Why can't this style fricking die already? It's the 2020s, not the 2010s.

It's like a slave. It'll keep working for 40 years before it dies.
I actually feel gross after posting this. That was probably the worst thing I've ever typed.
Nah, it's artistic frustration. In that regard, I totally get it.
Give WDAS time to make couple more flops with realistic environments and babyfaced characters. THEN they might start experimenting with style. Btw WISH doesn't count.
God, Wish felt like such a fricking poser in terms of art direction.
Is it true that Wish was an expiriment in AI writing? Because idk what's funnier to me, the fact that AI can't come up with anything that is better than your average Hollywood slop, or the fact that your average Hollywood writer writes like AI
It's gotta be both, because execs are a bunch of incompetent cretins LMFAO.
I doubt it. It was more they had a half assed concept that needed to tie into the 100th anniversary and all the actual creative talent left years ago.
It makes sense all the talent left, considering other studios tend to be a lot more creative. (As far as art direction goes.)
There's industry insight coming in saying their script and songs were pumped out of AI programs and then looked over and very mildly tweaked by like two guys at most
Idk if I believe that
On one hand, it's likely, considering how shit it is
On the other hand, the NPCs who work up there are already about two IQ points dumber than AI and that's saying a lot, so maybe they just write like a machine because they ARE one
Also AI is such a topic nowadays... I've seen people on Cinemaphile respond to nearly every long written post as "dude is this AI" even when it's obviously not frick the state of Cinemaphile has gone bad in recently years so it's not unlikely someone just made that rumor up and it got circulating
We will never know for sure unless we find proof, and finding proof that something WASN'T made is much harder to find proof that it WAS made
Like how do you even verify that? Find the AI that did it and interrogate him like that one episode of Spongebob where they think Larry the lobster is a robot and smash a buncha electronics in front of him?
Maybe not some random dudes on Cinemaphile, but maybe artists within the industry might have more credibility to their claims.
I am an utter philistine and know/care little about art so maybe that's why I like this style.
Didn't I already see this exact thread with the exact same replies?
Doubtful since I've literally never used the weird "philistine" before
>Tangled didn't get an academy nomination in 2010, yet Kung Fu Panda 2 somehow did in 2011
Think about that for a moment
The academy is all one big punchline.
They could've nominated Tintin, Arthur Christmas, Rio or even Cars 2, but instead they nominated Panda 2 (a much shorter in length movie)
My best guess is because Katzenzlav has a frickton of connections, so he's able to "sweet-talk" his way into nominations.
simpler times. I miss them. And I miss 2010s edits of this little bawd rapunzel
Edits of Disney princesses as goths/punks are the female version of edits of toon characters as gangsters and mobsters
Why hasn't that been made a canon within SpongeBob already?
?t=3
Frozen doesn't have the words "Disney presents" at the start.
