Why does this show look so cheap?
the cheaper it is to animate, the more popular it'll be.
Just look at Cinemaphile and that sexy magical girl show.
I doubt their budgets are even remotely similar.
But the most popular Cinemaphile show right now is by far Frieren, and it's very well-animated.
I watched this show thinking it'd be a unique take on magical girl shows, including sexy outfits, but it was just girls being lesbian, talking like toddlers in sexy outfits.
All the budget goes towards the lewd scenes.

the stardust crusaders case has always perplexed me, the whole series looks and feels so beautifully well made in the visuals department that they had already spent the whole budget by the time they were reaching the end.
as soon as the secret of DIO's World is revealed to the audience and Joseph starts bleeding out is when the quality starts being all wonky (and no to mention how they adapted the big jumps as flying, superman syndrome right there)
at least the Blu-Ray version is more polished

This shot made me wish they'd use something like AI art on the show, like just before the compositing stage. It feels like this show is begging for it, you'd basically have things drawn and animated by artists in a more typical simplified way so that people aren't committing seppuku to meet deadlines. But then you run AI on each frame to stylize it slightly like pick related, just to add extra polish and complexity in the lines. I think you could make some really incredible looking stuff if the AI tools can pull it off without ruining the animation.
I wish less suits and STEMgays were raging buttholes. It makes it difficult for artists to adopt these tools without worrying about abuse later down the line.
I really don't understand why they thought that scene was necessary. The only people that would find it funny/interesting are not old enough to be the target audience of the show.
