This. It's surprisingly easy to steer a thread away from coomer discussion if you actually have something interesting to discuss. If you don't, coomer discussion becomes the default, lowest common denominator of content.

The pursuit of short-term pleasure can sometimes lead to bad long-term effects on a person's wellbeing, which is why a lot of value-systems, especially very old ones, tend to be either wary of pleasure, or openly opposed to it. A lot of conservatives follow very old value-systems that treat pleasure as inherently sinful, since when dealing with peasants or goatherders it's a lot easier to just put a ban on all pleasures than elucidate a heuristic on when it is and is not a good idea to obey one's immediate physical desires.
Porn is of course completely okay, but a lot of anti-sex sentiment persists in western society (and all other extant societies, to varying extents) as a result of old social norms meant to reduce social friction, maintain compliance, and use sex as a tool for religious domination and social conformity through the system of marriage and the nuclear family. People loyal to these old institutions are wary of pleasure in any form, and particularly of sexual pleasure, because they view it as external, and therefore threatening, to polite society.
That's my opinion at least.

In this day and age, every boy/man has the ability to see more breasts in a week than Genghis Khan ever saw in his life and his DNA is present in 1 out of every 200 people world wide. It’s not good for humanity as a whole. It’s the primary driving force degrading men these days in the same way that social media degrades women. Both create unrealistic expectations of the opposite gender and is available at the push of a button, little effort required. Why be a better man to win the girl when I can drown in a sea of pussy with a couple clicks? There’s more than just porn to it all but it definitely doesn’t help
