When I took BJJ the head of my school would regularly bring in wrestlers who were interested in trying out BJJ, this was like 20 years ago, all I remember is that they were insanely strong, like WAY stronger than the people training in my studio even though we were regularly exercising like crazy. Like their body felt like rock compared to the flabby or skinny normie white belts I was training with. They usually destroyed every single white belt easily, I didn't last one second and got destroyed along with them it was extremely humiliating, even though we were regularly training. The blue belts were about their level and everyone above them were able to easily make them tap but the white belts were like a wet paper bag to them. Obviously they had several years experience and we did NOT so take that into consideration but otoh they don't know all the chokes and arm and leg locks and stuff either. In any case, the wrestlers who train for a few years are usually ridiculously strong, they literally feel like unstoppable tanks relying on brute strength and some weird techniques I never understood, but it was very humbling. Trained wrestlers know WAY more than enough to control regular people who don't train pretty easily.

That's sort of true and the only real achilles heel of grappling vs. boxing. If you get the right punches in a boxer can defeat a wrestler pretty quickly but if those punches don't land in the right places and with the right amount of force, and they usually don't, and the wrestler gets past you, it's usually over. It's not "cope", these are just facts moron. I never said "experienced wrestlers are invincible".

Wrestlers shoot for legs exposing the backs of their heads/upper-back/jaw. It's an easy target if you're a fighter and know when to hit or kick. But if a good wrestler gets you on the ground and is mindful to not expose himself to punches, it's usually tough to beat.
