Probably was just to boring. I can't imagine enjoying remaking something you already did but with more restrictions.
I go back and forth on whether it's a mostly good or mostly bad thing they left, given what a trashfire every post-ATLA Avatar project has been. Maybe them not being involved is a GOOD thing.
It's a fricking live action adaptation, have many time they didn't suck ass, i can't recall a single example
1995 mortal kombat is pretty iconic
That movie's fame is carried entirely by nostalgia from people who saw it as kids. The only actually good thing in it is Tagawa's performance.
People seem to be pretty fond of the One Piece thing But two close together seems extremely unlikely.
That said, they were dead weight in Atla and it was carried entirely by other writers.
People seem to be fond of almoust anything these days, one p looks like a bunch of cosplayers having fun on youtube, and Avatar shapes up to be no different
so you have no idea what you're talking about
even Cinemaphile threads were unsettlingly posiitve
Detective Pikachu, One Piece, some comic book movies and shows (Raimi Spider-Man, Shazam, Wonder Woman, Blue Beetle, Doom Patrol, Titans). It's a small list but there are some good ones.
It's 50/50 for me
I would rather have the original creators involved but obviously their work on Korra was pretty awful.
Either way a live action remake is a mistake and I probably won't watch it at all anyways
Was the shows story even over at this point in series? I know you need to strike when the iron is hot but it just seemed like such a pointless adaptation. Why do so many people think LIVE ACTION version means anything important.
>Why do so many people think LIVE ACTION version means anything important.
Because normies are fricking morons and think something has to have "THE MOVIE" in the name or be live action to be for adults, and everything else is for kids.
...why would you think they would try to adapt a three-season series with clear seasonal break points into just one?
>Why do so many people think LIVE ACTION version means anything important.
Normalhomosexuals are morons
Normies are better than (You) and everyone else in Cinemaphile. Keep coping.
It's on Cinemaphile, not in Cinemaphile.
post the fatty
Aren't Aang's eyes suppose to be grey, Zuko's eyes gold, while Katara and Sokka'z eyes are suppose to be blue? I know they are suppose to be Asians, but their eyes are suppose to be the color of their respective elements or something like that. Grey for Airbenders, gold for Firebenders, Water Tribes have the blue eyes and inhabitants of the Earth Kingdom, or Kingdoms, have green eyes.
I think it's probably a harder sell when wacky neon contact lens/cg eye color intense enough to be visible outside of close-ups applies not just to the special main characters but to every single person in the world
netflix probably already forbids that level of safety liability across the board, but who's going to complain?
>we want to see authentic blind representation
Just let the lead characters and the important side characters wear the contact lenses.
Because Netflix wanted to add sex and swearing to be more like Game of Thrones
What excuse will they use to not use an actual blind 11 year old for Toph? And how will they divert the inclusion criticism?
>why did bryan and mike leave it?
narcissism
