It's really the modern incarnation of 80s family sitcoms, but raunchier.
If you weren't there, you wouldn't understand. The sheer number of interchangeable shitty shmaltzy suburban whitebread sitcoms just between 1985 and 1989 alone was asinine.
Let's see there was Roseanne, Married with Children, All in the Family, Full House, Home Improvement...damn can't think of any more but There were dozens. And that's not even counting nick at nite with the old black and white ones like original addams family and the munsters.
And those are just the ones that actually have an episode or two that are good.
Sitcom is a stupid over-saturated market
Because it´s incredibly cheap and has large ratings.
Also you forgot about a dozen semi-related shows; and the fact that all this derives from The Honeymooners.
Isn't because they're all produced/created by the same people?
Like wasn't Brickleberry and the "Mexican Family Guy" created by guys who'd been writers on Family Guy?
And then isn't Paradise PD (that's what "Cop Family Guy" is right?) made by the same people that did Brickleberry, and I assume so is the show under them?
