Superheroes truly have ruined this entire medium. Even the smallest amount of genre variety would be a saving grace at this point. But no, it's like other kinds of stories are literally not allowed to exist in comic book form.

You know what really boggles my mind? The number of people on here that post about Batman but never actually read his comics. There are people here that think Batman never lost a singe fight or that he's a gary stu 100% of time because of online arguments or random comic pages, but those same posters they rely on for information conveniently leave out the absurd number of loses he has.

I like comics. Been reading a ton the past couple months. I used to be a massive anime guy but that interest has waned significantly, mostly due to how oversaturated anime is in the West now and how this new generation of anime fans are fricking insufferable. Bought a couple manga over the years but I’ve definitely bought way more Western comics, I am quite tempted to pick up the Trigun deluxe editions that Dark Horse are putting out though. You can prefer comics but screaming to the high heavens that you enjoy manga more than comics just makes you look like a homosexual
