What does it have in common other than "slice of life with a fat kid protagonist"?

They were shows that's only premise was "currently popular comedian as a little kid". Nobody cares about either of those comedians anymore therefore nobody cares about the show

Life with Louie is cult a classic in eastern europe. Hardly anybody at the time knew Louie Anderson was a real person. As a kid I thought it was all fiction. The show also still gets quoted fairly often.

Life with Louie, like most Fox Kids shows, has been trapped in the Disney vault for the past 22 years. Also Louie Anderson is dead now, and shows based on the lives of then-living celebrities become relics extremely quick.

Yeah, LWL could use a rerelease, not to mention rerelease of dubs...

The real reason those shows are forgotten is just that people would rather watch streamers and le randumb shit with proper lgbtqwert representation nowadays.

Like what? I don't remember anything from Life with Louie being particularly memetic.

Clearly you are an amerifat. Basically everything Andy has ever said in polish dub is quotable. Credit for that goes to the translator as well as to the professional stage actor that dubbed Andy. In OG dub real Louie voiced himself as well as his father, just with slightly mocking manner. I mean OG dub is okay because I compared them at some point but still... meh.

The weird thing was as a kid, like 6-8 years old, I have no idea who Howie Mandel and Louie Anderson were, but I watched Bobby's World and Life with Louie constantly.

It wasn't until my late teens that I actually saw anything Louie Anderson was in, and to date the only thing I know about Howie Mandel is his severe mental problems.

Point being, was I expected to know who Mandel and Anderson were? Was that supposed to be the reason I was watching it?

Howie hit big on Deal or No Deal before that ended.
Last thing he was on was as that annoying narrator in that National Geographic show.

Also I forgot to note, Bobby's World actually did escape Disney and is available on Prime. But Prime has such an overwhelming amount of schlock and garbage that I'm not surprised no one knows Bobby's World is on there.

It’s on Kabillion, in which they shill it on their YouTube.
Idk if it’s a channel anymore on TV or not.

    1. At a certain point they stopped playing the reruns on TV (in flavor of more popular shows)

    2. They're good but they're not THAT good.

I remember these because they are two of the very few cartoons I've ever watched.

Interesting fact: while obscure and forgotten in the US, life with louie was somehow extremley popular and well known in eastern european countries like poland and romania for some resson

Was Louie Anderson popular in those countries for some reason?

I was able to piece together that the real guy with the weird hair was the same as the uncle or whoever with the same hair in the cartoon, but I still didn't know who the frick he was.

I couldn’t stand Bobby and his family. The only likable characters in his family were His uncle and mom.
I remember wanting to punch his douche old brother in the face.

The former is too mean-spirited the latter is relatable and chill.
I like the voice deliveries in the latter.
