People are slowly getting tired of it, though. A certain cartoon I won't name recently pulled the lesbian card and the fandom mostly rejected it.

I've slowly come to realize that white guys don't like lesbians for the same reason normal straight men like lesbians.
For white guys they just hate themselves and hate their masculinity (or lack thereof) so they don't want to see a male character in media get together with a female, since it makes them feel insecure.
For the rest of us, we just like breasts, which is why for us it's the physical aspect of lesbians (namely, two sets of breasts rubbing up against each other in the nude), so we tend to enjoy lesbians in porn and ecchi anime, while white guys only enjoy lesbians in kid's cartoons and yuri anime with no sex or nudity.
As such I don't associate with lesbianism on the internet anymore because a lot of the modern dudes who are into it are just white guys who hate themselves and not just horny frickers like it used to be back in the early-mid 2000s.
