            >Men genetically evolved to be the protector and have a larger muscular skeletal system
"Genetics" says no such thing. The protector role has been forged socially, culturally rather than biologically (and even if it does, who cares, we're more than our biology). Egalitarian societies have and still do exist.

Again, a flat out lie, as 0 societies in human history have ever had women as the protectors of men, if they did they collapsed instantly when the women were totally unable to protect the men and they were wiped out before they could make any impact at all.

                >(and even if it does, who cares, we're more than our biology)
Form denotes function, biology matters immensely. The same way you wouldn't use a hammer to saw a piece of wood, you wouldn't make the weaker vessel do all the fighting.

You’d expect that as tools reduce the value of muscle that women become equal to men in combat roles but the reverse happens
Women have talked to me about feeling unsafe walking home alone and when I suggest that they carry a knife or a gun they balk at the idea, they generally prefer to have a man do that sort of thing for them if it needs to be done at all
If I was part of a biologically weaker sex, I wouldn’t do silly shit like hold a key between my fingers or rely on dollar tree pepper spray but women, some of whom I consider to be intelligent people, choose those options instead of serious solutions when looking at this issue which they themselves deem to be serious

Our discussion was on the topic of strength and combat capability and that you had to immediately try to pivot to ‘ability to function in modern society’ is just you deflecting from the argument you know you’re losing

They still deserve respect, regardless of strength (like I said with the intellect and compassion being more important in society today). It's how we can make things more fair and equal

Respecting women is not the same as denying that differences exist
Treating unequal things as if they are equal is not a good thing because it leads to constant failures as an outcome of the mistreatment of things
In this case, fairness and equality are demonstrably in opposition and that you mistake them for synonyms is a fundamental ideological problem

thankfully men through force built societies where that is possible. Thankfully they continually uphold the pieces of paper and sociological theories that allows those societies by the underlying threat of force for breaking those rules.

I legit laughed out loud watching this. I remember I was reading a comment on facebook by some moronic boomer who said Ronda Rousey could take on Floyd Mayweather and it was so obviously wrong to anyone with a functioning brain, but seeing that women with this little skill can be in a professional fighting setting at all makes it actually insane to think that a female pro fighter could take on even a teenage amateur boxer.

Maybe someone like Amanda Nunes against a really really small boxer in an MMA match and the guy doesn't get any training beforehand. I remember that debate over Floyd and Ronda. It ended real fast when she got destroyed by Holly Holm, and then Amanda Nunes. It turns out she was just a decent judoist with absolutely no striking ability.

If I remember correctly, in a magazine about the UFC, a woman said that many of the females tend to learn grappling and usually rely on grappling because they don't like getting hit in the face and having their faces ruined. Rhonda Rousey is sortof like that since she is really good at Judo. But there are some women who are really good strikers like the Polish Muay Thai fighter:Joanna Jedrzejczyk(I had forgotten her name and had to use Google to look it up).

Women really have their own meta

Yeah. I found the article and the UFC magazine issue, it was the issue of August/September of 2015. The article was on Bec Rawlings, a.k.a. Tasmanian Savage.

"The straw weight division is definitely grappler- and wrestler-dominant, and these girls just don't like being punched in the face... They just hate it. So it's definitely a good edge for me, because people know that when they fight me that I'm coming in there to hurt them..."

"'When I started training and fell in love with the boxing side of things, I picked it up quite naturally,' she said. 'It never fazed me to get hit, and I thought all fighters were like that. But it took my coach to be like, 'No, girls don't like being hit. That's why they're more grappler-dominant. They like to wrestle, and they don't want to get hurt.'"
I think in the male side of the UFC, it's the shorter, light weight guys who tend to be the strikers since they don't expend a lot of energy when they throw punches and kicks. The taller and heavier divisions of the UFC, the men tend to use grappling and wrestling, more since being taller and longer limbed they use up more energy.

          Anonymous

That last portion about how the males fight in the different divisions of the UFC should be it's own paragraph. But when I posted it, it erased the space between the quotes from Bec Rawlings and that last paragraph. Probably because I tried to triple space it and it came out formatted all wrong.

          Anonymous

lol no, grappling takes much more energy than striking no matter what weight class you are. Heavyweight is also a division full of strikers.

            Anonymous

No I meant that if a taller longer limbed fighter throws a punch, it uses up more energy than a shorter and smaller fighter who also does striking. Besides, I haven't watched UFC in years, so things may have changed.

              Anonymous

Yes, that's an objective fact. But you said that the heavier divisions are more grappling oriented because of this, which is not true, because grappling always takes more energy than striking.

Okay, yeah, whatever. It's been a while since I saw an UFC match or a UFC program.

This is what qualifies as professional fighting for women and this is why nobody wants to watch movies about females fighting. It's easier to suspend your disbelief about a dog playing volleyball than it is to suspend your disbelief about women being actual fighters.

While there are women in the UFC who don't want to get hit and would prefer to grapple, there are still plenty of women who are strikers, even in the UFC since some of them have backgrounds in Karate and Tae Kwon Do.

Even in combat sports outside of UFC, like in Muay Thai and boxing, plenty of females take part in non-grappling/non-wrestling martial arts.
