there was an x thread a few hours ago with people explaining that there was writers like bendis doing petty shit while listening to CBR people. part of it's a combination of hack writing and listening to the most insufferable fans

Unfortunately they've moved from listening to the fans at CBR, who at least mostly read comics, to the "fans" on Twitter where activists larping as fans and demanding everyone become gay or brown seem to outnumber actual fans who like the characters as they are.

I'm just hoping with Brevoort moving to the x-office (also weeping over that fricking decision), they move everyone else around too. god lowe's run as spider-head has been a fricking mess and a half.

If it's true that Brevoort, Lowe and White are Marvel's 3 senior editors, and none are leaving, it'll either be a direct swap of Brevoort to X-Men and White to Avengers unless Lowe moves too. Which all depends on whether Marvel care at all about Spider-Man fandom's hatred of the current run, and how many people are saying Lowe and Wells need to go. It's still selling, so they may not care. And as good as it is for Avengers fans to finally be rid of Brevoort, Lowe or White probably won't be any better.

At least for brevroot and most the older guard they are mid to late 50s their closer to death keel age in the industry. And it's noted that buckley is moving them out of favorable terms.

The problem is like the writers, editorial used to be made up of lifelong superhero nerds who just happened to have awful taste to being replaced with gay humanoids who care more about The Message than the characters, history, continuity, etc.

        >moving from CBR to twitter

okay so things are going to get worse. i figured as much. even a reboot was done, twitter opinions would make sure it's gravely mishandled

at least the guy writing for 97 ditched twitter. idon't know if it will help though

no one has nostalgia for rekrap, no one has nostalgia for bad writing.

the people who like bad writing are probably the shills who like writers that ship what shills want and the cycle feeds on itself. like when writers do what rightclops fans want, we get shit like krakoa

Imagine you had a cushy job that you were pretty bad at.
Not, you want to keep your job. Do you hire competent people who could threaten your position with your bosses, or do you hire tards your have to wrangle?

but if you hire competent people, you can share the credit with them because you're in a leadership position. then when you give them good recs when they get different jobs, you strengthen a network

      >hire some tards
yes that's the situation. what they're doing doesn't even make business sense

See, you sound like you'd be pretty good at the job because you think ahead.
Stop thinking like you're half-way competent.

unironically this is the type of person I want writing comics even if I don't like all of his stuff, someone I know is a fat nerd who was obsessed with comics as a kid, its better than any of these hipster buttholes or minorities who only started once some movies were popular or because of a cartoon and never read old comics

I'd give anything for a Jim Shooter type to get put in charge again just because the b***hing the lazy pussy creators would do across social media abut how unfair and cruel having to actually do some hard work would be more entertaining than anything they could write or draw
