If I remember correctly, in a magazine about the UFC, a woman said that many of the females tend to learn grappling and usually rely on grappling because they don't like getting hit in the face and having their faces ruined. Rhonda Rousey is sortof like that since she is really good at Judo. But there are some women who are really good strikers like the Polish Muay Thai fighter:Joanna Jedrzejczyk(I had forgotten her name and had to use Google to look it up).

Yeah. I found the article and the UFC magazine issue, it was the issue of August/September of 2015. The article was on Bec Rawlings, a.k.a. Tasmanian Savage.

I think in the male side of the UFC, it's the shorter, light weight guys who tend to be the strikers since they don't expend a lot of energy when they throw punches and kicks. The taller and heavier divisions of the UFC, the men tend to use grappling and wrestling, more since being taller and longer limbed they use up more energy.
That last portion about how the males fight in the different divisions of the UFC should be it's own paragraph. But when I posted it, it erased the space between the quotes from Bec Rawlings and that last paragraph. Probably because I tried to triple space it and it came out formatted all wrong.
lol no, grappling takes much more energy than striking no matter what weight class you are. Heavyweight is also a division full of strikers.
No I meant that if a taller longer limbed fighter throws a punch, it uses up more energy than a shorter and smaller fighter who also does striking. Besides, I haven't watched UFC in years, so things may have changed.
Yes, that's an objective fact. But you said that the heavier divisions are more grappling oriented because of this, which is not true, because grappling always takes more energy than striking.
Okay, yeah, whatever. It's been a while since I saw an UFC match or a UFC program.
While there are women in the UFC who don't want to get hit and would prefer to grapple, there are still plenty of women who are strikers, even in the UFC since some of them have backgrounds in Karate and Tae Kwon Do.
Even in combat sports outside of UFC, like in Muay Thai and boxing, plenty of females take part in non-grappling/non-wrestling martial arts.

This is what qualifies as professional fighting for women and this is why nobody wants to watch movies about females fighting. It's easier to suspend your disbelief about a dog playing volleyball than it is to suspend your disbelief about women being actual fighters.

I think the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon counts as a female fighting movie since 3 of the important characters in that film are fighters.
