IT had stranger things kid, bill burr/other funny israelites, , and hot bev marsh
Doctor Sleep had Ewan MacGregor but didn't use their Jack Nicholson look-alike enough (which I thought worked really well, but I bet most people were expecting more Jack callbacks throughout)
It's literally about a secret society that prolong their youth by abusing children. Idk what he's on about. Maybe black person in major role = woke.

I'm glad they kept the call backs mostly in the first act. Really gave Ewan time to shine and the rest of the cast is fantastic. Zahn McClarnon (Crow) deserves a lot of praise in particular. The scene where they kill the little leaguer is one of the most uncomfortable I've seen in a while and they pulled it off without any gore.
It rode the whole Stranger Things straight to the bank. WB poorly marketed Doctor Sleep so most people barely knew it existed, plus the whole premise of "the little boy from The Shining grows up and fights a cult of telekinetic vampires" is a stupid enough premise on paper to put people off. The movie actually being fairly good was surprising in itself.
It's a pretty good film on its own merits, though the last act is pretty stupid since it's just 20 minutes of HEY REMEMBER THE SHINING? THAT WAS A GOOD ONE! that comes off as completely unnecessary.

I read the book and saw the movie. It was a completely unnecessary sequel. The traveling shining vampire group was well acted and creepy, but overall kinda dumb and cliche. The little girl who had the Shining was boring.
And movies shot on digital look so soulless.
This film sucks shit, the book is way better. The movie has no themes, it's just nostalgia bait for The Shining film. Billy was the best character in the book and the movie kills him and a bunch of other characters off because it doesn't know any good ways to build tension. Reddit loves this film and it's such midwit garbage.
Creepy clown.

Creepy clown but also felt like a movie and not a condensed 8 episode netflix series
Well, for starters, one of those movies had an underage girl get a train ran on her by her neighborhood friends and the other did not.
It was after the zoomer audience

Doctor is a better movie than both ITs
>Why did Doctor Sleep tank
Beats me? It was a good story well told with solid acting (apart from the Dad). I've watched it a few times
this has been on my 'to watch' list forever. Do anon's recommend it?
Way better than it has any business being for a 40 years later sequel. Cast is excellent. Good pacing.
thx, will watch it this week finally

Oh and Rebecca Ferguson is really hot in it.
She was hot yes but every time she said well hello there it was pretty cringy
I guess a Swede badly trying to sound Irish makes a change from Americans and Brits badly pretending to be each other.
It's creepy and heartfelt. Horror Kino
On a base level, it looked bad, name is dumb, no major star power.
