Do people still believe in the climate hoax? Even normies I know don't buy it.

It's a cycle that has been going on for as long as I've been alive. There is some major man caused climate problem that will be the cause of the end of life on Earth in the next ten years or so unless we do exactly what the elites say. Then nothing happens, people either believe that the nothing that we did fixed the problem, or they realize they have been lied to. Wait a few years, change the name of the climate crisis, and repeat the process all over again.
To what end? Frick if I know, but it just keeps happening time and again.

The new narrative is that those old predictions were deliberately wrong so that people would take the issue more seriously. Obviously that begs the question of whether it really needs to be taken seriously regardless. People will never stop listening to their preachers. They enjoy the death cult aspect of it even if they don’t know it.

I'm done arguing the matter, not because I'm a denier or whatever, but because the span from 2000 to 2030 sees US emissions go from 5.8 gigatons to 2.8 gigatons and Chinese emissions go from 3.2 gigatons to 14.7 gigatons
If carbon is the tremendous threat scientists say it is, the developed world has literally done enough already
Europe and the US could fricking evaporate tomorrow and carbon would still keep skyrocketing through the decade

Step one to a plan that actually wants to cut carbon is to convert every coal plant to an LNG plant (the conversions are relatively cheap and easy to do, and LNG generates 50% less carbon per kilowatt than coal does)
Step two is to build as many nuclear plants, as fast as possible (fission, of course, generates zero carbon)

Notably environmentalists fricking hate both of those ideas. Honestly, if all the worst shit about nuclear was true and we got a frickin' Chernobyl every week, and the alternative was earth turning into Venus, isn't "Chernobyl every week" still actually the rational option?

funny considering movies spend 100's of millions dollars to just build and destroy shit. There is no greater money pit than making movies. Sure they make money but the money that was spent to make them is the most non productive, productless, blind consumerism that can possibly exist.

This is my favorite article I've seen in a while for the sheer level of psychotic and dystopic it reaches

    https://www.politico.eu/article/your-life-2040-if-eu-climate-plan-work/

    >You won't eat meat or chocolate anymore, enjoy potatoes or oatmeal instead!
    >Of course your house will be smaller and more expensive, we're all going to have to learn to get along with each other better in more crowded conditions
    >Car ownership? Imagine how much healthier you'll be now that you get to ride a bike everywhere!

I'd say it was a /misc/ shitpost if it wasn't by professional authors in a mainstream news magazine, so I sorta shudder to think there's people who actually read it and go "Oh yeah, that's gonna be great"
