's monster movies for reference
The Fly from the ‘50s is a fricking joke. Just the actor wearing a big sports mascot fly head.
dragon's dogma chimaera also gets massive bonus points for actually utilizing all the parts of the monster properly
each head is distinct in it's actions
too many movie monsters just stitch things together then have it act like generic monster anyways
ah yes, the good ol wendigo
i like my design the BEST
Jesus Christ what a sexy frickin wendigo
Unironically could be scary af with some t.l.c.
>Don't go chasing waterfalls
Reminds me of this spooky frick.
That's like being scared of cats being able to fit themselves anywhere because
>Nooooo it's unnatural I'm literally losing my mind
>save me Black personman
If you lived next to wendigo your whole life you'd probably not be bothered by their movements either.
I mean yeah it would just be another dangerous part of nature that you avoid. Same reason you don't sprint at that moose you see in the river staring at you.
>it has to look cool
Yeah, and that's the only thing that matters
/vp/ still seethes at arvalis art to this very day
he's a big hack
Splinter monster was pretty good, loosely based on The Thing.
Monster design peaked with Alien.
Welp, time to jerk off to “up close solo cumshot traps”
The xenomorph really was a dickheaded jerkoff
indians can't animate anything unique
you forgot squid tentacle guy
Lanky monster man is best monster
Also Alien nanobot random tentacle monster
>Asked to draw monster
>Gets mad when they draw a monster and not a animal
Lets see their concept art.
kek, funny enough I was gonna post Charizard, there’s lots of stuff about it I like like how the horns come right off the eyebrows and how the horns are just part of the head instead of a cusp and a different textured horn, and being a fire type and having blue in the color scheme was absolutely kino
That's just a fat giant axolot
IIRC that homosexual who drew those meme designs got to make the designs for the farting pikachu movie with Ryan Reynolds’s and justice smith
Thats not his original concept art, and yeah he fricked up the Dragonite design, since when did Dragonite become a Axolotl?
All he did he was botch an original design.
Picrel did it better but also kept the spirit of the actual Pokemon.
Agian, its not a original design of his.
Paras and Parasect are horrorkino
That face is literally just a copy+paste of the Peter Jackson T-Rexes.
It's supposed to be a bug though.
yo Jotaro finna pokeball now?
>bug pokemon
>looks like a raptor
>@196534927
>Peele is a great director
more monsters like this please
like what anon
The amount of monster concept artists in the business is small, and most of them are getting taught by the same few teachers, and stealing from the same few trendsetters.
>I just assumed they were all using the same software program
Joe is such a moron
Eh, the reason why globohomosexual design (aka alegria) is so common nowadays is because of vector graphics workflow, so having an identical workflow taught to many 3D designers can lead to samey results.
God the lizard design in Amazing SM is so fricking lazy, holy shit.
did they think kids would want action figures or costumes of this thing
>are you approaching me?
Isn’t that the question of the day?
It's funny because you'd think you could just hire a few randos to give a fresh take, but no.
people don't get hired for what they do, they get hired for who they know
All the good monster designers work for games now.
It's okay, no one needs to bother with monster designs anymore. We've already created the greatest of all time. There's no need to bother anymore.
Terrible and unimaginative design tbqh phamalam.
omg a monster man without any skin and a big tongue ooooooh spoopy
Literally everyone disagrees with you but okay.
Who's everyone, dork?
>shitty remake version
nah
necromorphs' appearance is the least scary thing about them
>Deadspace monsters
All pretty meh and derivative of The Thing.
Systemshock 2 on the other hand
don't monsters by definition have ananatmy outside the bounds of natural animals?
no but they don't need to look like animals either
Knowing about animal anatomy has nothing to do with designing monsters. I mean I guess it couldn’t hurt to have, but.
Deriving something new from the bounds of anatomy we know is much easier than formulating a new type of anatomy that is seemingly impossible.
Easier sure. More kino? No. Great example of some cool and original monsters are all the things from this animated Riddick movie. They’re just weird beasts, not
>deer, but a human body for a face
>crab, but it’s 7 feet tall and has a pitbulls mouth and SQUEEAAAALS really loud
>squids squids squids squids and more squids
^99.9999% of all monster designs
Middle one isn't all that familiar but the other two get used way too much.
heres another quick mock up
stinger at the end of the tail
>the claws aren’t all stingers while the tail is the proboscis
4/10
i mean yeah, its just photo bashing at the beginning
you would take the photo bash and redraw it
hope that helps
reminds me of pic related
da crittas are unda attack
AHHH!
I GOT ONE OF DOSE THINGS AFTA' ME!
crab>mammal>squid>humanoid>bug>>bird>>>>dino>>
gap>>
on the contrary mammal monsters suck, big furry beasts look silly imo
giant gorilla works
werewolves work
that’s about it
reptiles and bugs make the best monsters
>mammal monsters suck
>giant gorilla works
Yeah I said giant apes and werewolves but in general they suck. e.g. giant werewolf would be stupid.
giant werewolf would be too sexy for mainstream audiences
KYS
get thee behind me ultrasatan
Giant gorillas are shit.
heres another thing to keep in mind when designing creatures
not all limbs of the creature has to be useful
pic related
chickens have wings but can not fly
>chickens don’t use their wings
>wings are only for flight
…
kys fricking moron do you think chicken is a good fricking design? its moronic and youre moronic
anon... youre missing the point here
not all limbs appear to function the way you think they should is what im saying
you can apply that logic to creature design
why would i take advice from a roostergay who thinks chicken is a good design ?
i didnt say chickens were a good design
i said the appearance of their wings makes you THINK that they can fly, when they cant
you can apply that logic to creature design
but you shouldnt because thats shit design and chicken is shit design stop embarrassing yourself
they use their wings you know
Chickens can flutter-jump super high, that’s why you trim one wing down a bit. If the feathers on one side are shorter, the chicken just spins around in the air instead of being able to go over the fence.
>the chicken just spins around in the air instead
lol fricking dumb chickens
How do we feel about the beasts from Maze Runner? Underrated series in general.
Hahaha imagine getting anally raped by this thing, wouldn't that be weird?
I came to say this
I thought they were pretty cool with the organic + mechanical elements
tbh God already designed the two coolest and scariest monsters IRL
>he thinks dinosaurs were real
Lol
>He thinks dinosaurs aren't real
and are actually the remains of ancient demons
Couldn't be me
Fine, I’ll bite if dinosaurs are fake then that means our entire existence is a fabrication right down to the geology of the planet. I’m open to that idea perhaps but it’s either dinosaurs are real or we live in the matrix.
youre so close to getting it
Nice blurry image you fricking moron LOL God damn you people have the IQ of an child.
>dinosaurs are fake
>earth is flat
>male children are women
ok israelite frick off
Aliens are real AND are just Satan's demons , also the Antarctica doesn't exist it's just the ice wall that keeps us from discovering Atlantis and Asgard
are fake
Yes.
is flat
Yes.
>>male children are women
No.
>ok israelite frick off
Interesting, denounce the talmud before you reply to me again.
What's the image quality got to do with anything, genius
Globe earth is a israeli lie.
>Being smart enough to question israeli lies, subversion, and machinations.
>Being moronic enough to think the earth is flat.
You're an odd bunch.
>dinosaurs
>real
>trannies
>women
Sharks have been around for longer than than flowers.
>anatomy
>where did I put my Soviet truck reference images
gets me every time
It's not the same, Terryl Whitlatch was hired to work on Star Wars because of her knowledge of animal anatomy, she designed various creatures, podracers, and Jar Jar.
>it’s not …le same
Star Wars is space opera/fantasy, not scofi
>she designed podracers and Jar Jar.
today's the day I learned the name of my mortal enemy
Is that supposed to be a positive?
Aliens in Star Wars are absolutely moronic though.
haha
Take Vanquish out of there please
last tip of the day
if your creature has an exo skeleton, that pretty much means that you can go about designing the creature how ever you like since their skeleton exist on the out side of their body
just make it a giant bee
LONDON
Hornets are really the Black folk of apoidea.
these bees literally do 0 dmg instead they just melt the african hornet with bodyheat
i love how you can absolutely tell the first japanese bee that got hit was hollering "get fuuuucked get fuuuucked get fuuuuucked"
>As the hornet finds out, bees are entirely immune to bystander syndrome
I'm just tired of the grey unmemorable CGI monster
What about the Sparas from Carnival Row?
>2024
>I am forgotten
Re-watched all Cloverfield movies a few weeks ago, Cloverfield is still the best monster movie ever made imo
>all cloverfield movies
There only 1
There's 3
There’s one…
>this is a discussion on Cinemaphile about movies
As generic as cloverfield beast looks that’s viewing it through a modern lens where every monster since Cloverfield has copied the spindly legs/weird sacs everywhere design. It was fresh at the time.
>has large air sacs on the side of its head that inflate when it breathes
>these are never punctured by gunfire or collisions with buildings
So you'd shoot for the inflating sac things on the side of its head first instead of in the middle of the head?
Yes. Because then you would just have to wait for it to bleed to death.
It survived a carpet bombing from a B2 bomber, pretty sure it was basically indestructible
It was a superpowerful Godzilla-esuqe monster that couldn’t be killed by conventional means. Those sacs are probably a thousand times more durable than the strongest carbon fiber.
>carbon fiber.
That movie sucked and nobody wants a giant movie monster that looks like an aborted alien fetus. It's the same reason why the MUTOs from Godzilla 2014 also sucked.
>the MUTOs from Godzilla 2014 also sucked
No, you suck!
I don't care if they might look/sound unoriginal to some, I love those homies like you wouldn't believe
They're kino anon
>artist doesnt know animal anatomy
what do they know then?
How is animal anatomy related? It's a monster, not an animal. Watch a documentary if you want to see something realistic
What wrong with these exactly?
There's much less creativity in video game monsters than Hollywood monsters
The arrival aliens
The alien from Nope
The creatures from Edge of Tomorrow
Annihilation
>The arrival aliens
squids
The alien from Nope
KYS and back to r*ddit with the other troons
The creatures from Edge of Tomorrow
squids
I dont think you know what a squid looks like
Nothing to do with the thread but weird thing happened I typed out my whole post it was all green texted I had to add the arrows and it said my post was spam which sometimes happens when you mention reddit so I put a star in reddit but the post was altered somehow on upload.
DREN
Seeing this movie and getting to THAT part in a cinema full of black people was pretty funny.
SEXO
They are. They're just not willing to hire the white and asian men who know how to animate them so you get whatever three hundred and fifty indians can cobble together instead.
If funny that you can tell this guy doesn't get a lot of work because he's a whiny butthole on twitter all day
>not a single post about Chode Gorilla
>design a MONSTER
>trannies get upset because you don't know animal autonomy
b***h it's a fricking monster
>bleh!
dis homie looks like me
Just a sea bunny.
The Suffering video game had some pretty good monster design. I can't play games like that, shit is nerve racking.
a big reason why monsters suck now is because they are shrouded in darkness to save money on cgi, because when cgi monsters are covered in shadow its harder to notice flaws but its also harder to appreciate the design of the monster.
older monsters were done with practical affects so they would want to show off as much as possible.
Also the stylistic move is away from looking cool and toward looking "realistic" and yea alot of artists don't neccessarily know animal anatomy becuase they leveled up their art by doing porn commissions so what they make just looks like a vague shape with muscles or tendons, or it looks like a mostly human anatomy with a bland angry head.
fricking twitter subhuman
>moronic anatomy that makes a creature goofy and laughable its real horror
Peak brainlet take ITT.
I'm still mad about this shit.
concept artists deserve to be wiped out by AI. theyre so uncreative. the ones seething on twitter won't tell you this but most of them are photobashers (working over collaged images)
>no ones like my ideas so i'm mad
im gladly not a "concept" "artist". none of them have ideas
Military grade cope right here
Irys is the perfect kaiju design
Werewolves, vampires and women are the only monsters worth remembering. FACT.
vamps are gay
please don't emulate CreepyThinMan
good fricking god, just don't
because for most of them the scariest thing in their lives is their own reflection in the mirror
Oh God RJ Palmer. Shouldn't this gay kill himself or something? He's one of those guys that makes you proud when he blocks you.
Was good thread until the schizo showed up
Mexicans buy them and then breed them as much as Mexicans do themselves.
I hate Mexicans.
Not just Hollywood either.
Like how is a nip qt in my bed supposed to be a monster?
Frick.
Oh no, a ghost blowjob! Save me Black personman!
She's dead and going to kill you or possibly some supernatural ghost shit that's even worse than death.
Missing Rakshas
