You think a Lord of the Rings sequel would have skyscrapers and ring shaped freeways with some random loop-de-loop in the middle of a city?

Tolkien was planning one but it was too grimdark so he abandoned it.
Basically with Sauron defeated, at some point Aragorn's descendants get corrupt and there's subterfuge that collapses Gondor.

All ends in Dagor Dagorath. It's referenced multiple times in The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings

Thats not a direct sequel its just the natural end of things. Thats like saying capeshit ends when Marvel God decides to start over again. No shit it ends then.

Not entirely. Complacent, but not corrupted. Children pretending to be orcs and whatnot.
The villain was a Necromancer who was under the influence of Sauron’s spirit. Not possessed or anything, just could hear him whisper. Tolkein was too depressed to continue it because he said it felt too real.

LOTR SEQUEL would be kino if done in good faith, sadly too many traitors of man are still alive for that to be possible.

      >if done in good faith
Pitch a plot for one. You don't need to get too detailed, I just genuinely don't see what there is to continue with. The appendices basically depicted the mop-up after the war and some history after The War of the Ring but nothing sequel-worthy, and Tolkien explicitly stated evil never again took a single form like it did in Sauron again.

      bullshit
All ends in Dagor Dagorath. It's referenced multiple times in The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings

All ends in Dagor Dagorath at the end of iirc the seventh age. The end of LotR is the beginning of the fourth.
Also it's debatable how canon Dagor Dagorath is.

        >Pitch a plot for one.
        >The Elves have left, the dunedain are basically extinct, and the armies of the men are still recovering
        >Powerful Black Numenorean sorcerer that's descended from the ancient Rhudar Kings up north leads his dark kinsmen to conquer the North
        >Bree falls and the Shire becomes a battleground
        >Aragorn gets lured into a trap by cultist traitor nobles, and a swarm of wraith drag him north to be taken prisoner
        >The powerful black Numenorean was actually a weakened mortal fragment of Sauron all along
        >Aragon knows that he can't defeat mortal Sauron without magic, so he swears fealty and becomes his secret apprentice
        >Then an extradimensional eldritch army invades, thus good and evil put aside their differences to fight this grave new threat
