You just reminded me that ive got to kill both Alex and Keanu for what they did to Bill and Ted... they will both pay for ruining one of my favorite franchises. Keanu , Alex, youre fricking dead , Im coming.
I like Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey and the trailer for this one looked so cheap and sad that I didn't want to watch it. It feels so uninspired. I don't like any of these fanservicey 30-plus-years-later sequels. Only time I thought it was interesting was Halloween H20 because that was the first time I saw the concept, lol.
It wasn’t much of a retcon. In bogus journey they just call the kids little bill and little ted. Obviously they meant for them to be sons but they worked around it in the sequel by having the girls be billie and thea or whatever.
1) the story was a disappointment. In the previous films, Bill and Ted's great destiny was only hinted at, and that made it seem cool. What we got as the expression of their great destiny was lame as hell.
2) Why did we waste time with their daughters? They accomplished nothing, they had no character development. They just seemed to be there as as a sop to The Message.
3) What did this film show us that was new and interesting? Not much, if anything. It was just a retread of a lot of old shit.
Because the mannerisms of both characters were being mocked right in front of them by their own daughters. The director and writer were outright mocking Keanu and the other guy for still doing this shit into their 50s. Listen to how the daughters talk, they're not mimicking their fathers; they're doing a parody in front of them.
Cuz they cast two trannies to play their daughters.
The same reason an Austin Powers 4 would completely flop.

Arent you still in court for killing your cinematographer Alec?
It didn’t. It was comfy kino.
>it didn’t
Budget 25 million (not including marketing)
Box office 6.3 million
The girls were hot,but making them the heroes was a mistake
The time of men being heroes has passed
Station
Liked some parts of it, but the writers filled it with typical CURRENT YEAR Black person worship.
Go woke, get broke.
This.
Also this.
kek
Because it was fricking awful truly, truly an abomination.
it sucks, badly
>dude, our daughters are totally banging a Black person!
>MOST UNPRECEDENTED

People got burnt out on cynical "passing the torch" movies. Plus the whole thing of them going back to being losers shat on the second film.
It was bad like really really bad
Did they just ignore the ending of bogus journey where they fulfill their destiny?
That ending also had them with baby sons so yeah they retconned it

it was shit
the movie also had a depressing 'no fun allowed' filter on it
came out during pandemic and was a steaming pile of dogshit. coming from a bill and ted fan, this was awful. having kid cudi in it didnt help.

I wasn’t looking forward to it and I was still disappointed.
Yet another sequel/reboot no one asked for
Actually to be fair people had been screaming about Bill & Ted 3 for years
Probably not one where they're still losers in their 50's though, considering how the second one ended.
Because they keep making these types of sequel movies that shit on the previous film and its main characters to push the new female characters more.
I'm an actual fan, read their comics even and I cannot remember a single line from this movie. It was sad and not even in a mean way.
