Females also don't stalk/physically follow men nearly as often as men do to women. That's the thing most male slasher fans fail to realize, for men the stalking part isn't so terrifying, but women genuinely fear that part also, because it can happen to them any day in real life and in almost all cases they can't physically overpower a normal man, let alone a slasher villain that usually has some sort of superpowers as well.
