Idk but I can’t believe someone chose to have this “character” in the movie instead of Superman. Maybe people would have went to see it.

Nobody cares about Superman. This was just as bland and pointless as if it were him. And you get the same story without having to pay Carville.

      Fate.
I did enjoy the film and glad I watched it in the cinema, but I did find it odd we just say her fly through a drone not ten minutes before her first stabbing. Was there something special about the blade? Must have been kryptonite, but then why wouldnt it make Zod weak aswell?

Supes is in it. Briefly fighting a volcano...on news footage from far away...with his back to the camera.
I wasn't pleased by this but he's still technically in it.

They should CGI’d him in a main role with lots of screen time.

          Anonymous

Maybe, but also there's something kind of charming about Keaton's Batman being in his own contained universe with no other superheroes. Unlike Affleck's Batman, who even addresses the criticism that if he wanted to end crime he would give his money away, Keaton claimed that Gotham didn't need him any more and it is one of the safest cities in the world. Its sad he's all alone, but he gets to spend his retirement drinking, painting and listening to classic rock. He's a Batman who actually accomplished his mission. They didn't "Last Jedi" him like the Ghostbusters or Indiana Jones.

He could have come from a different universe. Rewrite the story a bit.

That would be awful. Did you not see how terrible he looked in that brief cameo he was in? Imagine a whole movie of that.

It was fine. CGI looks cartoony at the best of times. I just want it as a basic visual stimuli to vehicle the story.

Burton-Batman was in this surreal world that blended 1930's and late 80's aesthetics in a surprisingly satisfying way, but this movie doesn't attempt any of that. He was a millionaire (not billionaire) Yuppy Batman with high-end Shaper Image catalog gadgets, a custom car, plane and suits, spending at most 20 million dollars of 1989 era money. I doubt his plane could have flown to Siberia without refueling twice. He's not a technobabble scientist Batman. This movie should have been made 15 years ago with Adam West.

                >I doubt his plane could have flown to Siberia without refueling twice.
This movie doesn't bother with logic or time constraints. The US Army starts fighting Zod on a (terrible CGI soundstage) plain as Supergirl shows up there, then they spend an entire night trying to restore Barry's powers, and when they show up at midday the following day the battle is still going on just as before, like a vidyagaem scene that will wait for you to arrive.

This, Flash changed his timeline and caused a new intersection with the 1989 Batman's universe, which was created and intended to have no other superheroes in it before him. This is also now what separates the Keatonverse from the Kilmerverse, because he gets a Robin. Now Flash is living in the Clooneyverse, which is different than the Kilmerverse (despite both being Schumaker films) because we see Two-Face's costume in the Arkham property room in B&R even though he died in Batman Forever. This could also be a great chance to bring Carrey's Riddler back; have him be someone who figured out the Multiverse with his "Box."

but if the Flash didn't appear in the 1989 Batman Universe, Batman and Supergirl would have just died away from the battlefield from the terraforming machine. Yet they keep dying directly from Zod and his forces. Supergirl very directly. Zod having that dna package is a very different trajectory then Super Girl just dying in the commie pod.

I liked old 1989 Batman. He showed he could hang with real superheroes. His takedown of the Kryptonian Giant was great. Superman should be killable with a few million dollar's worth of next generation C4.

One of the most based scenes in the movie was Keatons quantum spagbol. Sheer kino.

Why didn't Flash go back in time like a year before Zod arrives and get Batman to help train Supergirl?

The movie had like 5000 reshoots so that probably did happen a one point.
I think originally they were suppose to BTTF it a bit more and go back further in time.

I would have liked to have seen Flash actually go to some of those other universes, team up with a new actor playing the George Reeves Superman (maybe even reference Hollywoodland and have Ben do it)

DCucks have fully embraced diversity now. All the shit movies have totally broken them as people. They are on Cinemaphile praising a Superman cartoon where Clark is literally the last white person on Earth.

        Clark isn't a person, he's Kryptonian

It's bad enough The Batman's supporting cast is now Le Noble Black and the Psychologically Dangerous Whitoid, now we get treated to Mexican Lois and Black Jimmy.

This movie is 2 and a half hours of pure stupid.
You'll see fully clothed mid girls and Twinkerbell Miller prancing around nude in multiple scenes.
      You make your own call.

I used to think that Thor/Jane was the worst capesdhit romantic subplot, till I was exposed to Miller-Flash barely feigning sexual interest in chubby (Black of course) Iris.

I think its just an example of wanting to give Barry a "case of the not-gays" especially considering Miller's eccentric behavior

She was in JUSTice League too, tho not as fat.
You can't make Ezra Miller seem not-gay. When he joins up with his 18-yr old self in the past (played by Miller with just different clothing), you really expect them to frick.

Regardless, the Barry's should have been able to beat Zod, they were developing skills to take out entire groups of Kryptonians at once.
They could reset time at will for infinite do-overs.
There wasn't even a need to fight them on that battlefield, they could just zip over to the World Engine and destroy it with Supergirl's help while Zod dicked around with the Army.
Then ambushed them one by one over time.

They swung for the fences. Nobody played Batman as a rich eccentric out of touch weirdo like Keaton. It's a very Don Quixote like character.

kryptonians obviously follow similar male-female sexual differentiation to humans, in that their males are larger, stronger, and better fighters than their females, plus zod had a lifetime of military training and strategy on her and he was literally bred to be a soldier and a general.

    just watched it
its not awful or too bad, its a C. though i'm biased as a DCgay
i think most of the problem was ezra, he just doesnt 'feel right' as Flash in some way i cant adequately explain. dont like him in the role, or iris' casting for that matter (not that shes in the film any more than three scenes). i liked keaton back as batman, that was my bats growing up
yeah hurrdurr they do the callbacks but what the frick are you going to do with the one time you get keaton back in the suit? NOT reference '89 batman?

Clark had absorbed solar radiation longer and had more experience using his powers. Kara was too green for the battle she was asked to fight. fricking shame too cause i thought Sasha was incredible and would've loved to see her in Women of Tomorrow.
