They fricking had x-cutioner using anti blm rhetoric to Cyclops and don't get me started on that cringe "don't talk when a black women is talking" moment with Storm. Now, for the most part the show is good so far but don't lie about what is vs isn't.
Something about this headline made me giggle. Like, you could replace the "Disney" and "latest Marvel Show" with any big name well received franchise installment and just swap it in and people would believe it based entirely on their own biases. It's not even trying to hide the spin.

Which is funny in hindsight because one of the best criticisms of the show is that they didn't follow up on the first episode's tone very well. That tonal whiplash of a more generic fantasy rpg anime gone horribly wrong followed up by the Slayer's character being communicated to us through his jaded actions and emotional numbness to the situation was made for an extremely solid introductory episode. It kinda keeps dialing back the cynicism after that as it goes and just ends up a generic adventure anime but with rape and torture, which doesn't work as well when the series hinges on the viewers fascination with the Slayer's one track mind and cutthroat nature and the cruel world which lead to it
